      Thanks for reviewing a 4080 range laptop! I agree it's more than enough. Can you please do a review of the MSI Raider 18HX 4080 UHD or QHD? I'm looking for an indepth review to see whether the heatpipes in the Raider18 vs vapor chamber in MSI's higher range Titan&Stealth, can manage 4k or Highworkrate or gaming without overheating. I'm hoping they can send you a sample version to test.

      For Gen 10, they should definitely bring back the lighting of the ports at the back. The rgb lighting removed is ok. If they can also use mini led screens and incorporate a 16:10 with 18" it will be great

      You are right it's not worth that. To put that into perspective my Asus rog zephyrus duo 16 with 4080 an and CPU ( which you can literally still play games on honestly at medium setting) it has 2k mini led at 240 hz an a second a second screen at 4k 60hz an I got this for 2300. That's way more worth it compared to this over priced this. You can literally go to basically any other company an get the same specs for several hundred less. Don't get a 4090 though it has same power limits as a 4080 so you don't get to even abuse the power

      Man calm down, that price is in different regions. I paid 2175, 2376 after tax for this exact model two weeks ago. I literally put it side to side with a 2024 rog strix scar 16 and there was a slight difference but the scar will blind you. The screen is actually good and the pro 7i performance was better than the scar for less money.

    thanks a lot for your responses 🙏 , still I have one more question , when im putting balanced mode wich is the recommended plan from win , it gaves me the best results, less temp ans less noise and more fps unlike the balance +ai mode or performance mode that's giving me 12c more on temp , fps slightly better but maybe 10-15 more fps only and the fan are noise , how it can be ?

    • @OWNORDISOWN
      @OWNORDISOWN  13 дней назад

      Are you talking about the balanced mode within windows itself or the balanced mode in the advantage software? I think in my testing I switched the windows power profile to high performance but I don't think it makes a whole lot of difference. Certainly the AI in their software ups the CPU power in game which results in a higher temperature and depending on how your cooling is it may throttle if it goes above 95 degrees. Mine cooled quite well, although there were instances where I saw the CPU go above 95.
      Also, it is very game dependant so you may see one result in one game and you may get something different in another. I tested the AI in 4 games if I recall and all 4 were faster (and hotter) than standard balanced mode.

    Great review stephen. Sad to see the vapor chamber go wasted on the pathetic rtx ''4080''. This laptop can easily handle a 230w 4080 desktop and retain 95% of its performance.
    The acer helios predator went down to $1600 recently packing a 4080 and i9 13900hx. You can do the smokeless bios method to unlock undervolting (screw acer for blocking that). Its made of metal too. I can't justify spending 2x more for just a better cpu mainly.
    Lenovo should offer a ryzen hs version. I'd imagine it would last 9 to 10hr if they optimize it.

      @@OWNORDISOWN I don't mind the design of some of the older legions. But the problem is the price. If these designs stay the same, then surely the production cost would lower over the years. If that happens then lenovo can constantly reduce the price or keep the price the same which will greatly help offset nvidia's higher gpu prices. They could start offering more OLED options, etc.
      Because if you see the nitro's, they've stepped up massively. To the point of rivaling some of the older legions in most aspects including build.
