Are we sure that story’s true? I mean Oz IS a pathological liar. For we all we know the four daughters COULD be the original maidens. It’s kind of 50/50 at this point
This actually has me thinking. Why did Ozpin give Pyrrha so many chances to dip out? It doesn't make sense given the circumstances. Am I overthinking this by saying that the relic of Choice is powering the machine? His first choice of words was that Pyrrha "has a choice to make". There were different ways to word that, why go with that? I know the concept of the relics was brought up in V4, but think about it. The facts after the bitter end of V3 seem to fit the slots. 1) The relic wasn't in its vault 2) Ozpin made sure to hide it well 3) It isn't Ozpin's cane While some theories would suggest that Choice is buried in Summer's grave, I'd like to think it's in the vault, but not in the way Knowledge was. Choice isn't being overly protected and locked up, it's being used as a battery, something nobody would expect.
Because forcing fabulous magical powers into an unwilling host is a good damn way to make that host your enemy. In the best case scenario, that means the person with fabulous magical powers will run away at first opportunity and won't follow your orders. In the worst case, she fights against you and maybe even join the other side. And we see the worst case play out with Cinder. Once Oz gives awesome magical Maiden powers to someone, he has no way to control them except by their willingness to follow his orders due to moral authority. If he FORCES Maiden powers on someone, he basically gives up that moral authority.
The relic of choice is most likely in beacon's fault. It might require a second key of somekind. (Possibly all four maidens. But who knows. Sense the atlas arc is ending next vol aka vol 8.) Which leaves the fact vacuo is most likely up next. In vol 9, 10 and possibly but likely or unlikely 11. With the last one/two vol's probably being about beacon again. Also here's a want IF scenario.
