Gorgeous work. Seeing your work has given me motivation. I started 'Up The Chimney' 5 years ago! I'm getting back into my cross stitching again now and I'm determined to finish it. 😃

After watching many of your videos, i am inspired and thinking about changing my technique. Do you ever get column lines? How do you prevent them? Is your secret to avoiding column lines by letting the tails of thread hang down in the back? If that will keep column lines from showing up, i will do that.

    • @komari100
      @komari100  3 года назад +3

      コラムラインとはチャート1枚ごとに分かれ目が出てしまう線の事でしょうか?平均的に同じ力加減でステッチしているとラインは入らなくなると思います。私も1作目のHAEDの最初の方はラインが入ったように思いますが、今では全くコラムラインは入っていません。
      私のステッチの仕方が良いのかは分からないけど、
      糸の処理は全くしていません。
      HAED以外の小さなクロスステッチは糸の処理はちゃんとやりますが、
      全面をステッチするHAEDは、ステッチしていくと糸は裏側で巻き込まれていくため、余計な工程は省いています。
If that will keep column lines from showing up, i will do that. Column lines are the lines that separate each chart? I think if you stitch with the same amount of force on average, the lines will not go in. I think I got a line at the beginning of my first HAED, but now I don't have a column line at all.
I don't know if my stitching technique is any better.
I don't handle the thread at all.
I don't know if it's the way I stitch, but I don't do any thread treatment at all.
But for HAED, which is stitched on the entire surface, the thread gets caught on the back side as it is stitched, so I skip the extra step.
The English is translated by a translator, so sorry for the confusion.

I stitched page one in three days, a 36-page chart piece, some of which took six months to complete, and the one that took a year to complete was James C Christensen's "Faery Tales" by First HAED.
