@@joynguyen2855 yes definitely much cheaper places but I'm in love and refuse to leave my small neighborhood. It's literally where I do everything at. If I want in love with my neighborhood as much I would definitely stay somewhere else.
Stumbled on your videos the other day and been watching a ton! Really great and informative videos man. Love all the detail of the streets and apartments. Very interested in Da Nang with a family of 4.
Thank you for your time. Coming back to Da Nang on Tuesday, staying at the Monarque for a week, then Nihn Toan Galaxy Hotel until the 1st. Then I'm staying long-term at the Galaxy. You know I just can't resist a free buffet breakfast 🙂
Thanks for the videos.. I'm also looking for apartments at the moment. I always thought the west side of the river was cheaper but i'm thinking you get most for your money in the Son Tra area, which still has a load of restaurants and expat friendly places. More of these reviews pls :)
I kind of think your best value is an thuong. Son tra is definitely cheaper but it's much more local and you miss out on a lot of the restaurants grocery stores and other amenities.
@@TonyWade-m7q I do get requests for that. But few issues. One is that there's very few houses by the beach. Which most people want to live by. For 2 they are not cheap or easy to do because of the shirt stay visa. There is no long-term visa here. Also a lot of my viewers are budget travelers. But I am trying to figure out a way to come up with ideas for house videos.
I instantly recognized Muong Thanh! I stayed there a few months ago. Did the $335 and $285 apartment options you showed require longer rental periods and deposits? I might do a few more months there in 2025 so I'd appreciate any advice/info. Keep up the good work. Also, for anyone reading my comment and worried that the places shown in this video are far from the beach, they aren't.

@markhook5382 I have been down that street many times. I believe I know the approximate position of that place. I think it's either directly across from the cafe and next to le bourdoux? Or is it across the street from the park?
@@acaciomadeira5147 local people maybe they can't afford it, but for Americans and most western travelers $300 is extremely affordable. Especially when the average cost of a 1 bedroom in California in my area is like $1300 a month if not more.

@Willtravelz Typically more. In Denver 6 years ago, a tiny 1br is around $1,600 or more, and in a bad hood. As a person trying to survive on disability, it's impossible to not end up on the streets if you're by yourself in the USA.

Great video, Will. I suggest heading to neighboring areas like My Khe 7 and Chinh Huu, where you can even find cheaper apartments (around $150 USD).

Yes true. And that's great that you stayed here also. It's my finding overall building to stay at when you factor in price and value and location.
@@Willtravelz Those prices you quoted were for how long? How much of a deposit did they require?
@Alex_Unorthodox the amount that I quoted is per month and most wanted a 3 month contract. With 1 month security deposit.
What about doing some 2 bedroom appointments but set back a few blocks also?
I'm currently renting a 2 bedroom now. The only reason I want to move from my 2 bedroom is to save at least 4 million ($150 or more)
