Yeah R301 is still pretty good! TTK being lower nerfs it but at 176 DPS its 4 DPS behind the Flatline at 180. The thing the flatline has though, is more damage per magazine. The R301 has 364 body shot damage per mag while the flatline has 540 damage per mag. Meanwhile, the Hemlock 630 damage per mag, and is more accurate. Downside of the Hemlock is a lower DPS of 133
Thank you for the comment and data! It's very insightful :) Yeah, if I was picking a burst I'd pick the Nemesis over the Hemlock, but that would be personal preference. As for the Flatine, I've always had a love hate relationship with it. Sometimes throughout the season, I feel like I'm absolutely beaming with it. Other times I feel like I'm terrible with it. That's why I always liked the R301... the consistency.
I always loved the R301 and I may pick it up more. But since the release of the Nemesis and how broken it was, that has been my favorite rifle for a while. Always had a love hate relationship with the Flatline.
Hey Kolgarr, has anyone reached out to you about trying to revitalize the competitive scene in Combat Arms? There is a group of people trying to bring back WOGL, get ghosting removed from SND, and just building up a competitive base of players for the game.
Many, many times. I just don't think its a game that is worth attempting to keep alive anymore. It just hasn't held up with the times and the only way I personally would want to play it is if it had massive changes to make it less buggy and better optimized. However, then it wouldn't be Combat Arms anymore.
Interesting! I don't mind the damage nerf, it definitely makes it so R301 isn't the only AR that people use which is nice. I think its the damage nerf in addition to the hipfire nerf. It just feels like it doesn't have a lot of upside compared to other weapons. Either way, it's still not bad!

I always run a 301 and hemlock. It's still my favorite rifle

i liked the intro.
I think the r301 is pretty balanced.
A solid secondary
Ah you use it as a secondary? What is your usual primary?
@@Kolgarr havic🤫🤫
i think the 301 is in a pretty good state atm

@@Kolgarr i mean id say the hipfires still more accurate than flatlines
Yes, but no
I think I agree with you. At least if you're saying yes in the sense its not completely irrelevant, but no in the sense it's necessarily good.
@@Kolgarr exactly 💯
