I appreciate seeing a youtuber who doesn't say the name of those who take skins out loud. Saying their full out name can seriously cause harm to someone
I LOVE your stories... I have a few that I'm sure I'll get around to sending but your voice is very calming... You should read stories for Audible books and make a side hustle!!! 🤣🤣 Thanx Morg you're amazing!!! XOXO💕💕💕
My friend also has an old woman who has "followed her" since birth, and she says she wants to marry my friend once she dies. The friend is fine with it, but that felt HELLA sketch too me
Lady midday: Poludnitsa, who makes herself evident in the middle of hot summer days, takes the form of whirling dust clouds and carries a scythe, sickle or shears; most likely the shears would be of an older style, not akin to modern scissors. She will stop people in the field to ask them difficult questions or engage them in conversation. If anyone fails to answer a question or tries to change the subject, she will cut off their head or strike them with illness. She may appear as an old hag, a beautiful woman, or a 12-year-old girl, and she was useful in scaring children away from valuable crops. She is only seen on the hottest part of the day and is a personification of a sun-stroke.[5]
In Slovakia we have a similiar version of this, her name is very similar - Poludnica (also meaning Midday), she would appear at fields when it was very hot, from afar she would look like a beautiful woman often wearing wedding dress and carrying a sickle, but the closer you get to her the more ugly she becomes. At the closest she just looks like a skeleton coveted by bits of rotting flesh. The main thing is to not let her see you - if she does she will try to get you as quick as possible. It is speculated that she was created in folklore to scare children into not going out at midday on harsh sun so they wouldn’t get a heatstroke. I really recommend K.J. Erben’s Poludnica ballad that is apart of Kytica (collection of retellings of folk stories).
Hi. Does anyone have any tips for how can I protect myself from the 'walkers'? Where do they exist? They really scare me and I haven't been able to find out how to protect myself/ward them away from my home just in case they are in my area. Thank you!
Hey there where do you reside? Best thing.. don’t whistle at night.. if you hear a baby crying outside no you didn’t. They’re more In indigenous regions. I’m in utah where skinny Walker ranch is and they’re common here. I’d recommend speaking to someone if native descent about ways to avoid them. But avoid talking about them and you’ll be fine
They live mostly on the west of the Mississippi and the eastern equivalent would be a windy boy they reside more in forest and desert where people usually don’t go. And windy boys are a big thing to us people who grew up in and around the Appalachian mountains and it’s the same rules as a Skinny boy and also if something happened you’re wrong it didn’t walk away at a fast pace but not a run
