I only had the g915 for a review on my desk and while it's a cool board the logtech gl brow switches were noticeable worse than kailh choc browns wich seems to be the switch they are based of. How logitech managed to make an existing switch worse is baffling to me. Also the use of thin keycaps wich are basically unreadable without backlight and the use of mini usb seems to be a very big oversight for a 250 dollar keyboard. The blackwidow v3 pro seems to be overpriced as well. Razer greens are by far razers worse switches and it is beyond me why razer used abs keycaps on their highest end board, when they have awesome pbt keycaps in production already. When Companys have such high prices, there shouldn't be any compromise in terms of featureset and build quality. Plus wireless connection on a board that doesn't move on the desk is nice but not more than a gimmick. Both are not worth it imo.

Your review is the only one I've seen that points out the G915's lack of illumination for the secondary keys (I think this is more than an oversight on others reviews). I use my keyboard at night so having those keys lit matters to me. That being said, I agree with you in that the G915 is the better value over the BWV3Pro. Thanks for a great review.
this depend of the layout, i've the BWV3Pro with french layout and it's worse than the G915, on the BWV3Pro french, only the secondary keys have light, on the first row, which is awful (the main numbers and 3rd keys didn't have illumination)
I was in between the two and went to the store for testing today. Was my first time trying mechanical switches. I wanted to like the logitech more since that's what I always had, and I like the way it looks and all the stuff he talks about in the video. Long story short, I was much more comfortable and accurate on the v3 Pro and liked the multi-media controls more on it. I should say they only had the logi brown tactile and v3 pro green to test with. I was also surprised I liked the clicky more. I did not find it harder to type with than membrane or scissor switches. The g915 felt similar to my laptop keyboard. I tried the mx keys, which also felt like my laptop. However, the mx keys mechanical was nice to use. After today, I'm between the v3 pro and mx keys mechanical. I'm just still so surprised how much I liked the v3 pro it was like it was pulling and pushing my fingers exactly to where they were supposed to be. I'd say I tested 30+ keyboards at the store today.

Logitech is so far ahead when it comes to battery life on wireless keyboards. I am going with G915 for that reason. I have MX Keys and it is so great to only have to charge it every month or so.
G915 - after a week of use in the G915, one of the buttons started having a "double click". My old K360 keyboard did not have such a problem for several years.
The G915 has major issues with saving profiles on to the onboard memory. Advise that people that would need this feature read up on the many complaints from exisiting owners. It's a massive shame as it is a gorgeous device but I will have to return mine.
I dont know where you got your information about the battery from but they are completely wrong. Logitech own website says it has 30h with full RGB lol
Imagine a G915 V2 with the new Cherry MX Ultra Low Profile switches. But I atleast hope that they will implement USB-C and better media buttons similar to razer. A knob or dial that you could reprogram to different functions such as scrolling through time lines.
If I’m shopping for a desktop gaming keyboard, I don’t want a light frame. I want a heavy, thicc boi. We need more stable, insulated keyboards on the market. I had a old IBM mechanical keyboard for YEARS, it had a legacy PS-2 cable which is less latency compared to USB. The best keyboard for gaming or typing I ever had…fairly quiet no rattles and the switches and keys were tough as nails. It was a big heavy boi too. We need more of THAT on the market.
As far as screen sampling goes, you can do it on Razer, but it's finnicky. You have to individually choose a portion of the screen for every single key. The quickest way to do it accurately I've found is to download or take a front on picture of the keyboard, stretch it to whatever aspect ratio your screen is, and use that as a backdrop. It also slows down other chroma effects when you have too many different sections mapped. Looks dam sexy though, worth all the fuss in my opinion. Alternatively I suppose you could map broad sections of the screen to broad sections of the keyboard.
I really wanted to like the G915 (Typing on it right now). Everything about the keyboard is great. The main and only reason I'm returning this keyboard is because the keys are too low and not spaced enough for me. It's even more uncomfortable when you include a wrist pad. I'm coming from a Corsair K70 mx blue. If Corsair released a wireless mx blue keyboard, I would instantly buy it. I will be trying the Wireless Razer Blackwidow, but it looks like we're still a couple generations away from a true complete wireless keyboard.
damm, im using the Corsair K70 mx blue right now and thinking about getting a G915. You made me think twice about that :v. And actually if Corsair make that K70 wireless, it would be awesome.
My biggest problem with the G915 was the very low quality switches and keycaps. I typed on that thing for about 3 weeks before the poor quality of the G915 became fully apparent. Those keycaps are micro-thin, painted and mounted to switches that will pivot and snag if you strike them slightly off angle. Such a great idea, implemented in an ultra-china-cheap way. Regarding the Razer, I had high hopes they would make a lo-pro competitor, but it looks like they ran straight in the opposite direction. Sadly I won't be buying either.
People are getting 160-170 wpm with the G915. I don't think people would be able to do that if they had that issue. But maybe you just type in a way that doesn't jive with that keyboard in particular.
Tbh I’m not even into gaming as much anymore. I currently use MX keys for my Mac set up at home. Looking for a RGB keyboard to make working at home a little interesting lol.
I bought both during Amazon's prime day deals. The blackwidow v3 pro arrived first, opened it, loved it. i've got o-rings installed to lower the bottom out noise. even better now.. love the clicks. There is literally no point in getting a wireless razer keyboard. I can't believe the battery life on it. If you get a blackwidow elite for $100 dollars cheaper, you get USB and audio password and cable routing which can hide the cable all together if you want the wireless experience.
I wanted the g915 but ended up going with the blackwidow as i managed to pick it up for £100 during the black friday deals and i already use a Razer Basilisk mouse so i wont need two dongles rather than just 1

I have a really nice wired off brand (reddragon 107) gaming keyboard that is very quiet and has rubbery caps and feels awesome but I need something like that in a wireless... version...
I can only confirm it with the five G513 keyboards i returned due to this issue (together with ghosting). At some of them the peeling of the keycaps color already happend after a good month of using.

the fact that the G915 uses a micro-USB cable for that price is just unacceptable. It's enough to make me not reconsider my Blackwidow V3 purchase (and it was like full retail at Microcenter), for that price we should not be getting outdated flimsy tech

If I'm ever to go for a full sized keyboard, I would want all the bells and whistles. It is one of the reasons of getting a full sized board aside from whether you need the numpad. So in my opinion, when it's on sale, the G915 has to be my choice.
For mice, I understood the need for wireless. At the moment have and love both G502 Lightspeed and Deathadder V2 Pro. But keyboard that's stationary? Waste of money. Just get the wired versions for less money.
Yeah its understandable. But if you have alot of money to spend on a keyboard and your either looking for a wireless setup with no visible wires, no holes drilled in desks and no cable management with the keyboard. Or you might use it at work.
is true cause there are easy ways to hide cables on a desk. the plus side is if you have a pc to TV setup, you can unplug and bring the keyboard to your couch or bed and play from there. thats the main advantage or wireless, not just the look

Get the green clicky switches on the Razer. My first clicky keyboard and i frkn love it.
wait a few months until you admit "yea, it's cool, but I wish those were tactile instead of clicky" :D (maybe I'm wrong but other than for typists, it's always the case)
@@L0vacyeah i don't know, its been a year and still going strong. Maybe it would be annoying to others but I live alone. I do use it for gaming, but the audible click is super helpful when I'm doing 3D modeling and gives that confirmation that the key/tool is active. The rest of the time it just feels like I'm operating a terminal in Fallout haha
@@danielgroenewald3006 :D Indeed; it comes down to personal pref. I'm glad that you love it ^^ Personally, I had to switch from CherryMX Blue to Brown because I couldn't hear my thoughts when furiously typing :D Took me some time, but after it, I got used to "feel" the bump on Browns. Now that I think of it, I wish I had both and just change them according to my likings
What i do find a bit awkward are those secundary icons on the caps of the blackwidow being that big. Though it is clear ro read
really glad i went with g915
does Razer offer this in TKL?
Actually no. Another point to Logitech, that offers both full size and TKL to suit whatever the buyer wants.
They do actually offer a TKL size!
@@javon999 No mate, they don't. Razer released the Blackwidow V3 (wired) and the Blackwidow V3 Pro (wireless + some extra features). Pro version costs $90 more. They also launched a TKL version of the basic V3, not the V3 Pro featured in this video, wich is what @joe TheBet was asking about. But who knows, maybe in the near future...
You need to measure the latency difference between the two keyboards
Me who never touched a mechanical keyboard in my whole entire life:
Battery life shouldn't be an issue. these will literally sit on your desk, they are not cell phones haha.
until it run out of battery during combat ...
I'm surprised to see nothing g915 tkl related? Unless I'm just not seeing it..
1:32
g915 : les kiss forever
black widow v3 pro : yes pls
now thats a weird simping and oofing
Thank you! Because of your video I managed to find out which keyboard to get! 😃
why you didnt compare the most important thing here is '' letancy '' ... which one has better wireless conettion and reaction...you could show the nubmers to us ...miliseconds...
I have the logitech G915 and Razer I prefer the G915 due to wireless and more buttons
There is literally no point in getting a wireless razer keyboard. I can't believe the battery life on it. If you get a blackwidow elite for $100 dollars cheaper, you get USB and audio password and cable routing which can hide the cable all together if you want the wireless experience.
I wanted the g915 but ended up going with the blackwidow as i managed to pick it up for £100 during the black friday deals and i already use a Razer Basilisk mouse so i wont need two dongles rather than just 1
how did you connect both
Your channel is severely underrated. You should have a million subscribers. Keep it up and you'll get there. Cheers!
g915 vs k100? plz
I wonder what battery size capacity these boards have. I mean they a big and i can easily carry a big 10k mAh battery. I have not found any site making note of this. Kinda weird!
That G board must have a big bulky battery having those EPIC numbers for wireless and having RGB on. Thats pretty impressive!
Love the hoody.
"It's not the size of the dongle, it's where you plug it in."
I came for the dongle jokes.
At $310AU I was pretty pissed to find the secondary keys are not lit. This is unacceptable for a keyboard of this cost and standard.
i personally like low profile switches more so g915/913 is my favorite
and also i don't need wrist rest with low profile keyboard
and also razer is too bright for me
Great comparison!
Both keyboards sound louder than I like... I'm not trying to be picky but I live in a small house and have a baby that will hear it. I have a really nice wired off brand (reddragon 107) gaming keyboard that is very quiet and has rubbery caps and feels awesome but I need something like that in a wireless... version...
you can use mx cherry red silent switches, quiet and main-brand.
Painted ABS on the G915 keycaps scare me though, especially with how I'm seeing people with peeled/fading keycaps online
I can only confirm it with the five G513 keyboards i returned due to this issue (together with ghosting). At some of them the peeling of the keycaps color already happend after a good month of using.
The problem is that there is no competition to Logitech when we are talking about battery life.
I just got G915 for 130$ !!! :D It was my dream keyboard since premiere! And finally I found bargain ocassion, so I hasn't hesitate a second and got it! :D And I LOVE this keyboard! Previously I had G910, which looks like cheap plastic toys near this!!! And previously also ancient G11... And Genius Manticore...
How’d you get it for so cheap?
@@brandon080693 On our Polish eBay, Allegro... And yes, it was bargain! Shift key was making some crank noise, and I was prepared to even change switch, but it was enough to just put some special grease on this metal holder of the key 😁 So I fixed it myself in 5 minutes for free 😁
the fact that the G915 uses a micro-USB cable for that price is just unacceptable. It's enough to make me not reconsider my Blackwidow V3 purchase (and it was like full retail at Microcenter), for that price we should not be getting outdated flimsy tech
Thick & chonky vs thin & sleek. Should be an interesting vid.
Now add ROG Claymore II to the competition...
Also your sound test is meaningless if we don't know which switch your test unit actually uses lol.
Rog wins 🙆♂️
5-8 hours batt life for razer? Are u sure?
The deal breaker is low profile switch/key's it just ruined it for me they look horrible plus you can't change your keycaps why logitech just why did you have to that to yourselves and customers.
Abubaker Ali Some people like low-profile keyboards. My self inculed.
@@lex1ckon I like logitech and have purchased handfuls of their products, I am sure there is a market for low profile keyboard that's why they made it.
likewise there are people who despise the "grotesque" look, impractical stem and isolation with keycap options and who logitech stubbornly alienated by their choice like myself, why loose "old" customers by shoving a vision down their throats!
Would have loved to see them adopt universal keyboard layouts, hotswap keys, modular numbpads, left side numbpads.
Perhaps with their growth they become too bloated and detached from their customers.
Anyways just my opinion sorry for the rant 😂
Razer is better but I don't love both cause low profile mechanical switches are not good (only for laptops it would be ok)
But this Razer is not low profile.
@@viniciusrodrigues9592 i didn't do punctuation. I mean I don't like both for diffeent reasons but logitech one for being low profil
@@Donbros oh, sorry! I thought you believed Razer was low profile when you said "I don't love both cause low profile..." Anyway, at this price tag I wouldn't go for any of those as well, there are better deals at this budget.
@@viniciusrodrigues9592 i think logitech have potential but they should make all alu high pro version with their receiver at 200 usd and go with 1800 layout. That would be keyboard even enthusiast would consider
I am happy with my G915, until the day my W keycap leg break n stuck inside the switch and become a keyboard size paper weight, you will hate it too when it happen to you., until than enjoy the keyboard.
gotta love that 9th ed 40k rule book ;)
i just simply dont like the flat switches of the logitech, so im kinda thinking razor on this one
The Logitech one doesn't come with a wrist rest? :(
Nope.
It doesnt need one because its so thin
Why isn't the Razer in Mercury white?!?! Why must you come so close to the perfect keyboard and the FAIL!
Yeah.G915 is safer bet if you want officework + gaming option.
Last week i Sold my blackwidow chroma v2 for my apex pro keyboard. I hate the loud Green Switches from razer. And i love the silent linear Switches from the apex pro. Btw the apex Switches are the fastest on market.
Why did you get green switches then 😂
@@Juply because the v3 pro have only the greens in germany.
@@chrisdergrinch4875 oh...
The Logitech keyboard is definitely my favorite but i wish to god they'd just ditch those useless G Keys on the left side.
@@cuddlycuttlefish5674 the G915 does have the G buttons on the side...
@@Mwtorres89 yeah sorry
If I'm ever to go for a full sized keyboard, I would want all the bells and whistles. It is one of the reasons of getting a full sized board aside from whether you need the numpad. So in my opinion, when it's on sale, the G915 has to be my choice.
I have a question.Deathadder V2 or Viper(Normal) for Fotnite?
Based on your hand size and your grip style
the only thing in my mind is Razer Huntsman Elite
1088h vs 192h and 96h vs 8h !!!!!
Dongle measuring
shorter is faster for me, travel i dont see it. if i travel i like to go to a warm place and a beach.
The wheel of the razer gets dust and it gets unusable.
Judging by specs, Logitech is more compelling if price is not an issue.
How do you not have over 100k, like, this is the best tech channel
Soldier 76 yey!! and thank you for the video of course :D I suscribed! Cheers from Mexico
i hate the low profile keys of the g915 so for me its the razer that wins also because im already in they're eco system
If the Logitech G915 used USB-C I probably would have gotten it
Battery life killed the Razer for me
There aren’t many options....
