The ease with which Charlie lies, particularly when he's not doing great, is concerning! idk if you caught it, but in the previous episode Charlie also lied to Nick, and then to his dad, about dinner, the night things went south with David. (Telling Nick he planned to eat at home, and then telling his dad he'd already eaten with Nick.) And now in Paris we're seeing him lie and deflect more about how he's doing... I think the coursework issues on top of the disordered eating was a sign that he's not holding things together as well as he wants people to think. On Ben... Imogen was maybe a little impulsive at the restaurant (as she tends to be), but he was pretty cruel towards her, also in front of other people. And with Charlie, I think Ben was given so many chances to do better and was really let off the hook. He treated Charlie horribly for months, then sexually assaulted him, and continued to harass and belittle him (and then his boyfriend). And he got away with it because Charlie didn't want to out him, and chose never to tell anyone or report him. So I get that he's a teenager who's going through things and empathize with that, but I also think he's been let off pretty easily, considering how deeply he harmed Charlie.
I like the queer book reprensentaion, Alice did this because her books are banned in Iowa in a school libary, thats sad and a step bachwards and Nick lost the challenge, Charlie said i bet 😊
30:17 The challenge wasn’t that Charlie couldn’t kiss nick for 2 days either, it was only that Nick couldn’t kiss Charlie for 2 days. Charlie kissed him, Nick didn’t stop him and happily gave in to reciprocate the kisses, thus losing the challenge.
