I have a friend who has a long bed version of this truck with original 312 v8 in her! She's in need of a restoration after sitting from raising kids, etc!!! We used to go 4 wheelin in her, she was always the one to pull the later model trucks outa deep holes! You damn neat couldn't get her stuck!! We called her tha Green Machine!
Learned to drive on a model similar to that but not 4x4. Belonged to my grandfather. He had transplanted an FE block 390 out of a school bus into it along with the auto trans. That thing would burn rubber for a full block! Great truck to learn to drive in :)
I used to have a 1961 F250 4x4 and it had a factory or dealer installed brush guard. Two support arms went thru those cutouts. Ive seen several over the years that were exactly like the one I had.

What a great truck! Just perfect, what and old truck should look like. Thanks for posting.
Awesome truck!
V-8 emblem was not introduced until the 65 model year. All 64 trucks had gear/lightning hood emblem.
Damned nice truck...
What are the cutouts above the front markers in the grill for? Never noticed them on that grill style before they are gone in 65

so it has two molded circles in the grill, what were they for? The hood emblem is for a 6 cylinder not a V8, engine change back some years ago?
nice truck...had a similar build but mine had the styleside box which I think is better looking.
Fires off faster than a fuel injected truck. Would have been a lot better without the music just dead silence.
Ugh the music
