Simple Solution: Avoid Costly John Deere Hood Replacement or professional repairs.
First, assessing the damage on your John Deere plastic hood is crucial. Small cracks and breaks can often be fixed with Plastix-27 kits. You might need to consider replacing the entire hood section for more significant or more extensive damage or a more comprehensive repair, as we demonstrate in this video👉 • How to Restore A Crack...

I’ve been using 2 part putty sticks for some minor repairs,
but anything that smokes while it’s curing is always better !

I have another video that goes into much more detail on a larger repair the a product that is designed for plastics. It works much better than fiberglass. Fiberglass will separate from the plastic over time. Here’s a link to the video. I stumbled onto this guy over two years ago. He’s the expert when it comes to superglue and baking soda. He’s also experimented with corn starch. That said, I don’t remember if he’s used any other substrates. He’s done around 30 videos on this subject,
experimenting with many variations on how to use this technique.
