Each member's goodbye was reflective of their personality which Jin is acutely aware. As the oldest hyung he did his job well and knows his babies inside and out. He will be missed.

The way i miss Seokjin i know it's hard for the members and us but we have to stay strong for him. I hope he is keeping well and is eating all his meals. This moment made me cry so much and the fact for youth played!!!

I think this is one of the first times I’ve ever truly felt the passage of time for them. Everything always feels like it’s happening all at once and it’s never slowed down. We’ve never had to say goodbye. And even though it’s only for a little while, it’s still a real and palpable moment. You can feel their love for each other and how much they’ll miss each other. jk’s silence was so loud to me. He’s going to miss his hyung so much. They all are. I became an army in 2017 and I’m almost 26 now and I feel like so much of my life has been lived alongside theirs. Yoongi’s eyes when they were watching him out there, almost like he was scared or thinking about the future. I’m also thinking about, whoever is the last to go in… they’ll be all alone and no one will be there to send them off. We have to do this six more times, Seb. And I’m heartbroken. I know it’s not forever. But this hurts different. Even Namjoon knows it doesn’t feel right. I’m going to miss Seokjin so much. I’m going to miss them all so much and I’m so grateful that Hybe gave us a real goodbye. They let us see them say goodbye. Even though it hurts to watch them go, at least we were able to see them all together one last time before our waiting begins. BTS is so important to me. I’ll be here for them when they get back. Army Forever 💜 Bangtan Forever.

I was crying with you. I am a military brat and have lived on a few bases because of my dad being in the military. I have had many friends that had to leave for the military. Training isn't fun but it isn't forever. Jin will be back before we know it. Fighting!!!💜

The day he went in the military is the day the postman delivered my Wootteo. I just looked at it and burst into tears and gave it the biggest cuddle. I have a little part of Jin here with me. I needed something physical to hold on to, now with Wootteo here l take him outside at night to look up at the moon and we talk to Jin,it really helps sharing what l feel with Wootteo.
I know that sounds silly but l cope the best day l can ,and l hope all ARMYs find a way to cope with their saddens too.

im worried, of course im worried. my country also had mandatory military service not so long ago, my dad was in the military when he was young for two years (i think), so i kinda understand. i know that celebrities have it even harder in the military, but he will be okay, i just know that he will be. he's kim seokjin after all. and team kim seokjin always wins

The way i broke down trying to watch this, i don't cry easily yet im literally bawling my eyes out rn
I've legit known that these people exist for like 6 months and I'm a hot mess, calling off sick from work, curled up grieving like I'm losing a best friend. I can't imagine how long-time ARMYs are dealing with this. These guys came into my life at the perfect time, helped me cope with the darkest period of my life, and just when I felt like they got me through until the end I see them start to leave one-by-one. It feels unfair that they're going just when I started to really get to know them. I wish I hadn't binge watched so much in such a short time. If I'd known, I would have paced myself more. Now I'm afraid to watch too many new stuff because what if I run out of things before they get back? I can't believe I'm taking it all this hard when I'm like a fetus ARMY. It seems ridiculous to love them as much as I do already.
We will go through this together! Ive been ARMY for a little over a year and they bring my smile daily...I dont know what im going to do without them. They also brought me out of a very dark place so I understand 💜 Stay strong 💜

ZariDV, you are so sweet. BTS is bringing me out of my darkest time too right now. In this dark time I at least have some good news. BTS has huge amounts of contents that you probably don't know yet. RUN BTS (their own variety shows), their stage performances since debut in 2013, Bangtan Bomb episodes, and Disney + is going to air BTS Documentary soon. 💜 I've been an ARMY for 3 yrs, binge watching and I still haven't caught up. I've been a G about this ALL WEEK! Didn't cry when I first saw Jin with his hair cut. I didn't cry when I saw the photos of the guys sending him off, I was handling it. Until I came here, saw Seb crying, and heard For Youth. As soon as it started playing, the tears started dropping. I've only been ARMY for 3 years, but I've never felt a love and connection to any artist like I do with BTS. All of these guys are so sweet and so caring, and it's hard knowing they'll have to go away for a while. Though I carry the same worries as Seb and the rest of ARMY, I'm trying my best to be positive. Jin, and all of the guys will return from service safe, healthy, and even greater role models than they were before. Love to WWH, and to everyone who's missing him. ✌🏽❤️💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

We have similar mandatory military service in my country too and my only son who just finished college is waiting to enlist anytime in 2023. Watching Jin and the other members here, I now understand why parents cried at entrance ceremonies. Guess I’ll be crying 8 times in total 😭 and it made me a real MamaArmy 🤔

Yeah. What hurts is the fact that one of the 7 sweet babies that brings comfort for millions by singing about positive feelings for the world...has to go and hold a weapon of destruction to serve his country. It hurts because it goes against the very thing he stands for. It's hard. IT BREAKS MY HEART.

That place is so close to N. Korea and it is seriously cold there. It just happened to be one of those coldest day in Korea. Yes, I'm worried but hopefully he meet some really good people there. my heart kept pounding all week counting down in my head his enlistment date and it was the first thing i woke up to on Tuesday and i was legitimately stunned and was just so so anxious but kept thinking if i who don't really know him even if I've been his fan for six years but so protective and heartbroken for him, then it must be hell for the rest of the members and his family.
and i just kept remembering the moments of him saying to the members that hyung will do it for you and flashes of him with the rest of the guys and the hugs and the love....ugh man!
here in Egypt, military is mandatory for men and they enlist for 3 years but most of my family and relatives are girls so i've never experienced sending some one off before but I really feel with Jin that i've sent my brother off and my heart just hurts.
but it will pass and he will hopefully come back safe and the rest will do, we're that emotional because we're too invested and we've seen the shit they've gotten through over their enlistments, but other idols enlist all the time and come back safe and sound and he will too.
it will pass and in no time we will see the seven of them again soon and who knows maybe some of them will meet when the rest enlist!!

Just remember that Jin is the first of 7 to go serve. And be the first return. I think it is better this way, it's just another rite of passage they will have to go through & they will come out stronger on the other side. If other Korean boys could do it, for decades now, so can they. There's a reason why BTS was first conceived with a military concept. It was probably written in the stars. And by them not going to serve, it will feel odd. Haters & critics will condemn & mock them for not going, for the rest of their lives. And for those worrying about hazing inside the military, I am sure there will be higher security, because BTS is one of the most important things that SK may ever have. Once all of BTS gets through service, they will most likely be the first musical concept to have had both fictional & real military experience. And they will actually now be able to hand real guns, real bombs (grenades etc), real bulletproof vests, possible actual scout recon experience, etc. And of course, be part of 2 army's... SK Army & BTS ARMY. And yes, even a real muster. And yes, possibly a bit more muscles. Eighteen (18) months may sound like a lot, but 10-20 years from now, fans & BTS themselves will remember how quick it was, in hindsight. And if you want to blame anyone on South Korean military service, then first blame it on Karl Marx & Vlad Lenin, both from over a century ago.

I'm x military. Granted, it was US military but I think his fellow soldiers will watch out for him. Jin is so loving, there are enough ARMY in the military they will watch out for him. I've been avoiding watching that bts bomb bcs i don't want to bawl my eyes out. I stanned them for 7-8 years now and there was a year where I somehow stopped voting for them in shows and became a casual listener. I feel like my time as an ARMY was already done and it's time for others to see and hear BTS' songs and messages. I couldn't explain my feelings when Jin enlisted but I know it's for his country and for him also. I'll keep support you and BTS from afar. You've come a long way... See you soon, Jin💜

I served for almost 10 years in the USMC and found BTS after I was discharged. I hope he knows that all of Army is thinking of him and Hobi and wishing them well. Training is tough but he has a world of support. Thanks for sharing.

I heard that as soon as they walk around the corner of the building as a group from the ceremony a Sargeant starts cursing them and screaming at them. Typical I know but still you come with all your nervousness, family is crying maybe you are too, and BAM! All I can think is that Jin is laughing underneath his face mask.
I find that hard to believe, please don't share rumours. If you read an interview with a young man who has been there, he said the hardest part was the physical side, and the leaders were really nice.
Please don't encourage negative ideas.
Jin will be fine. He will make "friends" ,
something he says he's never had, so very important. And these guys will be life-long friends....from a different perspective other than BTS. Another former military, I can't remember if it was the same guy or not, said with the role he had, he's never been so bored in his life.

I think after that, they have limited cell phone access,? but with a military phone, obviously. I've been reading all kinds of things, who knows what's true.
Anyway, these 200 other young men and their families are going through the same thing - so sad and emotional and scary.
Another thing that crossed my mind, I wonder why they had such a huge new "class" start 12 days before Christmas?
But I do know a large portion of Korea aren't Christians. Some members of BTS even.
So I know it's sad for many reasons, but if Jin can do it, so can we. He must have had some long talks with his father and brother about what to expect...real experiences, Not rumours.
Anyway, enough for now.
I will miss Jin like we all will. Hang in there, we got this.

It didn't feel real until it happened. I got so emotional watching all the members faces, Jin saying goodbye and Jungkook being so quiet but his eyes saying everything.. IT HURTS . That made me cry so much 😭😭😭😭😭
