I loved follyfoot, I'm a guy 68 and watched the series about , God knows how many times. Fav episode is Dora, when she got out that car...wow...my biggest regret I have never met her..sadly , it's those eyes
Last I knew , Steve had spent his weekend visiting his Gran whilst the papers were reporting on how his mum had been evicted and was nowhere to be seen . I come here to escape the confusion & silliness of 2022 and now get puzzled by plot lines ….🏴❤️

@@rmarcko This was top class drama in my view , in some ways ahead of it`s time ,sad for me to watch as I lost my mum last year , i often watch the bit when Steve finds his mum wishing it was me finding my mum !!
@@berwickboy316 I'm very sorry to hear of your huge loss. For me, that happened in 2014 and it was the biggest 'wrench' of my life. I really enjoyed watching Seasons 1 and 2, but didn't realise there was a third season. I now have the DVD set and have just finished watching Seasons 1-3. I found the acting and storylines to be highly emotive and was surprised by the dark undertones that were apparent in some episodes. David Hemming's directorial style also treated the audience to scenes bordering on a kind of subtle surrealism ... extremely rare in a series that was aimed at young people. To be honest, l had no idea that a programme which is essentially about the care of aging and infirm horses could have such depth, but now am truly grateful for having the opportunity to dive so deeply into one of the better social commentaries of it's time.
@@rmarcko Thank you for your message about my mum , yes it is very hard to take. Follyfoot always asked a lot of questions but rarely gave us the answers and despite Three seasons I don`t believe we truly knew the characters in the story , Ron was a real man of mystery,it could easily have been shown in the 8.30 evening slot , take "The Debt" you would have expected Steve and his mum to go off in the sunset hand in hand but Follyfoot had the skill and courage to stick with "real life", I must confess the end of watching that episode this evening had me in tears. I see that as well as David Hemmings directing , Michael Apted ( 7up and every other 7 years ) cut his teeth on Follyfoot.
@@berwickboy316 Let those tears flow and cleanse the soul. It seems a shame that Gillian more or less stopped acting after Follyfoot, but family life was more important to her, which we can all understand. Similarly for Steve, although he has remained active, it is not particularly clear as to what he has been doing professionally, although he has been collaborating with Christian Rodska on various projects. Christian, on the other hand, has been involved with a number of successful ventures.
