In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion.

Indeed. She does seem like a genuinely kind and fun person. Even experiencing that via a screen is a positive experience that can be experienced at any time, anywhere in the world.

Sarah may not know it but she helped make a difference in my world, when I was wallowing in depression watching her vids on RUclips was the only thing that could make me smile.
I’m certain she would be incredibly happy to know she made a positive difference to even just one person in such a difficult time.

lol my back went out and I’m in so much freaking pain. This show is keeping me upbeat and laughing away the aches. Also, I freaking love Sarah Millican. She’s such a down to earth delight.

Every year I pick a contestant to root for, and Sarah is it. She reminds me a bit of Liza Tarbuck, who is my favourite contestant of all time.

I’m always weirdly disappointed that they don’t actually get points for the interview tasks. But this is the first time any contestant has actually asked about it, I think!
I’ve been thinking they might use the interview task for a full-series tie break, if it ever comes to that.
I mean, there's loads of tasks that don't appear on the show, sadly

Of course getting to see what the others did, but finding out which ones are worth the points too!

@@tshou520 yeah, I was trying to find different ways of saying the same thing over and over. They are all available already, you just need to click a few buttons and jump through a few hoops to get access...
I'm in the US. I only know how to watch this on youtube. Until they post it (or I get a VPN) I don't know where else to see it?
@@megiab A few browsers do free VPNs these days, so you don't even have to pay for one. I believe there are also unofficial uploads on Vimeo or whatnot that you can find the links to on Reddit or somesuch. I'd recommend the former option though.
@@megiab I pay something like $3 per month for a VPN - lets me watch BBC iPlayer, All 4, ITV etc from here in Peru.
the pair of you are amazing, this is probably my favourite task master clip so far
They actually did change the Silhouette of the leftmost Rorschach image in the background to reflect some of the contestants!
When Munya pointed out that the silhouette looked like him, I checked the Fern interview and thought it was a coincidence as it was the same picture.
Now the question is if Munya came after Fern and gave them the idea or if they forgot to change the picture for Fern or didn't have time.
They did it for all of them, ferns was not the same as munya's

@sarahmillican you help people every day. I know plenty of people, including me, who- when having a bad day or feeling down for whatever reason- watches your stand up and immediately feels a relief and are being cheered up. That, dear, is invaluable:)

Right there with you Mark, just fart jokes and worse versions of the songs from the film. All the Disney stage musicals I’ve seen have been thoroughly underwhelming - I suppose they’re aimed at kids but I’m a millennial and we’re meant to be suckers for nostalgia and it didn’t do shite all for me

The word guessing game in episode 2 ABSOLUTELY MUST be played again!! Brilliant and funny as hell.
The past couple of seasons affected by the virus felt a bit weird and, honestly, I was a bit worried the magic might be fading; but this season is already showing the magic is still alive and well. Thriving, even.

I got a vibe for a show where these to play a married couple from London who inherit a family member's old farm/BnB/country estate (insert backstory) and end up taking it over, being utterly inept.
I would definitely watch that.

Sarah has been entirely charming and bubbly and brilliant throughout the entire show, so I hope she feels better about how she's performed after it's all over and done with!
Taskmaster definitely makes a difference to me, and so does Sarah Millican's silly clowning.
I'm not sure if Sarah was saying Alex is really good at pretending to be a therapist, or really good at this kind of fast yet seemingly calm banter, but either way she's spot on. Nice to see his banter skills fully unleashed rather than the small tidbits you see mid-task (and rather than the banter stuttering to a stop the way it always does with Greg, even though that's funny on its own merits).
It's also great to watch her directly shift from "wary of what Alex is going to ask and trying to make sure there's enough comedy shoved in" to just a comfortable yet hilarious chat.
The bit @ 2:44 was definitely a compliment on his quick wit.

Suggestion for a future series.. Have one episode where the prize task is to find the best stand-in for them for the episode and have that person explain why the contestant did what they did (got this idea rewatching the new years treat where Alan replaced Jonnie because Jonnie was sick, Alan did such a great job I'd love to see others try it, so why not an episode with 5 stand-ins?)
