Great video and Happy 2025! I did get a Chinesium stereo for my XJ40 2 years ago. It's a 1 din, with a baby screen in the middle, credit card sized. Like, the sound is bad, no bass and it's buggy, but it does have new features like BT and mp3, Android Auto. On the other hand, the Panasonic (or others) from back in the days have amazing sound, but are only CD and FM radio. Hard choice, but here in Canada CD players don't work at all in the cold anyway. Oh well, I still got to install the reverse camera on mine. Thank you!
Happy 2025 to you too! the sound quality on CDs are so much better than BT but with BT you can select any song you want within seconds. I'm also planning to install a reverse camera on my Mothers Jaguar.
I recommend using crutchfield for buying radios/brackets. You can purchase a plug in adapter where you have to do zero wiring or crimping. Also im pretty sure the bracket works you just have to undo the screws on the bracket then put the radio in first. Then screw the bracket onto the radio. Instructions are usually unclear it took me forever to figure out mine
Great tip! I'll check out Crutchfield and yeah, the bracket was tricky so far the stereo hasn't come out but I might go back in there are redo a few things. Thanks for sharing!
Just did the blend door actuator on my mom's 2003. Don't bother with the shortcuts I have seen every single video of the topic and I strongly advise you to just pull the entire dash out a few inches and have a small low profile 1/4" ratchet to get in there for the removal. It's not even a big difference in the number of fasteners you have to deal with to do it and it will be a lot easier to get to the difficult ones on the part itself. I am happy to share the video that I referred to, and I also have a lot of videos in a MGM 2k3 (4 applies too) playlist I have saved but it's not very organized and it has a few low value ones fair warning lol
@@XJJesse yeah it is a couple of hours for the job and that's because I was going slow and steady and putting everything in magnetic trays in groups for the simplest reassembly. I'll get the link to the video I found to be most helpful on my next comment. Note that you don't have to do that much disassembly as he mentions several times in the video. Getting a clean look at/grip on the part's fasteners is everything. Roll or fold back the extra insulation around the blend door area of the firewall. It is a challenge but a very doable job for a guy who doesn't do mechanic work professionally and I have had zero problems with the system for 4 months so far. Best of luck to you!
Not a bad job. The Grand Marquis gets no love from the after market radio manufacturers - I have not been able to find any that fit. I would want the screen to be the same size as the opening.
Not really happy with the final results, Wish the stereo fit better, and I’ll be cleaning up those wires in the trunk.
I installed the Atoto F7G2B7WES01. Perfect fit. Will send you a photo of you want. The backup camera installation instructions me out a lot.

@@XJJesse Yeah, life is full of compromises. Why can't we just have everything! 😂😂 (just a joke, but...) 😂

Thanks for the advice! I was trying to avoid pulling the dash, but I’ll take your word for it I don't want to deal with unnecessary headaches!

Do you hace a transmission service oil change video ? Mercury grand marquis
Happy new year Jesse! What does “finna” mean? I’m from England!
Happy New Year! 🎉 "Finna" is slang for "going to" or "about to."

I hear you on that! It’s frustrating that even the upgrade options are crazy expensive.
The Atoto F7G2B7WES01 fits pretty good.
Can you send me this radio wire harness link
