No way could he play baseball today the way Deon did back in the 90's. The skills Deon and Jalen have are much less valued the way the game is played today unfortunately IMO.

@@kentoncarter1103 not at all in fact many more home runs were hit last year than were hit in any year Deon played so the aluminum bats comment you made makes no sense. For the record Deion hit .300 once in 1992. He also hit below .250 in 5 seasons. Deion never hit 10 home runs in a season, and the game now is all about hitting the ball hard and going for home runs and extra base hits. Deion was a demon on the basepads as you rightly point out, but unfortunately that part of the game is much less valued today. I stand by comment. To be clear I am only talking about him as a baseball player I have no doubt he would be a shutdown corner in the NFL today. If MLB changes some rules, mound height, or something else where the game is played more like it was when Deion played I have no doubt he could be an effective rotational ballplayer as he was when he played.

Imagine how well Deon would have hit if he concentrated on just baseball.
