@@joshhart4652 great question. How familiar are you with your diving computer and equipment? I had all brand new equipment so I would have gone to a local dive shop to test my equipment more. Also remember to prevent going blue because you're chasing an animal and not paying attention to your diving computer or your surroundings. My friend and I went blue because we chased a manta ray. You get excited and don't realize how quickly you end up at 100+ feet under water while the rest of the group moved on. As for GoPro settings I'd probably keep all the settings to auto instead of my normal custom settings. I don't get seasickness but a decent amount of people do so bring medicine for that just in case. Take it before you leave the marina. Make sure you know how to blow up your orange donut (I forget the real name for it). I've always been used to the dive master inflating it so I never paid attention on how to do it myself. Depending on your air usage, you may surface before everyone else. Or in my case, going blue and being far from the boat. That's something a lot of people already know how to do but I'd say I was more of a newbie diver compared to others on the trip.
