@@eddiemate I should have been more specific, because of the "don't obtain obsidian goal", Illumina was wasting time trying to craft a ender chest because he was required to collect obsidian to craft it. So what he was doing at that time was giving SmallAnt a point in order give himself a point.

That was some god-tier unlucky RNG only smallant's part. Smallant had bad luck on: finding villages, finding diamonds, finding glow berries, AND finding Leather in shipwrecks. Illumina got lucky with: A random zombie villager, the rarest structure in minecraft, the right bastion to have lodestone, 8 obsidian in a chest, AND after all that he had better luck at finding an end city. Illumina had so much more luck, jesus. All those diamonds, quick end city, just… FINDING a zombie villager, not getting a single obsidian from the piglin, etc. The stars A L I G N E D
YOO Smallant is an impressive speedrunner. He was neck and neck with Illumina a Minecraft veteran who is the kind of Minecraft speedruns while Smallant just speedruns in general. If he had good RNG he would've won.
I really enjoy the way you narrate and explain these challenges. Most of these videos are usually a potpouri of edited clips that - even though you can still understand what's going on - don't add anything, they just end up being dopamine fuel for the human short attention span. But watching the edited version with the well-told story, that's worth it.
You deserved that win so bad dude, frankly it was sad to watch it end like that. Your luck was about as bad as it can get and his was literally godlike, yet you still nearly won. Kudos to you man
Well, considering illumina got constant help from chat it's amazing how close it was. Makes me wonder if ant would've won if illumina had chat on emote only.
I literally just noticed this too idk if it was because smant had lockout experience or something but yeah still a great video edit: also he got 3 goals, breed hoglin, light smant on fire, and kill silverfish
Smant was the underdog the whole time and still managed to put up a fight against one of the best speed runners in Minecraft but he got unlucky on many occasions which leads to his defeat but if illumina never found that mansion smant probably had it
Holy cow. That hopper into an ender chest split second build was genius! You outplayed him at every turn and deserve the win just for that. You won in my heart.
The RNG smiles favorably in illuminas direction, you need to kill a z.villager? Let me spawn one next to you. Chainmail? Yea we got a blacksmith who will do that. Infested silverfish stone? Ezpz. I am surprised he wasn't dual wielding buckets of axolotls by the time he skipped to the yellow bricked endcity
illumina was literally just massively lucky the entire time, that sucks balllllsss, i mean he literally defied the extrememly low percentages on EVERY DAMN THING
List of illumina's luck: Found a crimson forest immediately Found a bastion and nether fortress next to each other almost instantly. Found a woodland mansion with infested cobblestone. Found an end city in half the time smallant was searching for it. Well played good sir, well played.
Not to mention all the diamonds he found practically right next to each other, having a lodestone spawned in the bastion, and having a random zombie villager spawn after spending awhile trying to make one and failing because of the golems
I find it so cool when someone gets incredible luck which forces their opponents to think differently on how to tackle certain things. Like the enderchest clutch
This is like Rocky I all over again - i don’t care what the scorecard says, smallant played better and had to cope with MUCH worse RNG 👍 the people’s champion!

This was so intense to watch live and the video is edited SO WELL so I'm glad to be watching it a second time. Incredible!
Illumina had so much more luck, jesus. All those diamonds, quick end city, just… FINDING a zombie villager, not getting a single obsidian from the piglin, etc. The stars A L I G N E D
Absolutely love the highs and lows and the way the bingo table was set this time around. Very tense and lots of creativity!
that was such an amazing match-up! I cant wait to see the rematch!
The Collab we didn't know we wanted, but definitely needed.
Pleasant surprise is an understatement
video deserves at least a few million more views than it has currently, great video and keep up the good work.
YOO Smallant is an impressive speedrunner. He was neck and neck with Illumina a Minecraft veteran who is the kind of Minecraft speedruns while
Smallant just speedruns in general. If he had good RNG he would've won.
SmallAnt is the only person capable of doing the most intelligent strategy you have ever seen in your life and then forgot to Craft a wooden picaxe
This is like manhunts levels of intensity luck twists and plot , but it's 100% real time. This must have been wild live. Also smant's smart af .
This was a rollercoaster, the swings in momentum were insane. The ending was tragic too
Shakespearian tragedy in three parts
Illumina has shown one of the greatest speedruning powers known to man up there with glitches, *RNG* .
I honestly have never seen Smant be this challenged by an opponent. Absolutely excellent lockout, extremely tense!
Holy cow. I‘ve seen close matches. But this… This is something else. Great stream, great video, nearly great success!
Illumina really is one of the best players out there, this was super intense with skilful plays on both ends
If every video turns out as amazing as this one, you can take as long as you want to make them. Absolutely incredible video.
@Garvanii 💞 yes
You deserved that win so bad dude, frankly it was sad to watch it end like that. Your luck was about as bad as it can get and his was literally godlike, yet you still nearly won. Kudos to you man
i'll say this much, illumina should've had his chat in emote only. absolutely amazing content regardless
Smallant is actually so smart tho with the enderchest play
That comeback as insane! Imagine how he felt when he lost because of bad end city luck
Well, considering illumina got constant help from chat it's amazing how close it was. Makes me wonder if ant would've won if illumina had chat on emote only.
Probably not.
Ant also had a lot of people watching illumiina for him
THAT WAS SO DEVASTATING. I got the chills and I do not play nor know how minecraft works LOL. Sickkk videoooo!
Smallant would've easily won if he didn't get shafted with RNG at every turn. What a battle.
holy shit this was INSANE, that obsidian moove was so impressive
I dont think its very fair that illumina got to play with chat while smant had emote only. He got two goals just from chat giving hints.
I literally just noticed this too idk if it was because smant had lockout experience or something but yeah still a great video
edit: also he got 3 goals, breed hoglin, light smant on fire, and kill silverfish
i like this commentary it makes it so much simpler to understand what the heck you are doing for minecraft noobs
Smant was the underdog the whole time and still managed to put up a fight against one of the best speed runners in Minecraft but he got unlucky on many occasions which leads to his defeat but if illumina never found that mansion smant probably had it
holy crap this race was so fast paced homies were beating goals and making moves INSTANTLY
😑
Hey Adrian
Holy cow. That hopper into an ender chest split second build was genius! You outplayed him at every turn and deserve the win just for that. You won in my heart.
Calling it now, this isn’t gonna end well for our boi Ant
it's way more painful than could have been imagined
@@ValentineC137 wow i see that lmao, poor ant
The RNG smiles favorably in illuminas direction, you need to kill a z.villager? Let me spawn one next to you. Chainmail? Yea we got a blacksmith who will do that. Infested silverfish stone? Ezpz. I am surprised he wasn't dual wielding buckets of axolotls by the time he skipped to the yellow bricked endcity
That obsidian gambit is a great example of why Ant so often holds his own against all odds in these races. Truly, truly big brain plays.
IlluminaHD as my childhood fav i didnt think he would change paths and do something degenerate. Im sorry i no longer respect you illumina
Do a lockout but with tasks people wouldn't want to do.
Kill a cat who you tamed/named.
Drown a baby Villager.
Throw a netherite pickaxe into lava
ETC
As incredible as Illumina is, he just got really lucky in this...
illumina was literally just massively lucky the entire time, that sucks balllllsss, i mean he literally defied the extrememly low percentages on EVERY DAMN THING
And that is why I hate luck in video games, you can be the smartest and the most skilled person ever, but all is decided by luck.
List of illumina's luck:
Found a crimson forest immediately
Found a bastion and nether fortress next to each other almost instantly.
WOW if they had the same level of luck Smallant would've won, what a feat that would be.
I find it so cool when someone gets incredible luck which forces their opponents to think differently on how to tackle certain things. Like the enderchest clutch
Insane the amount of Luck illumina got in this run. Villages, Diamonds, The Mansion, The End City. RNJesus turned his back on Smallant
This is like Rocky I all over again - i don’t care what the scorecard says, smallant played better and had to cope with MUCH worse RNG 👍 the people’s champion!
Nice use of Celeste music
the ender chest clutch was genuinely more impressive than dream's boat clutch
Dude, you did excellent. With everything (Not just experience) against you, you lost by ONE POINT. This is an inspiration.
The absolute massive brain on baiting him to grab the obsidian to keep in the race was respectable in and of itself. I still consider this a win for both of you.
10:28 um…..
never forget
Might wanna take this down chief
