I promise once you do get an actual Cam in that C6…you will love it. Nothing crazy, but a mild BTR cam will make you fall in love. Also…here’s the thing. While Corsa’s are good. Once you do long tubes and a Cam, switch it out for a full Billy Boat Fusion Exhaust. You retain the same stock function but they sound sooooo much better, and very quiet in quiet mode. Talking from experience btw.
the thing about the c5,c6, and c7 is that theyre super raw while also having great performance. the c7 is honestly less raw and more polished which im not a fan of. you can tell while driving it that its light but it weighs a few hundred more lbs than the c5 and c6 platform.
Its so crazy how since i got a c6 corvette, mustangs are pretty much dead to me.. its crazy i never thought that would happen but i love corvettes the whole experience of them is 🔥
You gotta plug the 02 sensors with the anti-fouler trick to get the check engine light off. Look it up and see if it works on the C6’s I’m 99% sure it does.

If you can get a Z06 or even a Grandsport then 110% get that over the S197, like wouldn't think twice about it (I've owned a 2010 GT500, and a 2008 Heads/Cam C6Z06 reviewed by thatdudeinblue haha)! A $30k C6 GS or Z06 is far more car than a super minty fully optioned out 13-14 5.0. Do everything in your power to make that happen! If you DO find a C6Z06, however, just make sure the heads have been addressed and fixed. Happy hunting bro!
I can almost guarantee that you are going to put the stock NPP mufflers back on once you do the long tubes because I have supercharged C6 GrandSport with the same NPP mufflers and long tubes with a cam and it is extremely loud. It is also super nice to be able to close the valves in the neighborhood or in a drive-thru.
I’m gonna guess that you might take it to CSP, they got some solid builds that they’ve done up there. Also really enjoying the corvette content. Been watch for a couple years now, and as a Chevy guy, it’s so cool to see you appreciate the corvette platform. Theres a reason why corvettes are top dogs. Can’t wait until you deep dive into the anatomy and the aftermarket of the LS
My C6 came with Corsa Sports and they were so quiet and heavy. Once I got the Xtremes installed it was perfect. I'm also worried once I go longtubes lol
ZR1 exhaust is the best of both worlds. I have them on my Z06 without cats and they would great with the cam. Put it in quiet mode and it’s as quiet as a Lexus. They are hard to find so don’t lose them.

Change all the lights except for the headlights. The factory paint matched headlights look great. Just throw LED switchback turn signal bulbs into the headlights. And quality LED headlight bulbs
Can always put active "unit" back on and not need to change mufflers. Just modify in putting a valve back in and then you have stealth mode until you get out of the neighborhood.
For the headlights you could always do a paint match on the c8 style, to keep the look with an updated lens. My factory headlights have definitely grown on me and I can see why you're hesitant😅
Corsa needs to make an active version already come on corsa,, i cant give up the active and the NPP sounds good enough for me it sounds great and i dont even have headers yet..

Hey buddy I’m c6 zr1 owner myself just wanted to know be careful on tinting the windshield because it can actually lift the dash up and destroy it with the heat on they use cause it messes up the dash so be very careful. You might wanna make them cover it with blankets and everything like that nice car by the way.

@DerekBaranProductions yes but beware of the leather dash. They have a tendency to become unglued. Chevy barely put any glue down underneath it. It's a bit of a problem with the 3lz z06 and zr1

OEMs all day!!! I took off the c7 style on my Carlisle blue GS and put the oem color matched on. Soooo much better

It its like my 04 z06 was you can lower it by adjusting lowering bolts on the cross leaf spring. It lowered mine about 1-1.5”
