Can you imagine your city being attacked by a titanic mythological being, then your allies come to help you but hear their leader say "I hope he destroys the entire city cause I need to build there.."? 🤣
The Clay monster is origininally Ensemble Studios’ own depiction of Prometheus. Ironically, his own god portrait when you age-up is showing he is human form.
Yeah this level always felt ridiculously easy compared to the level of drama established in the cutscene. The titans are escaping, Kastor finds out he was tricked, Krios reveals himself as an agent of Kronos... Immediately build 3 rocs and wait for the scenario to end.
@@filipvadas7602 You really think anything about the Titans was play tested? It's not hated like Tale of the Dragon because someone clearly put effort in at some point, but it's a pretty bad DLC.
I'm honestly surprised that the game developers made killing Prometheus a victory condition, JUST in case someone was enough of a madlad to do it. And you, sir, are that madlad.
Actually that was me who created the custom win condition 😅 I do a bunch of these “campaign twists” on my channel where I customize the campaign missions with a fun challenge or twist to spice things up. Anyway I appreciate the comment 🙂
Fun fact, this is basically how the Centaurs killed a man who was blessed by Poseidon to have invulnerable skin - They just crushed him to death under thousands of pine logs.
Beautiful, I did the a similar thing to the Poseidon statue a while back, surrounded him with Colossi to absorb damage while being pelted by towers. Killed him without even starting the wonder.
I didn't know you could have enough firepower to overcome the regeneration lol nice one! I winder if Prometheus would stand still if you attack him with a ranged unit, like, behind the relic just outside of his melee range? I suppose not because you'd have done that then xD
I think the general consensus among the community is that Prometheus was essentially impossible to beat without cheats or a super high population cap. Took me a while to figure this strategy out :) and yeah he just runs away if he’s being attacked by a ranged unit and can’t get to it
Great idea to trap the enemy titan with the relic... Then enjoy scouting the whole map and researching every tech before making 3 flying transports and taking them over...
Who'd have thought the devs would code a win condition into that scenario to kill the titan, even though that's clearly not what you're supposed to do. I didn't know it was possible. That's cool!
Actually I created the custom win condition 😅 we do a bunch of these “campaign twists” on the channel where I take the official scenarios into the editor and create a fun challenge or twist to it. Either way I appreciate the comment!
I did do something similar with Kronos. I broke the initial part were he was getting out of the hole and he got stuck, so I just got as many archers as I could. Interestingly, units that were to close to the hole would just die
damn it. I tried using codes. Not even 3 titans and some laser bears were capable of take 1000 hp out of it. I tht it was impossible, now i see i just didnt try hard enough
When I said “I made my own” I meant I just took the official scenario and changed the win condition. I made it so you had to kill the Titan instead of bringing 3 rocs to kastor to win the game.

Sounds like Nero during the Great Fire of Rome in 64AD tbh.
I was reading this while the scene just played on the background the timming couldnt be better XD
That is how age games work...
I always found a weird how he went from benevolent to humans and gifting them fire, and then turns into a giant clay monster that smashes cities.
Well you try being stable after having a bird peck out your liver every day...
Probably pissed that he went out of his way to give humans knowledge and warmth only for them to worship the people who tortured him for all eternity.

Just as Prometheus brought fire to man, you have brought fire to my RUclips algorithm
Amen! Saws challenges are always a fun watch lol
😂

Lol ,yeah.
It adds to my belief that this was one of the levels of the DLC that was *barely* playtested for one reason or another.
@@filipvadas7602 You really think anything about the Titans was play tested? It's not hated like Tale of the Dragon because someone clearly put effort in at some point, but it's a pretty bad DLC.
It’s fair that a video like this took 21 years to come out

@@_saw_aom lmao so if you hadn't added that trigger in, you would've beat Prometheus and the game would've been like '...b-but the Rocs tho'
lol exactly. which is only a little anti climactic for the video right? :D
Fun fact, this is basically how the Centaurs killed a man who was blessed by Poseidon to have invulnerable skin - They just crushed him to death under thousands of pine logs.
"Invincible" is just a word.
Retold should add an achievement for killing promethus
Retold’s Achievements are very sub-par right now
I haven't seen such shenanigans since that Warcraft 3 incident where someone killed Archimonde with like 200 landmines
Beautiful, I did the a similar thing to the Poseidon statue a while back, surrounded him with Colossi to absorb damage while being pelted by towers. Killed him without even starting the wonder.
Nice!! Colossi are tanks 💪

I always liked how he could do a Kamehameha that shot out smaller versions of himself.
Nicely done! Relic OP lol! 😂 Also... killing that poor Monkey with your Son of Osiris was personal 💀
That monkey path blocked me during one of the attempts so you’re right, it was 😄
LMAO! 😂
now we need a kill prometheus speedrun%

I did the same thing when i was 11! with 107 "O CANADA" ezpz

Nice! A lot of people enjoy trapping him in with the Gaia trees. That path leading into the hole is very deadly though 💀
Great vid!
this has the same vibe as killing archimonde in Frozen Throne
You can't kill Archimonde in the Frozen Throne. You can kill him in Reign of Chaos.
Hey, welcome back!
never thought its possible
Same!
Haha storywise, what happens next? xD
Saw that live was amazing
sun of a gun did it!! yippeee!
He was Stoned to Death 😃
Wow i cannot believe my eyes u did it🎉🎉🎉😢
Upload scenario to discotd?
Yep it’s there for everyone :D
It's really a nice game i tried to kill like 6 times but i get bored of that😂🙂
damn it. I tried using codes. Not even 3 titans and some laser bears were capable of take 1000 hp out of it.
I tht it was impossible, now i see i just didnt try hard enough
now against chronos
mad man already did it ! check his videos :)
Wasnt it possible just with priests too ?
Surprisingly they didn’t do any damage :(
Ive beat Osiris migga with gastraphetes
me.. use nordic x fire power that increase damage (i forget the name), 100x
Flaming weapons!! ⚔️🔥 a bunch of those really does the trick
nice micro skills
Thanks! Good enough at least 🙂
Can it be done on the main campaign without cheats?
The fall of the trident campaign?
@@_saw_aom yup. I didnt undertand if you did this on the campaing or not. Sorry. Xd
Ohhhh yes this the official campaign! It’s the New Atlantis campaign and of course possible without cheats as you see here :D
When I said “I made my own” I meant I just took the official scenario and changed the win condition. I made it so you had to kill the Titan instead of bringing 3 rocs to kastor to win the game.
@@_saw_aom ohh, thanks for the explanation!! 😁
Hey don't say that bad word
We did it!! 🤩🤩 I missed the stream though 🥲
You were missed! Glad we could figure it out 😄
