Great content, congrats!!! I really like complete vod's aproach. Just as a recommendation maybe bigger text editor to read better, but again, great content i hope you keep going for a long time
I don't think it's obsolete. Vuikan exists sure, but AFAIK it's a much lower level API. It gives more control, which allows game engines to take better advantage of the hardware, but we don't need that here. I haven't ever taken the plunge into Vulkan, so I might be overestimating it's complexity, but if I just want to draw some stuff with the GPU, opengl is a simple and easy fit. Now stack that onto GUI toolkits, several GUI toolkits I've looked at have a simple way to just shove in an OpenGL shader as a widget. I don't know if I can say the same about vulkan (but again I haven't really looked).
The maze helps me watch immensely. My brain has a toddler inside that needs to be entertained at all times to allow the grownup brain to work. The maze is to entertain the toddler brain so adult brain can watch code. You seem to only have toddler brain /s

Why use an ultra-modern programming language with obsolete API (OpenGL)?

Can't watch because of the maze thing, find it very annoying

That's ok, I didn't make this for you
