Yes great version Nataly and Pomplamoose - here are the lyrics: When I was young, it seemed that life was so wonderful, A miracle, oh it was beautiful, magical. And all the birds in the trees, well, they'd be singing so happily, Joyfully, playfully watching me. But then they sent me away to teach me how to be sensible, Logical, responsible, practical. And they showed me a world where I could be so dependable, Clinical, intellectual, cynical. There are times when all the world's asleep, The questions run too deep For such a simple man. Won't you please, please tell me what we've learned? I know it sounds absurd But please tell me who I am. Now watch what you say or they'll be calling you a radical, Liberal, fanatical, criminal. This is done in one the recognised Pomplamoose styles. It is a very enjoyable rendition, very faithful to the spirit of the original. When I saw they had covered this one, I was hoping they were going to use one of their other knowwn styles - the groove funk approach. I was disappointed they didn't do that, but all the same, this was a very fine song.
There's a lesser known song by Supertramp called Downstream that I think is really beautiful. I think Pomplamoose would rock it. The same could be said for From Now On by Supertramp.
Absolutely no-one can recreate the sax solo as we know it from the original recording. Not even Supertramp themselves can do that Live. It was just uniquely conserved in the studio. So it's perfectly alright that Pomplamoose don't even bother and instead offer their very own version. Absolutely well done.
I was 14 or 15 when I first heard this song. It haunted me then, and it still speaks to me now in my fifties! Thanks for a great interpretation of a classic!

One of my favorite songs from the time. Breakfast In America was a fantastic album. This is a wonderful, creative cover, and Nataly seemed to cut loose a bit more than usual with her singing - really going for it - which is an excellent thing! Thank you.
Great cover. The purist in me still longs for the clarinet and sax parts. I’m a child of ‘68 and heard this the first time through a hotel wall radio on a family trip; left to watch my sisters while mom and dad went to have a drink at the hotel bar. But I remember the song clearly. (Some pro wrestling was on the tv in the room, but it was on mute.) Anyway… just a memory from my past as I listen to your performance. Good job. 😎
As a big fan of Supertramp and the original version of this song, I do have to say that you guys did a fantastic job with your interpretation of this. Very nice, and thank you so much for sharing this with us.
Today I am almost 60 and, somehow, I almost learned that rationality and emotions coexist somewhere inside me, but that was not always so evident, there was a time when there was a crisis of 30. It was then that I dusted off the old Supertramp album (Bon soir Paris ... You know what I mean). Recording a song like that is not easy. This is one of those songs whose original recording is almost perfect. Singing it very differently will only make it worse. Singing it just imitating Supertramp would only demote you. It's like trying to re-record Billy Holiday or Sing along with Pavarotti. It is almost certain to fail. When I decided to listen to them I was sure I would regret it, but even so I went ..... The keyboard entered (- it's an imitation - I thought). A voice came in, beautiful and different. The perfect diction and a certain softness (- Lack of emotion - I insisted). But then I realized that the emotion that was missing was not hers, it was mine. I am no longer 30 years old and I am no longer in crisis. I listened more carefully, let the music invade my ears and mind. I let the memories invade my thoughts and found everything there where it should be. At the end I found: I can't believe I'm saying this, but your recording was (better not to say). Do not know. Perhaps. Fine. Your recording was even more beautiful than theirs. OK. I said.
Their recording was a sophisticated take on what is pop canon, but it ENDED TOO SOON. It should have gone on with the rest of it, and it would have have been amazing to see her break out of her controlled vocal state by riffing - in HER way - at the end like the original... That is the thing about this group, I love their discipline, just like Supertramp's, but Supertramp was about going beyond the discipline into individuality and real creativity.
La première interprétation, qui m’a fait découvrir Pomplamoose, il y a quelques mois. Scotché, capturé entre la chanson elle même et le plaisir de voir jouer. Je devinais le sourire, le plaisir de Mr CONTE malgré le masque.
Nice take on a classic. Similar enough to not detract from the greatness of the original but with enough difference to be inspiring to a new audience. Well done with that arrangement.
This is a fantastic reinterpretation of "The Logical Song". Whether the saxophone solo has to be included is a matter of opinion. Because the instrumental arrangement has largely been changed here. In my opinion, the sax is not missing at all in this version. Greetings from 🇩🇪
The original rocked, but DAMN. Pomplamoose made it their own with this cover! Lush vocals, lil bit of funk...Nice spin on it! Needs to be released on top 40 or Alt Nation. It's REALLY THAT damn good!!

What a great song to cover! The album BREAKFAST IN AMERICA came out when I was 13 (very much still the '70s) and it was ubiquitous for awhile, both in Europe (where I was living that spring) and back home in the U.S. I'm pretty sure it's buried note-for-note in my head (the way music you listen to when you're 13 gets), though I probably haven't heard the whole thing in over thirty years.
I love how you've revisited this great song, perfect balance between "modern touch" and respectful tribute to the original. And even though I love the sax part in Supertramp's version, I don't feel that anything is missing here - and it's a sax player writing!
Another one of those times I thought the cover was way better than the original. I'm flabbergasted. The chills started at the point where the four-to-the-floor basedrum kicked in. And the goosebumps rose even higher when the vocal harmonies started to sound so much like ABBA. You're gods to me. _bows down_
As a Supertramp dire fan I do contratulate you for this fantastic and original cover!!! The Logical Song is a so well known track that doing a cover that sounds original is not an easy task... you've not only done it, but also given it a new catchy strength.
The way you bring a ( much-needed ) sense of fragility to this song is wonderous! Thank you. And the timing, given The State Of Everything, is impeccable.
Holy cow. I don't usually have the highest expectations for covers when I click on them. This cover changes that. That was REALLY good! It has the amount of Supertramp that doesn't drown out what makes the song good. But, you guys added your own things to the song, which made it your own. It's unique. Terrific job!
I listen and re-listen to your music and fall more in love with your band each time. I wish I could see you perform. Come to Perth, Australia sometime please... please. Oh but the joy of listening to you on RUclips with headphones on is wonderful. Thank you. ❤Toby
Felt great realization that I've been slowly reversing my mindset from pragmatic to emphatic since childhood. The way you delivered those lyrics was so crystal clear.
Kicked ass on this song. Turned to max with my $2000 Sony headphones and it was even better...no flaws detected...just amazingness (just invented that adjective for you). Hugs to you all.
I just keep going to the beginning again and again. And again. Fantastic cover of a fantastic song. Girl, your voice is silk. The break down at the end is fire! Thank you so much!
This is a masterclass in putting your own spin on a classic song - it's different from the original but there's so much creativity in there too - gives the song a new lease of life. I could her the original sax in my head letting rip when I was listening to this version.
We've had a Scooter version, and now a Pomplamoose version. I feel like that's about as far in opposite directions as we can go in terms of aesthetic. Pack it up guys, we're good :3

And the goosebumps rose even higher when the vocal harmonies started to sound so much like ABBA. You're gods to me. _bows down_
The 1980s, my youth but wasn't the logical song 1979? Sill, so happy to find your cover. It has always been a favorite of mine.
love the original song and fell in love with this cover
As a Supertramp dire fan I do contratulate you for this fantastic and original cover!!! The Logical Song is a so well known track that doing a cover that sounds original is not an easy task... you've not only done it, but also given it a new catchy strength.
Ficou linda essa música com vocês!!! Saudações brasileiras.
The way you bring a ( much-needed ) sense of fragility to this song is wonderous! Thank you. And the timing, given The State Of Everything, is impeccable.
Thank you. This is such a good version of an already excellent original. You're becoming one of my favorite groups.
you might enjoy this video that reveals their process of creation. Awesome to see how it all comes together ruclips.net/video/ye2dEokIyKE/видео.html
Just wow! Please consider making more Supertramp covers! :) I bet that Supertramp's "School" in your performance would be another hit!
Thank you. ❤Toby
Another great arrangement. Excellent.
Felt great realization that I've been slowly reversing my mindset from pragmatic to emphatic since childhood. The way you delivered those lyrics was so crystal clear.
Maravilhosa versão. Vocês se superam sempre. Adoro os arranjos e a voz é demais..
So envious of musicians! Thanks for all the music. Great tune and a great cover!
Kicked ass on this song. Turned to max with my $2000 Sony headphones and it was even better...no flaws detected...just amazingness (just invented that adjective for you). Hugs to you all.
Encore une interprétation magistrale de Pomp La Moose!! Bravo et encore Bravo!!
I can't criticise a single thing about the musical performance, it was perfect, but it lacked cynicism which is the essence of the song.
Yeah, well, it is what it is.
Lack of cynicism is the cynicism of today.
And the ridiculous wearing of a masks... they are already physically distance... only for virtue signals... oh wait except the singers duh
Marcus Miller Well you see, the masks are because they have to watch what they say, or they'll be calling them radical-liberal, fanatical, criminal!

I just keep going to the beginning again and again. And again. Fantastic cover of a fantastic song. Girl, your voice is silk. The break down at the end is fire! Thank you so much!
I bet it's not easy to take a brilliant Supertramp song to a new level but you pretty much did it.
This is a masterclass in putting your own spin on a classic song - it's different from the original but there's so much creativity in there too - gives the song a new lease of life. I could her the original sax in my head letting rip when I was listening to this version.
Wow! So sweet version, thx 🙏
Love this band , love her. Amazing voice. True pros.
We've had a Scooter version, and now a Pomplamoose version. I feel like that's about as far in opposite directions as we can go in terms of aesthetic. Pack it up guys, we're good :3
Ellie Harris Metal is missing...my dudes will think of something
I was far happier before listening to Scooter but... for the lazy: ruclips.net/video/4YxTa1AUqps/видео.html (EDIT: put up the correct link, thanks to @Ellie Harris)

@@tigamaki1345 LOL right, I copypasted the wrong link, thank you :-D I was joking, of course, no music is unworthy of a listen, expecially when it's so far out your comfort zone
Great SONG, GREAT Version. Very cool
Today I heard "Ella, Elle L'A" by France Gall again since a long time and I thought that I would really like to hear a Pomplamoose version of it.
loving, now I have to go back and revisit supertramp. hey hey hey hey hey
Literally bought new headphones just to hear this better.
Jack, get some normal sleep
Freaking Awesome! I Love You Guys!
Wow, I literally got chills listening to this. I had to back inside and put some clothes on.
Outstanding! And having been a huge fan of Supertramp & being 25 years old when it was released, I feel qualified to say your interpretation is spot on.
