The fact that they had a track like this 20 years ago which sounds very current era with the lofi sound and beats is absolutely insane.
This could almost fit into one of those many lofi playlists you see on RUclips.
These types of lo-fi/bit-crushed drums were definitely used 20 years ago. In fact, all of modern "lo-fi" music is all based on nostalgic sounds. LP made it sound great though.
It certainly is a little harder hitting than your typical "relaxing" lo-fi beat
@@MasonzeroDigitalWorks This particular drum sample was a staple of late 90s trip hop. They used it in "Cure for the Itch" as well. Compare that track against "Clubbed to Death" by Rob Dougan and you'll hear the same sample and a very similar sound.
Image this is a full song in this era they would have a blast on charts. RIP LEGEND
To go even further, I've recently had a discussion with someone about early Linkin Park/Xero and we're totally convinced that Hybrid Theory basically paved the way for what would later become Dubstep. Sounds crazy, but just listen to songs like By Myself with that in mind
RIP to all the Linkin Park fans who never got to hear these songs.
I mean you can say the same thing about any artist who’s passed away like Juice cuz he has lots of unreleased music as well. I personally don’t like to go out and listen to unreleased stuff.

Its almost like you can hear lyrics in this even though there is none. The keyboard laying down a question, the guitar is like its answering that question and the synth is the setting in which they find themselves in. Such a good tune I love it.

Exactly. It feels like I can "see" the parts where Mike would rap and Chester would sing. It's weird, but I guess it goes to show how well the instruments and vocals gel in LP songs.

I wish they could release the Hybrid Theory unreleased songs.
I remember Mike talking on a livestream about their fans having mixed feelings about them releasing new stuff, since it's not like their first releases, like what Linkin Park sounded in Hybrid Theory or Meteora. He said that you can always go back to those albums if you loved them so much, but as time goes on you have to adapt to the times you live in. And we have to appreciate when artists stick to their guns and their beliefs, remaining true to themselves, it is a risk after all. He mentioned that they're trying to anticipate the trends, working on future albums. And you can clearly see it in a lot of their releases, they were ahead of their time. 60 albums released, and now 20 years later coming out with unreleased songs. They worked their asses off while they had the chance, truly inspirational.

lost, fighting myself, healing foot, breaking foot, and now this? This is how many stuff we have been missing out. How about minutes to midnight, a thousand suns, living things, etc. There is still a lot more albums which we don't know if there are archives (most probably yes) from those albums. We are still in for a ride for the minutes to midnight 20th anniversary and that's a fact.

I mean Mike Shinoda put out some instrumentals called Dropped Frames during Covid quarantine when he was live-streaming. But they aren’t necessarily Linkin Park style.

This sounds so epic to me, I love the guitar and at the same time it sounds so smooth and soothing. Like meditation music, LP can't do a song that I don't like.
This song at times it felt like some tunes from the lo-fi girls and at times it felt like something straight out of 2000’s. So unique!

What a great instrumental track
It seems like today, the Metal scene has more respect for Hip-Hop than modern "Rappers".
Because the "modern rap" scene consists of a lot of bullshit masquerading as art.
