  • FostrSpace is a novel mobile web app designed by and for California foster youth to take the stigma out of accessing mental health care and resources for young people who have been in foster care. With access to tailored digital resources, a personal care navigator, licensed telehealth clinicians and a peer-led FostrSpace Advisory Board (FAB), we propose to rapidly expand access to FostrSpace and grow the peer FAB to build resilience
and behavioral health advocacy among foster youth statewide.
FostrSpace was a finalist in the national Children and Youth Resilience Challenge. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) launched the Resilience Challenge as part of President Biden’s Unity Agenda and Mental Health Strategy and an initiative of the HHS Behavioral Health Coordinating Council Subcommittee on Children and Youth. All Resilience Challenge finalists participated in an Innovation Showcase on May 2, 2024. Watch the event recording: • Children and Youth Res... . Learn more: www.challenge.gov/?challenge=....
