This honestly might be favorite track in the whole game. The buildup to get to this battle from having played the first persona Q all the way to this makes it that much more satisfying. I also agree that this track and the true final boss music should have been switched the other way around but to be honest both of them slap in their own way. The full OST album is now Spotify too, so you guys should go check it out!
Me, someone who doesnt know what persona is: "THe Calm, huh? I guess i'll give it a listen" Me: "This is too calm.... maybe i need something more upbeat" Persona Q2: 0:29
@@DrummerDucky fucking lol, OK hun, let's pretend that makes sense. Imagine thinking THIS is weak compared to, say, the barely qualitative garble that is SMT 1 or 2/SMT IF/ the PS1 Persona 1.
0:54 just hits. It’s sounds so majestic, and I love it. Oh, and I’d be remiss not to mention 1:54 . This song may be intense and imposing, but also kind of somber which is why I love it so much and it’s my favorite theme in the game.
I didn't even realize this track was in the game, as this phase only lasted two turns for me. I never got to the best parts of the track. This really should have been swapped with the second phase's music
The ONE thing Q2 made better than the first one was the music, which is impressive given the first Q's music was stellar. Too bad it dropped the ball in virtually every other aspect.
@@akeminakajima449 hard disagree. Persona musical motifs NEVER do it this way. What are you on about? This one starts off tense, but builds up in a more hopeful direction, making it perfect for the last stretch, while the Tempest is rather tense throughout the track overall, making it perfect for the first phase where the battle is yet uncertain. Other Persona games have always done it like this: tense > tense yet hopeful.
I swear I keep hearing Loud Nigra screaming in the background of the opening bits of this song.
oh god i hear it now

One of the best themes in the whole game, PQ2 really kills it with the soundtrack honestly
Meh, it's very weak in comparison to the rest of the SMT franchise, especially those scored by Meguro.
@@DrummerDucky I think he meant the whole game like just Persona Q2. While it's true SMT has more powerful tracks, this one is right up there too.

@@optimaltt6070 nah he's right. this is ok but can't touch the regular battle themes from SMT 1 and 2
@@optimaltt6070 ok I think PQ2s ost is really good and ducky is talking garbage but do we have to dunk on the games early soundtracks?
Dark reprises of the opening theme in here.
The calm... before the storm.

I know right
This song is so good... also underrated
The Calm...quite an ironic name for a final boss based after an ancient god of storms and justice.
well i mean the second phase is called "The tempest"
It’s probably based after the phrase “Calm before the storm”
But it starts playing before THE STORM.
So in this game you fight the goddess of wind
Yeah the comments are right
This song gives me life
of course the boss before the final boss as to have the MARVELOUS OST instead of the final boss.
I feel like this would be better with Yumi Kawamura, Shihoko Hirata, and Lotus Juice's vocals, but it's still a bop

This should have been the final boss theme while "The Tempest" plays in the fight that plays this song. The two battles should have switched songs.
Just like in Persona 4 lol
Nah they're fine how they are. This is more in line with Persona musical motifs anyway.

What a fantastic final song, best 3DS game ever!
And also the last :^)
How to make this a even Better OST=1.25x
Is it just me or does this sound a bit like doom?
The guitar part sounds really heavy. I agree it reminds me of Doom
