I love parlor guitars I hope they show up in stores someday. I would like to play one before I commit that much money to a laminated guitar. Right now there is a two month waiting list and you have to pay a $125 over list price to get on it. I don't see how it's any better than a Canadan made Art and Lutherie Roadhouse parlor guitar. Its made of the same wood and this one is twice the price.
Just curious .... (although I have seen Ed Sheeran play both brand guitars and both are excellent choices ), just wondered if Ed Sheeran & Martin Guitar Co. had a fallen out and is why ED went with Lowden Guitars ?
Because when he was young he was a huge fan of Damien rice who used lowden guitars. So he grew up wanting Lowden guitars but they were to expensive for him. So after his collaboration with Martin ended he did one with his dream brand.
Can someone clarify. Is there a "line of Sheeran Guitars" by Lowden ( different body sizes ) or is it just the one you see him playing? Another video with George Lowden at 2019 NAMM showed other body style guitars. Prices mentioned were $1,000 - $ 1,300.
There is a line, "Sheeran Guitars by Lowden", of two body shapes as of now, the "Wee" that Ed is playing and the "S" that's a bit larger, a small but full sized guitar. Both models are played by Ed live. Both come in 2 top woods, cedar and sitka, and 2 back woods, Walnut and Santos rosewood. 2, 3, and 4 models of each size come with LR Baggs VTC pickup and 3, 4 come with bevels on both models and Cutaways on the "S" models.
Turd Burglar though I do agree that this new guitar will sound great, his old one with Martin was definitely not trash haha. It was just a Martin LX1E with his logo on it. The LX1Es have a great tone, especially for the size of the body and the price. I personally have one and I’ve done a 500+ person show with one and it sounded pretty rich for what it is. I don’t use my other acoustics that much after getting it actually. I do have high hopes for this Lowden though !!!
Gabriel N I haven't played that little Martin that much, I played with them in the stores. I didn't like the laminate necks, of this is the one I'm thinking of. I compared it to my Washburn parlor. It was on the same price range and the Washburn is sold rosewood. If they dropped the price it would be in a different category and would be better. I even liked the Canada guitars better and they are $200 or so cheaper. I just finished a 1998 Art and Lutherie AMI that is just wonderful I wouldn't trade it for two Mexican Martins. I just bought a mid 90 Martin D-18 that was stepped on. I have to repair a small side crack and put a new back on it. I probably won't have $500 in it. So those import Martins don't impress my. It's just a name. I think the old DM laminate Martins were even better. Other people must think the same because they are going back to a solid neck and change there entry level line up. I didn't like them as mush as my $200 Yamaha. I just think for a Martin they didn't make the grade.
I just wanna play them all... NOW

Why didn’t they put the album logo on. I think there’s a new album coming soon
Doubt it. Ed's still touring with Divide. Im glad they didnt put a logo on as i think that would look super ugly

How much do you guys think it’ll cost
I heard maybe around 600€
I'm not going to do the math to convert but the one he is playing is $1065. They go from $860 to just under $1200.
I wonder how this will compare with his Martin model
Gabriel N the Martin he endorsed on my opinion was a bad guitar not worth using for fire wood. This one better be better because it's twice the price.

Turd Burglar I can’t argue with that. Cheers !
Same price as Martin divide?
pablo9364 no double. These start at $850 US
What model is he playing?
Alex Gaby w04 I think
@@bencoventry5595 seems like w01 to me tbh
True but w01 doesn’t have electronics meaning you cant plug it in
@@bencoventry5595 shit. it doesn't? I wanted to buy that one, but if it doesn't have electronics I'm gonna go with the lx1e
Any other models do it’s just the w01 and s01 that don’t have electronics
lefties?
Lorneplumber there’s no pick guard just string it backwards just think
£599, dude... this is going to be so expensive in my country
