After 7 months in KETO diet this is what I got:
    Heartburn disappeared
    Dry flakey skin gone
    No more itching
Sensing things crawling on my skin or hair. No more.
    Eyes look more clear.
Weight loss without sweating and hard work, from 210 to 165 lbs.
Feeling of comfort inside my body at all times.
Heart murmur, skipping heart beat gone.
Sleep is much more restful if I am not disturbed by whatever it may be.
Always some black heads somewhere on my face.. No more zits.
I don’t get cuts easily. Stronger skin.
A bump, ingrown hair on my leg for years just suddenly came off. At last poof.
    Overall blood pressure just dropped.
Drop in blood sugar which to my view is quite a big deal. I would have never been able to drop the level if I had to rely on the damn doctor's advice or his cronies.
No more dry nose which caused bleeding every so often. In fact, my nose is supple and soft. Not all dried out.
My morning breath is not so annoying that I can’t wait to brush the sucker.
I don’t feel bogged down.. Just a fresher energy. The air feels better and my mood is simply much lighter breezy like.
I used to get light headed more often than I cared and that is gone.
    HDL-C went from 40 to 75
Triglycerides went from 225 to 50
    A1C dropped from 5.7 to 5.3
So all the above and then one problem or is it? LDL-C went from 104 to 350. And I can bet that it will keep rising at this rate. I might break all the records. I will have the biggest rise in LDL-C in human history.. my goal is 1000 mg.
So what is wrong with this picture? In other words what is the exact actual problem here? No I mean , is there a problem? What problem?
If I do drop dead tomorrow from high LDL-C I will drop dead feeling pretty damn good obviously, which mind you is the whole point. You wanna die feeling good. You can't beat that with a long stick.🙂

Well from what I understand, what you need to do is check inches around the waist and other areas. Sometimes when in Ketosis you will lose fat, and gain muscle mass at the same time. Since muscle is heavier and more dense than fat, you will keep roughly the same weight for a while. I would suggest checking your inches to see if you are losing that way, and just keep at it. Hopefully someone with a little more knowledge than I will come on here to help. I hope that helps at least a little.

      Ian,
May God bless you; you're very lucky to have a wonderful doctor who cares about your health.
I've been searching for many years to find a good doctor who would be up to date with modern knowledge but can't find any in Toronto. My physician is old-schooled and only believes in prescribing pharmaceuticals. Many patients are speaking about his attitude but they can't find another doctor better than him.
Whenever someone visits and starts telling him their symptoms, he quickly pulls out his prescription pad and begins to write some kind of medication before the patient even finishes telling him what their symptoms are.
Previously, I was taking Lipitor and after some years I couldn't raise my arms and was also having pain from my hip down to my ankles when walking (even a few yards); my doctor told me it was old age (50 years old) and said I should NOT stop the Lipitor because I could get a stroke or heart attack and that's not causing my pain.
I returned home very sad and disappointed; I threw all the Lipitor into the trash can and, ONLY six (6) days after NOT taking the Lipitor, I had NO MORE pain.
I visited my doctor and showed him that I could raise my arms once again and walk WITHOUT any difficulties! He asked what I did and I told him exactly!

Dr berry I have been a ICU registered nurse for 30 plus years. When we discharge a patient home with heart disease or diabetes the doctors still put them on low fat low cholesterol 1800 cal diet. Then send them home with insulin or metformin and a bunch of medications. It kills me that doctors still are not getting or conveying to their patients the new thinking and using ketogenic or carnivore diet! I have argued to the doctors to try to start putting patients on keto but they won’t do it. Glad of what your doing and promoting keto. I use keto from your teaching and feel wonderful and my stomach and body is much better! Thank you!

Hi folks, I'm in the Berry's private group. I'm one of those folks who has a problem with the protien in cow and goats milk. I just ADORE raw milk from free range animals. I can use butter but even the heavy cream has about 60 to 70% milk and I end up with so much joint pain within hours of having cream. It takes DAYS and going on prednisone for 3 days to pull out of the debilitating pain. I didn't touch any dairy for 6 months and tried to reintroduce dairy just this month. It's just not worth the pain.

Q?? My daughter 35 has PCKD diagnosed at 19 after a heart surgery at age 5, congenital A/S anomalous return of a pulmonary vein. Now, 18 wks into her first pregnancy, has been in & out of local Shannon Hospital System here with chest pains PLUS (various pains in various locations - none involving OB so that was the only hospital room to keep her in, yet they kept offering her sugared juices, salted bouillion - you know the routine. But no dietary instructions. She spent 30 years learning best ways to eat and keep her kidneys healthy, but now after pumped 2 wks of antibiotics...her creatinine is off the charts, & now she's experiencing PTSD, afraid of having to go back to the hospital. Here, anyway. She feels like they nearly put her into renal failure and are still just picking at foods and working on accepting the chest pains in the night. I don't think she should still be having this many issues. They told her to use more plant proteins and cut out their organic grass fed no antibiotics meats. She is still weak almost 2 wks out of the hospital and tries to get up a bit. But do you have ideas for her fuel? She is afraid of bone broths (too hi protein) abd too weak to make her own veg broth. Only caffeine free teas, & of course they said absolutely no herbals that she has always used to.
    Wait....
Who was that Nephrologist? Does he have a RUclips channel? We don't have one out here that can handle a PCKD pregnant pt. We are still looking for a NICU for them to go to since all they did for her the whole time here, when she c/o SOB & chest pains, was offer her pain pills. Even after she was already vomiting. Yeah- we need help. Please

10:30 I sometimes wake up with a headache and usually I realize it's because I'm a little dehydrated. I also had a neck injury about 5 years ago that (at the time) caused pain and tingling down both arms as well as a headache upon waking. Now, when I wake up with a headache, I evaluate whether my neck issue is flaring up, and I make sure I drink more water with electrolytes (LMNT brand is my favorite and I also like Redmond ReLyte Hydration). I've eaten a meat-heavy ketogenic diet for almost 8 years now.

*Mushrooms* - I'm allergic to them. I thought I had hay fever and was sneezing a lot and if it happened during the night time my nose would run for ages and keep me awake. One day I thought about it and wondered what symptoms might be for mushroom allergy and my symptoms matched. I stopped the mushrooms and about 4 days later my "hay fever" stopped.

Hi Dr Berry . Sorry I missed your live podcast’
I’m currently back on Keto after off it for a couple of years , wish I had Never stopped, but I’m in for the long haul Now . Been Keto for 7wks now . Just wondering if I did the right thing on taking myself off Asprin and Statins 🤔I had a stent put in about 10yrs ago .
I’m feeling brilliant. Should I have done that ?

Dr. Berry, my husband has a 1300 CAC and is S/P 2 stents in 2006. He has been strict keto since June. He is finally off those awful statins and 2 antihypertensives. Have you seen the CAC's improve? Have you seen anticlotting plavix replaced with tumeric, berberine, etc?
    Thanks for your answer. Rita

My husband's CAC was 500 and his former doctor insisted he get on an injection that works like a statin. Statins have always given him a terrible quality of life, so he refused. We are doing keto and praying it reverses CAC.

What I have done in the past is take the prescription, but not take the pill and concentrate on my diet and when I go back to my doctors for a re-tested and say wow you’re doing great. This is not medical advice just what I did

Smile and nod and say ok. Then do what you want. If you’re in a hospital, remember it’s not a prison. You are free to leave or get yourself transferred. If the hospital wants to keep you, you little money maker, and offers counseling, say no.
