I sat in the congregation listening to (then) Evangelist Locke preach this message. I was there. There was complete silence . It was a very terrifying but much needed message to hear then as well as now. During altar call approximately 32 people came to the altar and were Baptized In Jesus Name. (Hallelujah!) This message has stayed on my mind for 34 years. Praise your Holy Name Lord!

Hell and the lake of fire is not the same place hell Luke 16:19-31 and Psalm 49:16-20 but the lake of fire does not have anybody in it right now but Revelation 20:11-15 and Revelation 20:10 and verse 14 tells us that the death and Hades(hell) will be cast into the lake of fire and Matthew 25:41 please 2 Timothy 2:15 study yourself when you get home to make sure what you heard is true and in the book of Acts 17:11 what you hear go search your scriptures examine them daily to make sure that’s what God said because pastors are human beings too
Hell definitely needs to be the topic of more sermons & teachings, especially in these days wherein more people have the false idea of that, when they die, death is the end of their consciousness & everything about their person, & others, knowing there is existence after death, think they're going to "Heaven" even though they've not obeyed Christ Jesus the Almighty's Biblical set of salvific mandates, i.e. to repent (rf. Matthew 4:17 & Luke 13:3 & 5), to submit to water baptism in His Name "Jesus" for the remission of sins (rf. John 3:3 & 5-7 & Mark 16:16), to seek the infilling of His Spirit with the initial evidentiary sign of speaking in an unlearnt foreign language or languages "as the Spirit gives the utterance" (rf. John 3:3 & 5-7 & 7:37-38 with Mark 16:17-18), & to abide in Him & His sanctification process (rf. John 15). Let me hurry, though, to offer a couple or so corrections regarding remarks in this message: "25:00" -- Many don't even acknowledge or talk about "the Lake of Fire," &, when they do, they often misconstrue that "Hell" & "the Lake of Fire" are one & the same terrifying place, like in this case at hand. No, "Hell" is not "the Lake of Fire," nor is "the Lake of Fire" the subterranean place often called "Hell." Hell is present in this world now, being actually situated within this spinning planet we have known as "the Earth," whereas "the Lake of Fire" is a destructive inferno yet to be manifested. Whosoever dies unsaved now experiences his or her perpetual & conscious spirit descending into the obvious darkness that is darkness because locale is subterranean, & also into the thousansands of degrees Fahrenheit heat down in the center of the Earth. It is a place that volcanoes & fumaroles, & even geysers, testify about the existence of. The "Lake of Fire," however, as mentioned above, is yet to be manifested. In fact, in the same The Book of Revelation, in the same Chapter 20, we see "Death and Hell" (referring to all the lost inhabitants by mention of place) being brought up for judgment, & then, once judged, sentenced & thrown into "the Lake of Fire." This is what is Biblical. "28:00" -- There is no flesh bodies in Hell, just disembodied spirits. The "smoke" coming up, say, through openings of volcanoes & fumaroles is due to burning of molten rocks & other such natural geological components in the center of the Earth. It is a place of fire, & where there is fire, there's usually some smoke, especially if there is what is flammable in the vicinity of the flame(s). "34:00" -- We need to be exceedingly careful about consulting extra-Biblical sources on any Biblical matter. If the information outside of the Bible contradicts what is in the Bible, then the information needs to be discarded & the Bible retained. And there is just too much fantasy mentioned at this juncture in the message for me to address at this time. And I may never have time to. But this I will say. While it is quite likely that demonic spirits are able to descend to places in Hell without entering flames, or being unharmed by the flames or heat, & likely are able to come right back out to carry on their exceeding rebellious wickedness in the sight of the Most High God, I'll stick with whatever & the certain things the Bible says about this topic. Next thing I'll say is that the simple truths of Hell are terrifying enough without all the fantasy added. It is a fact that Hell is terrestrial, subterranean. It is a fact that Hell is tremendously hot, even as volcanoes & fumaroles show. It is a fact that Hell has conscious human spirits in torments & screaming & voicing regrets & remorse & confessing sins, but all too late. It is a fact that those who make it all the way down into Hell, having found no answer from the Almighty to lift them back up from their descent in response to outcries of Repentance will stay down there until the Great White Throne Judgement. It appears to also be true that, Hell being terrestrial, it is still geographical, though subterranean, & thus where a lost person's spirit descends into Hell may determine what language or languages he or she will here in Hell. The reality is far more terrifying! Thanks be unto Immanuel, Christ Jesus my Savior, my reservation is for going to be with Him where He is in righteousness. You know what's crazy? It is a certain thing that some of those who were in that 1989 service are already dead, &, having never made right with God Almighty, are there in Hell, experiencing the realities of it. All the best to the uploader, who I'm believing had the good attention of at least raising the issue for people to go study this themselves. And study the Scriptures on the subject a person must, especially since this message isn't fully Biblical.

Blessings, not just call up on the name of Jesus Christ. Be born again, live the life of true holiness unto the Lord Jesus, and abide in HIM. Glory to God!
John 3:16 . . . unless we receive the gift of eternal life, we will *_perish:_* ■ "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." So, how will the unsaved perish? ■ "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:23) After resurrection and judgment, the unsaved will die a second time. It's called the "second death" in the Bible, in Revelation 2:11, 20:6, 20:14 and 21:8. After the second death there is no life and there is no hope of resurrection. It's the end of you. You'll never "be" again. That's what it means to "perish." And that's how God mercifully deals with those who reject Him. Here’s some examples of perishing from the Old Testament: ■ "For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be" (Psalms 37:10). ■ "As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation" (Proverbs 10:25). ■ "The way of the LORD is strength to the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity" (Proverbs 10:29). So, what is hell? The word “hell” appears in Bible *_translations_* because hell-believing *_translators_* put it there, paving over the meanings of three different original Greek words (New Testament). Those words have nothing to do with a place of eternal, fiery torment. Here’s an example: ■ “And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire” (Mark 9:47) The Greek word γέεννα (geena or gehenna in English) was translated "hell" in that verse. So, what was γέεννα, really? It was the valley (just outside Jerusalem) which was used as a dump in Jesus’ time. Constant fire and maggots there were sure to destroy whatever was thrown in. But translators said nothing about that dump. Instead, they translated γέεννα as “hell.” Using “hell” in that verse was grossly misleading. Jesus was not talking about eternal torment in some sort of fiery hell. Jesus was saying the unsaved would perish. They would surely be destroyed, just as trash thrown into that dump was sure to be destroyed. They would (figuratively) be thrown into the dump. Translators (especially King James Version, 1611) made a real mess when they used the word “hell” in place of those three Greek words. They had inherited their hell concept, by tradition, through the Catholic church. By using “hell” they were twisting the meanings of the Greek words, making the Bible appear to support their doctrine of a place of perpetual, fiery torment. Some later translators have recognized this error. They've referenced the original Greek words in footnotes, or even used the original Greek words directly in the translated text . . . and not used “hell.” Young’s Literal Translation (YLT), for example, never uses “hell.” The damage caused by the translators continues to this day. Millions of reasonable people dismiss Christianity as nonsense when they are told the God of mercy will sadistically torment the unsaved forever and ever in some sort of fiery hell. People often struggle with the thought of perishing because they've been led to believe they have an immortal soul that leaves the body at death and lives - somewhere - forever. That's actually a pagan doctrine that has crept into institutional Christianity over the centuries. (It's a repackaged version of Satan's lie, "Ye shall not surely die" -Genesis 3:4.) Here's the pagan Greek philosopher Plato; see if this sounds like what most professing Christians have taught by their churches: _"Do we believe that there is such a thing as death? And is this anything but the separation of soul and body? And_ _being dead is the attainment of this separation; when the soul exists in herself, and is parted from the body and the_ _body is parted from the soul . . . beyond question the soul is immortal and imperishable, and our souls will truly_ _exist in another world!"_ (Plato, in _Phaedo,_ about 360 BC) The "soul" in the Bible is different: it only refers to your self, your person . . . not to some sort of immortal spirit component that floats out of your body when you die. Example: ■ "And we were in all in the ship two hundred threescore and sixteen souls." (Acts 27:37) The soul - the person - that chooses sin will die: ■ "The soul that sinneth, it shall die . . . " (Ezekiel 18:20) ➔ Salvation is not about "where you'll spend eternity." Wrong paradigm! *You won't even **_have_** an eternity unless* *you receive from God the gift of eternal life!* Otherwise, you'll perish in that "second death." There will be "weeping" and "gnashing of teeth" when the unsaved see others receiving the gift of eternal life and realize they, too, could have received eternal life. In Matthew 25:46 Jesus describes the fate of the unsaved: ■ "And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal." The punishment of the unsaved is "everlasting" in the sense that it is completed, final, permanent and irrevocable, like the execution of a criminal. The "everlasting punishment" is the second death, after which there is no life and no hope of resurrection. The punishment is not "everlasting" in the sense of being perpetual, conscious punishing.

The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? 29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.” 36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, “Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.” 37 He (The Lord Jesus Christ) answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; 38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; 39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. 40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. 41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; 42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. 43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Hell and the lake of fire is not the same place hell Luke 16:19-31 and Psalm 49:16-20 but the lake of fire does not have anybody in it right now but Revelation 20:11-15 and Revelation 20:10 and verse 14 tells us that the death and Hades(hell) will be cast into the lake of fire and Matthew 25:41 please 2 Timothy 2:15 study yourself when you get home to make sure what you heard is true and in the book of Acts 17:11 what you hear go search your scriptures examine them daily to make sure that’s what God said because pastors are human beings too
Hell definitely needs to be the topic of more sermons & teachings, especially in these days wherein more people have the false idea of that, when they die, death is the end of their consciousness & everything about their person, & others, knowing there is existence after death, think they're going to "Heaven" even though they've not obeyed Christ Jesus the Almighty's Biblical set of salvific mandates, i.e. to repent (rf. Matthew 4:17 & Luke 13:3 & 5), to submit to water baptism in His Name "Jesus" for the remission of sins (rf. John 3:3 & 5-7 & Mark 16:16), to seek the infilling of His Spirit with the initial evidentiary sign of speaking in an unlearnt foreign language or languages "as the Spirit gives the utterance" (rf. John 3:3 & 5-7 & 7:37-38 with Mark 16:17-18), & to abide in Him & His sanctification process (rf. John 15).
Let me hurry, though, to offer a couple or so corrections regarding remarks in this message:
"25:00" -- Many don't even acknowledge or talk about "the Lake of Fire," &, when they do, they often misconstrue that "Hell" & "the Lake of Fire" are one & the same terrifying place, like in this case at hand. No, "Hell" is not "the Lake of Fire," nor is "the Lake of Fire" the subterranean place often called "Hell."
Hell is present in this world now, being actually situated within this spinning planet we have known as "the Earth," whereas "the Lake of Fire" is a destructive inferno yet to be manifested.
Whosoever dies unsaved now experiences his or her perpetual & conscious spirit descending into the obvious darkness that is darkness because locale is subterranean, & also into the thousansands of degrees Fahrenheit heat down in the center of the Earth. It is a place that volcanoes & fumaroles, & even geysers, testify about the existence of.
The "Lake of Fire," however, as mentioned above, is yet to be manifested. In fact, in the same The Book of Revelation, in the same Chapter 20, we see "Death and Hell" (referring to all the lost inhabitants by mention of place) being brought up for judgment, & then, once judged, sentenced & thrown into "the Lake of Fire." This is what is Biblical.
"28:00" -- There is no flesh bodies in Hell, just disembodied spirits. The "smoke" coming up, say, through openings of volcanoes & fumaroles is due to burning of molten rocks & other such natural geological components in the center of the Earth. It is a place of fire, & where there is fire, there's usually some smoke, especially if there is what is flammable in the vicinity of the flame(s).
"34:00" -- We need to be exceedingly careful about consulting extra-Biblical sources on any Biblical matter. If the information outside of the Bible contradicts what is in the Bible, then the information needs to be discarded & the Bible retained.
And there is just too much fantasy mentioned at this juncture in the message for me to address at this time. And I may never have time to.
But this I will say. While it is quite likely that demonic spirits are able to descend to places in Hell without entering flames, or being unharmed by the flames or heat, & likely are able to come right back out to carry on their exceeding rebellious wickedness in the sight of the Most High God, I'll stick with whatever & the certain things the Bible says about this topic.
Next thing I'll say is that the simple truths of Hell are terrifying enough without all the fantasy added. It is a fact that Hell is terrestrial, subterranean. It is a fact that Hell is tremendously hot, even as volcanoes & fumaroles show.
It is a fact that Hell has conscious human spirits in torments & screaming & voicing regrets & remorse & confessing sins, but all too late.
It is a fact that those who make it all the way down into Hell, having found no answer from the Almighty to lift them back up from their descent in response to outcries of Repentance will stay down there until the Great White Throne Judgement.
It appears to also be true that, Hell being terrestrial, it is still geographical, though subterranean, & thus where a lost person's spirit descends into Hell may determine what language or languages he or she will here in Hell.
The reality is far more terrifying! Thanks be unto Immanuel, Christ Jesus my Savior, my reservation is for going to be with Him where He is in righteousness.
You know what's crazy? It is a certain thing that some of those who were in that 1989 service are already dead, &, having never made right with God Almighty, are there in Hell, experiencing the realities of it.
All the best to the uploader, who I'm believing had the good attention of at least raising the issue for people to go study this themselves. And study the Scriptures on the subject a person must, especially since this message isn't fully Biblical.

John 3:16 . . . unless we receive the gift of eternal life, we will *_perish:_*
■ "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
So, how will the unsaved perish?
■ "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:23)
After resurrection and judgment, the unsaved will die a second time. It's called the "second death" in the Bible, in Revelation 2:11, 20:6, 20:14 and 21:8. After the second death there is no life and there is no hope of resurrection. It's the end of you. You'll never "be" again. That's what it means to "perish."
And that's how God mercifully deals with those who reject Him.
Here’s some examples of perishing from the Old Testament:
■ "For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be" (Psalms 37:10).
■ "As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation" (Proverbs 10:25).
■ "The way of the LORD is strength to the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity" (Proverbs 10:29).
So, what is hell?
The word “hell” appears in Bible *_translations_* because hell-believing *_translators_* put it there, paving over the meanings of three different original Greek words (New Testament). Those words have nothing to do with a place of eternal, fiery torment. Here’s an example:
■ “And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire” (Mark 9:47)
The Greek word γέεννα (geena or gehenna in English) was translated "hell" in that verse.
So, what was γέεννα, really? It was the valley (just outside Jerusalem) which was used as a dump in Jesus’ time. Constant fire and maggots there were sure to destroy whatever was thrown in. But translators said nothing about that dump. Instead, they translated γέεννα as “hell.”
Using “hell” in that verse was grossly misleading. Jesus was not talking about eternal torment in some sort of fiery hell. Jesus was saying the unsaved would perish. They would surely be destroyed, just as trash thrown into that dump was sure to be destroyed. They would (figuratively) be thrown into the dump.
Translators (especially King James Version, 1611) made a real mess when they used the word “hell” in place of those three Greek words. They had inherited their hell concept, by tradition, through the Catholic church. By using “hell” they were twisting the meanings of the Greek words, making the Bible appear to support their doctrine of a place of perpetual, fiery torment.
Some later translators have recognized this error. They've referenced the original Greek words in footnotes, or even used the original Greek words directly in the translated text . . . and not used “hell.” Young’s Literal Translation (YLT), for example, never uses “hell.”
The damage caused by the translators continues to this day. Millions of reasonable people dismiss Christianity as nonsense when they are told the God of mercy will sadistically torment the unsaved forever and ever in some sort of fiery hell.
People often struggle with the thought of perishing because they've been led to believe they have an immortal soul that leaves the body at death and lives - somewhere - forever. That's actually a pagan doctrine that has crept into institutional Christianity over the centuries. (It's a repackaged version of Satan's lie, "Ye shall not surely die" -Genesis 3:4.)
Here's the pagan Greek philosopher Plato; see if this sounds like what most professing Christians have taught by their churches:
_"Do we believe that there is such a thing as death? And is this anything but the separation of soul and body? And_ _being dead is the attainment of this separation; when the soul exists in herself, and is parted from the body and the_ _body is parted from the soul . . . beyond question the soul is immortal and imperishable, and our souls will truly_ _exist in another world!"_ (Plato, in _Phaedo,_ about 360 BC)
The "soul" in the Bible is different: it only refers to your self, your person . . . not to some sort of immortal spirit component that floats out of your body when you die. Example:
■ "And we were in all in the ship two hundred threescore and sixteen souls." (Acts 27:37)
The soul - the person - that chooses sin will die:
■ "The soul that sinneth, it shall die . . . " (Ezekiel 18:20)
➔ Salvation is not about "where you'll spend eternity." Wrong paradigm! *You won't even **_have_** an eternity unless* *you receive from God the gift of eternal life!* Otherwise, you'll perish in that "second death." There will be "weeping" and "gnashing of teeth" when the unsaved see others receiving the gift of eternal life and realize they, too, could have received eternal life.
In Matthew 25:46 Jesus describes the fate of the unsaved:
■ "And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal."
The punishment of the unsaved is "everlasting" in the sense that it is completed, final, permanent and irrevocable, like the execution of a criminal. The "everlasting punishment" is the second death, after which there is no life and no hope of resurrection. The punishment is not "everlasting" in the sense of being perpetual, conscious punishing.

30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.”
