I agree with Jeff, we have a 9 month old Great Dane puppy and a 6 yr old Siberian Husky and they LOVE going with us. They actually get more exercise than when we are home!
Hey, guys! My husband and I have watched all of your videos and have enjoyed EVERY ONE. But Episode 59 blew us away! The drone footage of the coast, the music, Fern Canyon, Jedidiah State Park, those mammoth TREES! Thank you for throwing in that photo of Jared standing next to the Titan. That really helped us gain some perspective of the enormity of these Redwoods. And yes, the slug was even beautiful! Wow!! Knocked it out of the park!
One of the reasons i like watching your channel is you give us good ideas on places to go and things to do. Because of cancer we are a bit more limited in what we can do now, but our adventures together have never been better. And that in part is because of you and others like you sharing their journeys. And we can not thank you enough for sharing.
"a beautiful unveiling of fern canyon"--you know, that is what your videos have been. A beautiful unveiling of a family figuring out how to do this RV travel thing and exploring this stunning continent with good humor, a happy sense of the absurd and a commitment to believe that the best of all of us is yet to come. In gratitude.
Caleb just talks to anyone. He's probably had more conversations with people on the trip that you just met along the way than he has as home with his friends. He will have no problem talking to girls when he's older! Love the video, Keep it up guys :)
One of the reasons we want you to do longer videos, is that you do such a great job. Another reason, for me at least, is I don't ever want one to end :(. Again, lot it when one of your videos show up with the bell ringing!!!! Thanks, as always great job! Thank you to your family.
Family, the videography from the Grove of the Giants was fabulous! The mixture of video and the music was spectacular. Thank you for the another magnificent look at another part of our great country. One day soon, my family will be following the trails you and your family have shown us. Thank you again!
Grants Pass is amazing. I was only 15 when I was there but I remember it was really beautiful. Can't wait for that video. I'm born and raised Colorado (which is amazing RV country, hint hint) but I lived in Oregon for a year out on the coast in Coos Bay just north of the Ocean Spray cranberry bogs in Bandon. That's something to see when they harvest. And if you happen through Tillamook, don't pass up the cheese factory. Watching your videos makes me very excited to finally buy our camper and start taking the family on our own adventures.
Just halfway through this video and already know I'll be watching it again with Google maps open pinpointing all these dreamy spots for our upcoming trip up the west coast! TY!
The music playing at the 15 minute mark with the shots of the woods gave me chills and almost made me cry. I'm a sentimental fool. Lol. It was beautifully done. One day I will travel like you guys. My partner and I just need a way to make money on the road.
OMG, the grove of the giants is SOOOO gorgeous! It just about takes my breath away, even through the video. I sometimes wonder why I was put in this ugly place where there is absolutely zero natural scenery, only the summer heat when I love the forest like that so much, not to mention the mountains and gorgeous coastal drives. Marc, your videos are just amazing. You are top of the line professional. Love the drone shots, and the fun you guys had with your friends. You guys are all so awesome!
I agree with them. You do such an excellent job of capturing the wonder and beauty of a place it's like we are taking the hike with you. For someone like me with a bum knee who would not be able to take these hikes it's so enjoyable to see it through your "eyes"! Forget 25 min. I vote 60!!!! 😄😄😄 🙏. I so look forward to these videos.
What a terrific video. I'm kind of bummed, when I got married many years ago I had a corvette that I was planning to go down to coast highway to this location. Unfortunately in getting the corvette ready the dealership messed it up and wasn't ready in time. Needless to say we never made the trip. Now I see what we missed. Glad I was able to see it in spirit with you. Someday I have to go there. I saw a outfit that looked just like yours go by the store in Columbia Falls, made me smile as I thought of your great videos.
Great video and incredible sites. Great info all around. However, it's the family that keeps me watching Marc is very knowledgeable and just makes you feel like you are there with them (sometimes I do feel like a third wheel) Trish is sweet, beautiful and that girl pours with a heavy hand. Good times Guys, a very good time. See ya'll next week.
I love it! I live north of Napa and travel all over the west but forget how gorgeous my home base is. Now I have some great ideas of where to go for a quick weekend away. Can't wait to see your footage on your way up to Bend. I just got back from visiting Crater Lake National Park. OMG! I could seriously live like a hermit on Wizard Island and be in heaven. Well, until the snow comes at least. Thanks for posting these funny videos!! You are lighting a fire under me to take my RV travels full time. I teach so having 2 months off is amazing... Not complaining.
Two months per year sounds perfect if you can use most of that time! You'd like Emerald Bay in Lake Tahoe. We'll show you soon - a lot like Wizard Island. Bend is going to be good.
Emerald Bay for sure! A few weeks ago I was heading back after traveling to Colorado Springs and all the amazing national parks in Colorado/Utah. Stopped at a Hot Springs in Carson City and couldn't get home on I80 due to the fires. Detoured to lake Tahoe and extended our trip. No camping available but will head back soon! BTW~ Carson City Hot Springs is a must stop it you are driving by. Not so pretty from the outside but the pools are amazing! Listed as one of the cleanest natural hot springs in the world. Family friendly and reasonable in cost. But for sure pay a little extra for the private room. Super hot tubs, turn up the music provided, and be in bliss. One thing I miss while camping is a bathtub and this place is amazing.
Another great video guys! My wife and I love Northern California and we (as NY'ers) were excited to "visit" again through you guys. Beautiful footage as always. Thanks for putting in the time and effort so that all of us can share the journey.
I vote to take the dogs if you have them. We have a 115lb Yellow Lab/Golden Retriever mix and a 60lb Pointer mix. The lab gets totally excited when we're hitching and packing. He loves to see and smell new places. The only pain is that not all places are dog friendly but we don't go there if the dogs aren't welcome. Another great video guys! You're making our destination list longer.
Thanks Eric. Did you see the two boys on the Fern hike pointing at the camera? Even when they're doing a bear grills impersonation... when you add some slow motion and add music, no one knows!
This is so beautiful guys! I drove from Phoenix to Seattle a few times and love this drive. But your drone shots are something else... Thank you for motivating me to take another drive up there! Spectacular! Thank you! Best, Sasha
What a fantastic video. Your videos are fine. Like Goldilocks...just right. I like that not all the same length. You do a good job of editing and knowing which stops or vids need those extra times. The nice opening, mixing of drone shots in different places...just really good video. Keep up the good work. Northern Cali is where I would live if had to live in that state. Redwoods, mountains, beaches the crisp air and not too hot. I enjoyed my trip through there in 2015. Also meant to say it on last video but HAPPY ANNIVERSARY. 18 yrs? GOOD JOB. Ya know, on a happy life, kids, laughing...not committing murder after that long. At 14 yrs for us...I look forward to 20. I was curious how you guys got alone time with such a small space. Seems little things like this really do help (winery tasting) it is wonderful to see that. Especially when the "trendy" thing seems to mock marriage and being with one person. I KNEW IT. I thought that lighthouse looked familiar in the beginning shot. My gf and I stayed in Trinidad. What a great town. The little coffee shop near the elementary school was so good. We stayed a little motel/cabin place outside of the main town area. It was very nice place.
Thank you for such beautiful videos. You show JUST enough. Your channel, along with a few others, make me and my family want to explore more. Thank you!
And the academy award goes to... nice video, very cinematic, music choice was spot on. Bro, you're getting good! It's raining and sitting in Devils Lake State Park in our RV!
Amazing footage. We lived in Phoenix up until we left in 2004. Loved living there and so much to see. Never got to go see the Redwoods so thank you for this.
I love the set up for the dogs beds. I am playing catch up with your videos. We found out three weeks ago our kitty Alley has a hyperthyroid and a couple weeks ago she had a scary few days where we weren't sure she was going to make it. But she's doing better now so I figure now is a perfect time to catch up with my favorite family on youtube. 😉😊
Great video Marc! We are even more excited about our northern California tour next year after seeing this. Thanks again, looking forward to your next one. Absolutely agree on the longer videos.
I have been waiting for this video, love the massive Redwoods. The video of kayaking and seeing the seals was great. Plus, the Fern Canyon looked amazing. And, and, and...so many great things packed into this video. I wasn't excited about California until now; the nature videos resonate the most with me, as that is where I spend as much time as possible.
Love that part of California. That Redwood Grove you visited is near where they filmed Return of the Jedi. Star Wars used private logging area so they could build what they needed. But it goes right into those parks.
Jedediah Smith park is a fabulous park to see the redwoods. There is another near Sacramento called Caleveras Big Trees State park where there are some more of the Giant redwoods and some huge Lodgepole Pines. One of them was cored and aged and the scientists figure that it was a sapling about the time of King David. A bit off the beaten path but well worth it. There are other places to see them but I have found these 2 to be my favorites.
Another awesome, enjoyable, perfect video. I know you must spent so much time getting everything just right but you can see and hear it. I just made a mini movie for a celebration of life and I know the amount of time spent editing can be like hours of time for a few minutes of good video. Thanks again for all the work and effort. We can see it.
I remember when Nomad Fanatic parked his RV in Eureka. First, he was awakened by some jerk trying to steal his solar panel. The cops came and arrested the would-be thief. Then, he heard dozens of shots being fired outside his RV. Turned out the police had stopped someone and the guy began shooting. Like you said, it's a drive-through city.
You never disappoint!! Amazing video again you guys!! I think this one, my favourite parts have got to be the "31 classic limited" and the "hundred dollar bill". Really like the dogs day bed haha. Also great job to Carson on vlogging!!
I am so hooked on your video's! I have watched all the prior seasons and now I have to wait each week for the the next one... I'm in love with your family and the life style. You all are so funny but informative and I love how you make it work for the whole family. I am keeping a list of all the places you go to so when my time comes I can see them all in person...
If you are ever back in Eureka CA you may want to stop a see the Carson Mansion. Built in the late 1880s and restored in the late 1980s. Look it up. Love the site, and safe travels.
I love the North Coast! I lived in Eureka, met my wife of 23 years. Our first date was we had lunch in Trinadad. So sad what has happened to that area! We saw the writing on the wall and moved to North Idaho years ago.
Great video, powerful music. Had to laugh out loud several times. Can't imagine the video is 20 minutes long, was over so quickly. Great job! Absolutely awesome shots!
Commenting at min 4:27...You didn't mention Patrick's Point so....If you get this way again, check it out! Tons of trails, beautiful natural landscape and some historical features. Love your videos!
We were at Fern Canyon just a few weeks ago it is truly an amazing beautiful place. Felt like we were in hobbit land. The water dripping down the sides of the canyon looked like little jewels dropping from the sky. So glad you made the hike, it's a place I would go back to many times because it makes you feel so good and privileged to be there.
Love the production quality of this video. This is easily the best I've seen from KYD. Great images, drone shots, music, and theme for the episode. Keep up the great work!!!
Another great video. Thank you!!. We can't wait to get on the road. Watching your videos really helps us know what to expect. Keep up the fantastic sharing.
Keep Your Daydream, what is Patagonia? On Tricia's hat. 14:36, what is Trish drinking? Love the music when you're exploring the forest!!! It totally fits right in!! Another great video!!
Patagonia is an outdoor brand like Northface. It got kinda trendy in Norcal though. I don't know what Trish was drinking, but I can guess it was sparkling water.
Great video! We've been to Crescent City, Grants Pass, our son lives in Central Point. Love to stay in Brookings when we visit the coast there. Looking forward to things more north. We haven't done that yet. Planning to travel with them during the summer next year.
Wow, simply amazing! Thanks for sharing as it's reminded me there is more to see in this life with your family. Time to start considering a RV adventure! 😍👍
We all know what Heading to Grants Pass means, Oregon bound wahoo haha. We all are dying to see the adventures in our state of Oregon and hope your family loves it as much as we do :-)
Love this video you guys! Great editing! Love the $100 bill interaction! Can't wait to see what you'll be doing in Bend, that's where I'm from! Have a great day!
Another stellar video👍🏻. I always feel like I've been on a mini vacay after watching your incredible videos so thanks for taking me along 🤗. I'm so bummed that I'm going to miss the Vancouver meet up but enjoy my city
First off, I was looking for answers and found you, it's by far the greatest channel around about Rving, really a must see + your familly is outsanding. keep up and as others already asked, make longer videos :) I've seen some of them now, especially the '' day 1'' where you show your house, I was "" oh my.."" from such a big house to a ....28" TT, how small it must feels , i know that it was more a compromise between truck towing and "ready to go like Now!" kind of choice and of course a financial long term plan, you have kids etc.. my question is : You've been travelling for a while, don't you ever think on going bigger, like 30+" or 5 wheels to have more space and may be enjoy it more, it's look like you'll do it for a few more years ahaha. We are going to be full time, so, i'm on the way to buy a 35'' TT with an HD truck and we are just a couple :D
Wow, nice summary. You're right. The other reason we started conservative with the trailer is we never RV'd before this trip. So if we didn't like it or "season 1" didn't go as well... I didn't want to lose money on bigger equipment. But now that we know we love RVing, we're looking at a 35' toy hauler & F250. I'd prefer to be 35' overall, but that would be a 32' 5er and those models don't accommodate 5 beds and have a place to work. 35' is my max based on how we travel - no reservations. Our next rig will also have a cummins on-board gen. Hope that helps.
thank you for your answer, it does help, of course, more than you probably think, since we will travel the same way, (I was just thinking if we didn't go overboard with the size), wish you the best on your future upgrading. as I have already said, keep up on, upload your gorgeous videos, we can't wait for your next adventure. this iwill be our next home www.highlandridgerv.com/products/2018/roamer/travel-trailers/RT323RLS Philippe & stephanie
I like the early release to the KYD Insiders. Easy way to know where the comments are coming from. I'll try do this more. We're starting the editing process earlier in the week to make better use of our time. Things are buys in BC. Thanks!
I just felt like I had to respond to this video… I have been watching your videos for a while and I am truly changed by some of them… I have to say this one was very special for me because I am incredibly impressed with the quality of the video the transitions the drone images the music the feeling… it's very difficult to explain but its such a well-constructed beautiful inspiring piece of work-and I wanted to say thank you. I'm inspired by the love that is palpable amongst your family members and the fact that you are traveling in an RV together without killing each-other is truly an accomplishment. For me it's not so serious… for me it's just myself and a very large house cat… I dream of being able to do what you do…
Thanks Jeremy. Such wonderful comments on this video. Amazing. Every once in a while we produce a video that get comments like this that reminds us why we go through so much effort. Oddly enough, the videos that make the biggest impact, I'm usually a bit unsure about :) Thanks for letting us know. You mentioned dreaming of doing this. Remember that we become what we think about most... there are over 100 podcast episodes of similar stories. The stories helped us accomplish this.
Awesome footage and information. I am trying to learn how to create a video and you my friend have mastered it! It is a lot to learn and do. I am from east Tennessee where ferns grow. I didn't know fern canyon existed. Thank you
Tobias was the name given to me by my mother. It was a "biblical" name but apparently it's not in all translations of the bible. I'm the first in my family to have it and likely the last to have it. I normally go by Toby.
Thanks Miranda! Appreciate the comment.
One of the reasons i like watching your channel is you give us good ideas on places to go and things to do. Because of cancer we are a bit more limited in what we can do now, but our adventures together have never been better. And that in part is because of you and others like you sharing their journeys. And we can not thank you enough for sharing.
Thanks for joining us! Appreciate your comment.
Beautiful song during the redwoods walk in the Titans. They're so old and majestic, and that song was perfect.
Caleb just talks to anyone. He's probably had more conversations with people on the trip that you just met along the way than he has as home with his friends. He will have no problem talking to girls when he's older!
Love the video, Keep it up guys :)

Agreed.....some of the best TV I can find right now!
Today is year 2024, I love to see your guys as littles!! What a treasure y’all have with these videos. 💕
I've gone back to many of the videos. The editing and videography of this series may still be your finest.
Wow!!!!!!! Marc, seriously the way you edited the part through the redwoods, BRAVO!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks Lori!
Finally.... Nice to see that someone knows how to properly pour a glass of wine!
Family, the videography from the Grove of the Giants was fabulous! The mixture of video and the music was spectacular. Thank you for the another magnificent look at another part of our great country. One day soon, my family will be following the trails you and your family have shown us. Thank you again!
Yeah, I've got to say, Marc. This is my all time favorite video of yours. The Redwood Titans segment was so awesome and cinematic.. GREAT job!
Geez. Thanks!
Marc, your cinematography of Fern Canyon brought tears to my eyes. Thank you.
I lived in Sonoma County for 10 years and every vacation I headed for the coast, could never get enough of it!
Grants Pass is amazing. I was only 15 when I was there but I remember it was really beautiful. Can't wait for that video. Just halfway through this video and already know I'll be watching it again with Google maps open pinpointing all these dreamy spots for our upcoming trip up the west coast! TY!
It was great!
Hands down the best filmography, editing and music selection of anyone out there doing travel vlogs. You rock and keep getting better. Safe travels!
Thanks Karla.
The music playing at the 15 minute mark with the shots of the woods gave me chills and almost made me cry. I'm a sentimental fool. Lol. It was beautifully done. One day I will travel like you guys. My partner and I just need a way to make money on the road.

Good comment Gary. Yes, window open and close quickly, but I'm sure you'll make it happen. Where is Columbia Falls?
Hanson's Hardware right on the highway. Was that you?
Loving your musical selections...instant peace and good feels!😏❤
Great video and incredible sites. Great info all around. However, it's the family that keeps me watching Marc is very knowledgeable and just makes you feel like you are there with them (sometimes I do feel like a third wheel) Trish is sweet, beautiful and that girl pours with a heavy hand. Yeah, we always point out areas that are dog friendly to help our our subscribers. RV life with dogs is great.
AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING!!!!!! Marc, the cinematography is excellent.... Your two boys are a crack up...
Thanks Eric. Did you see the two boys on the Fern hike pointing at the camera? Even when they're doing a bear grills impersonation... when you add some slow motion and add music, no one knows!
yes it was hilarious.
This is so beautiful guys! I drove from Phoenix to Seattle a few times and love this drive. But your drone shots are something else... Thank you for motivating me to take another drive up there! Spectacular! Thank you! Best, Sasha
Fern Canyon is the best spot to stop . thanks for sharing...and beautiful camera work...
What a fantastic video. Your videos are fine. Like Goldilocks...just right. I like that not all the same length. You do a good job of editing and knowing which stops or vids need those extra times. Amazing footage. We lived in Phoenix up until we left in 2004. Loved living there and so much to see. Never got to go see the Redwoods so thank you for this.
Awesomeness! Do I ever love your videos. Sound, footage, music quality...all excellent and right on point! Thank you!
:)
I love the set up for the dogs beds. I am playing catch up with your videos. Awesome video! We visited all those places and had a great time. You guys need a TV show!
It is not very common to hear Carson participate or intervene but when he does, he always hits the mark.
Thanks for another excellent look around at some super beautiful places.
Marc, your attitude and hilarity were over the top in this one!
Cheers
Great video Marc! We are even more excited about our northern California tour next year after seeing this. Thanks again, looking forward to your next one. Absolutely agree on the longer videos.
Might be my most favorite video of yours yet. Genuine joy on your faces!
This video was a true cinematic experience!

my motto has always been, best plan is no plan, you can't be disappointed
Another awesome, enjoyable, perfect video. I know you must spent so much time getting everything just right but you can see and hear it. I just made a mini movie for a celebration of life and I know the amount of time spent editing can be like hours of time for a few minutes of good video. Thanks again for all the work and effort. Thanks Julie. Those are hard videos to edit. Yeah, it take some time. Just under 1 hour per min.

You never disappoint!! Amazing video again you guys!! I think this one, my favourite parts have got to be the "31 classic limited" and the "hundred dollar bill". Really like the dogs day bed haha. Also great job to Carson on vlogging!!
I went all the way outside the rig so he could show the "limited". Lol. Thanks Dean!
Outstanding video. The drone is the only way to capture the coast line. Amazing. 👏🏻 Good job. Carson you should Vlog more often. 👍
Thanks Patty. I'll tell him you said that....
I love you 3 year old vlogs. You may have called them year 3 or something like that KEEP YOUR DAYDREAM!!!
Thanks Ruthann. We're very luck to get to share the adventure with so many people! Thanks for the comment.
You have just made me homesick, for No, Ca
Excellent video! You can really tell you guys love the adventure! Great family too! God Bless!
I waited a while to watch season 3, so I could BINGE it! Awesome job with this season so far. Love Love Love.
Lol. Looking back... there was SO much!
Best video yet! Amazing footage great job.
Great video, powerful music. Had to laugh out loud several times. Can't imagine the video is 20 minutes long, was over so quickly. Great job! Absolutely awesome shots!
Sweet!
I'm number 400! Woo-hoo! This video was Amazing!! Love the music you use too! Thank you for sharing your beautiful lives! So beautiful!
Lol. Thanks Sharon!
Another great video. Thanks for all the info. I'm compounding my list of must sees for when we make the West Coast Journey.
Crescent City is one place I think about often as a summer destination because of the average temperature there. Nice work.
Commenting at min 4:27...You didn't mention Patrick's Point so....If you get this way again, check it out! Tons of trails, beautiful natural landscape and some historical features. Love your videos!
The air you breath in the ancient forests is revitalizing.
I just put the grove of titans on my list of must see places, thanks!
Check out the Boy scout trail. That was a good one too.
U ..folks make it so enjoyable. .truly the best family u tube show...thanks ✌💖🎼🎶🎵
Such great comments. Thanks!
OMG,,, what great cinematography scenes and the music was perfect!
Thanks Rob
What great memories you and your family are creating!!! Great video; love all your videos but this is my favorite.
Love watching your videos. They are done so well. The music is perfect, and it's just very relaxing to follow along with you all.
Thanks Abbas
Great video! We've been to Crescent City, Grants Pass, our son lives in Central Point. Love to stay in Brookings when we visit the coast there. Looking forward to things more north. We haven't done that yet. Planning to travel with them during the summer next year.
You guys crack me up! Hilarious and love watching your videos! And love Fern Canyon! So beautiful!
Wow I got to say LOOOOOOVVVVEEE the slow mo shots in the forest and so good on the music pic too!!! A+++
Wow, simply amazing! Thanks for sharing as it's reminded me there is more to see in this life with your family. Time to start considering a RV adventure! 😍👍

We all know what Heading to Grants Pass means, Oregon bound wahoo haha. We all are dying to see the adventures in our state of Oregon and hope your family loves it as much as we do :-)
You got it. The bend episode is going to be long... I'll need an early start on it.
Keep Your Daydream , enjoy your day we can wait. So excited to see it. You are all so awesome and so proud to see your work and share it too :-)

Another stellar video👍🏻. I always feel like I've been on a mini vacay after watching your incredible videos so thanks for taking me along 🤗. I'm so bummed that I'm going to miss the Vancouver meet up but enjoy my city
Oh, you can't make it! Bummer. Is anyone going?? I better check fbook :)
First off, I was looking for answers and found you, it's by far the greatest channel around about Rving, really a must see + your familly is outsanding. keep up and as others already asked, make longer videos :)
I've seen some of them now, especially the '' day 1'' where you show your house, I was "" oh my.."" from such a big house to a ....28" TT, how small it must feels , i know that it was more a compromise between truck towing and "ready to go like Now!" kind of choice and of course a financial long term plan, you have kids etc..
my question is : You've been travelling for a while, don't you ever think on going bigger, like 30+" or 5 wheels to have more space and may be enjoy it more, it's look like you'll do it for a few more years ahaha.
Hope that helps.
thank you for your answer, it does help, of course, more than you probably think, since we will travel the same way, (I was just thinking if we didn't go overboard with the size), wish you the best on your future upgrading.
as I have already said, keep up on, upload your gorgeous videos, we can't wait for your next adventure.
this iwill be our next home www.highlandridgerv.com/products/2018/roamer/travel-trailers/RT323RLS

Your videos keep getting better and better. Thank you for sharing your adventure with us. We love you.
I like the early release to the KYD Insiders. Easy way to know where the comments are coming from. I'll try do this more. We're starting the editing process earlier in the week to make better use of our time. Things are buys in BC. Thanks!
Tricia, thanks for making the videos so interesting. You have a nice spunky charm.
You are a natural with all aspects of taking ,editing movies I agree need to be longer
Thanks. Okay... if I keep it relevant, I'll go longer. I think I have enough content in Bend. Let's see how it goes :)
Love the trees
Thank you
Love that area, I was born in Sweet Home, OR. Love the summers!
Looking forward to hearing how to stay connected, gadgets to help with cell phone coverage and wifi!
It's coming. Have some solar and safety video coming out first, but it's on the list!
Awesome job! Great video editing, always a joy to watch your show!
Is Tobias an alias name of a family member... or coincidence?
Tobias was the name given to me by my mother. It was a "biblical" name but apparently it's not in all translations of the bible. I'm the first in my family to have it and likely the last to have it. I normally go by Toby.
