Welldone Gary, I have a Cyrusher Ranger and the amount of fun I've got from it is immense, it will actually give you quite a workout and at the time you won't feel like your getting a workout because it's so much fun but they definitely do benefit the old leg muscles and the cardio too. Cyrusher bikes all seem quite high quality too, the Bafang motor is long lived and rugged. All you need to do is put an camera and tripod in a backpack and go out to places that no other form of transport apart from on foot will take you and get more amazing photo's:) Sandy
Thanks for the great, and very relevant to me, review Gary. Never had an ebike but have been looking into them recently. This Trax by Cyrusher stands out to me and your words have confirmed my thoughts so far... nice one. It's on my shopping list!
What a great review! Ive had an e+bike for a month now and its the most fun ive had in awhile! I just pack my pen-f m43 camera and tripod on back of bike and explore. Ive got diabetes so im on pedal assist 1 and get my exercise in.
Great review Gary. I actually think this could be a super useful photography accessory! How many times when out in the car do we see fantastic views to photograph but unfortunately nowhere to stop or park the car, maybe this is an answer, surely in most situations there would be somewhere to park the car not too far away, if we have one of these bikes with us, simply park where possible and then cycle to the exact location we want to photograph. So will we be seeing you with this bike up a mountain at the mach loop, lol. Great review Gary, you are a very honest, decent chap we can all vouch for that! Cheers mate.
I bought myself an ordinary e-bike nearly 2 years ago to get out and about with the camera and without the car (it avoids a certain amount of parking stress and charges) and to go to and from work (30km round trip). It's something I wouldn't be without.
Been riding mountain bikes for years, and while away last week in Spain, rode an ebike for the first time. What an amazing tool. Unfortunately, the local drug dealers tend to ride the off road versions at 40+ around the local streets in the UK.. Great tool, in the right hands, and used respectfully.
Before I took up Photography I was a keen mountain bike rider, then 5 years ago for my 50th my kids got me a Sony h400 bridge camera, i fell in love with photography so only natural I combined the 2, but then about 2 years ago my knees started playing up and I ended up pushing the bike more than riding it, my photography has suffered because of it and an e-bike could definitely be the solution for me, great video Gary, can definitely see your enjoyment.😁
Does exactly what it says on the tin.... And that's Gary by the way true gent and genuine followed for a long time and met at one of his NISI meeting👍 great review and honest, many thanks ❤
Really been enjoying your photography videos full of help and a huge knowledge regarding all things photography But some of the facts in this video are not (to my knowledge) correct, regarding using a deregulated e-bike this can only be done on private property and not on public bridle ways.
Hello i´m from Germany and your Video excited me! Very cool and your Summary is wonderful to watch and hear. My english is not the best, but i hope you understanding me. Thanks for this video and have a lot fun with the Cyrusher Trax! I drive the same bike...A good time to you, greetings from germany Heiko
Any bike that gets you outdoors and cycling is a good thing for anyone’s health, ive cycled all my life and I’m 52 now but when my knees give up I will get a e bike 😊
I cycle twice a week and at 62 my knees can give me jip going up long hills . So I have been considering a e bike for a while. I do take my camera gear with me and because my mountain bike is 10 years old the idear it may be stolen is not on my mind. But e bike is a lot of money to lose. But I keep thinking I really want one. Good vid and in six months you will be 10 years younger 😊
I'm very interested Gary. I used to be superfit and mountain bike up vertical slopes etc 😊 But I'd love that bike simply to access hills with assistance but getting fit as well.
Cracking review, very informative and matches my experience of the bike. Get the official Cyrusher pannier rack, it's very sturdy and allows the attachment of big panniers. Should be more than enough for your camera gear and save you from having to lug a backpack around. Due to the weight of the bike and the power it can produce, I would only ever recommend it to experienced cyclists but you've certainly proven that wrong, well done. Props also to the Cyrusher team for choosing a wildcard option to get feedback on their product, shows confidence and is in my mind well placed.
Gary, one has to love it when in the first one minute the phrase, “I hate everything about these damn things”. (Almost fell out of chair as I was laughing so hard and thought this is going to be a fun time.) A real trooper, standing in the rain and going on with your thoughts. 👍 You seem to be somewhat in my age group talking about the 70s, and also a “bigger” fellow. I've owned the Lectric XP (original one back in 2019), Aventon Adventure 2, sold both of those, regret selling the Adventure 2 as I want of “fat tire” bike. I want a “fat tire” to go along with my 2.3 inch tire Specialized Como 5.0 IGH as when I ride the unpaved trails “fat tire” bikes are so more unforgiving. I subscribed to your channel because as a non-professional, who dabbles in photography, I'm sure from time to time you'll have something to offer in that area. Thanks, Gary, for the entertaining and inspiring video.
Great Gary. Excellent testimony and above all a new start for health. An interesting and high quality assembly. Congratulations for this initiative that lets us reflect on the importance of staying in shape. Sincerely, Mark.
This is great Gary, but in all fairness, there has to be some negative aspects to the bike.?? Nothing is perfect. I have been contemplating for eight months in order to buy an e-bike. My number one factor is I do not have the room to store it, but I am still trying to find a solution to that problem. You are twisting my mind. Here in Canada, we only have six months of usage because of the cold weather. That is a factor to consider. I am sure there is a solution to my problems in order to justify the purchase of an e-bike. Excellent review Gary. Be careful with your monster.😊😊
I didn't want to review the bike as a straight-forward reviewer. Negatives include the weight. The back light uses normal batteries which is strange when the front light is wired into the system. That's pretty much it though.
It is funny that you are doing a video on e-bikes. I was looking for one for quite a while but finally decided to get an e-scooter instead. It is easier for me to transport but still allows me to carry my cameras with me so I can explore places with no parking anywhere near. My only issue is that once I looked at the manual I found the recommended age was 16-50. I am not within that range nor will I ever be again. 😅
These bikes trouble me. See too many on the moors on paths they are not allowed access to. Seen people using bike battery power only to get up hills. Great as they may be, laws and by-laws limiting them just get ignored and become a danger and a problem to those who access the wild places by their own efforts.
Nice bike Gary, but at almost 90Ib its much heavier than some other and for me to lug it round the side of the house and up a couple of steps its just a bit too heavy! Thanks for the review.
Great review. I converted my mountain bike to an eBike two years ago with a 250 watt kit. No where near this bike's super spec but it meant I can carry on cycling with an arthritic hip. eBikes are great and make Lake district cycling so much more fun and you can carry some hefty photo gear :) . How easy is it to remove the rear wheel? I carry my eBike flat on my roof bars as it's too heavy to use a 'normal' cycle rack. I remove both wheels to enable me to lift it onto the roof so that' an important characteristic if I am considering an eBike purchase.
I remove the front wheel (just 2 nuts) to get into the van. It’s really easy. I’m guessing the back wheels won’t but too dissimilar. They do foldable and lightweight ones too. www.cyrusher.co.uk/
The reason I purchased my e-MTB was I got fed up lugging the camera kit up hills on my MTB. It’s a game changer.. great fun .. go further … take more photos .. what more do you want ?
That's what I'm enjoying about the bike too 👍 The bike is rated to 6'6" and I'm 6'4". The seat is as high as it will go. I look as if I dwarf the bike from the ariel shots but it feels big to me at ground level, if you know what I mean? :)
@@GaryGough I was being a bit cheeky… cyclists always like to hint at how / what would be better…. Like photography I suppose. Really enjoy your videos and your photography… look forward to meeting you in person one day… take it easy on that bike 🥴

But a 44t chain ring will have you spinning your legs off at 22mph. Great for getting up steeper hills, but you'll suffer on the top end speed. With the 52t chain ring the bike will do 30mph and at a comfortable slower cadence.
