I'm looking at hogans billet intake manifold but my buddy says go with carbon fiber intake instead of hogans what's your thought I don't have any clue to this

At your price point these intakes need to out perform others like the Fast lsxr by a conciderable amount otherwise they aren't worth the expense. Where are your dyno runs?
