Here they are - he just plays the top 3 strings, and I think is capo 2 (edit: capo 1?) on standard tuning. The chords are ordered E-A-D-G-B-E (left to right = top string to bottom string). Verse: D: 5-5-4-x-x-x F#maj: 2-1-2-x-x-x Bm: 2-2-0-x-x-x C: 2-3-0-x-x-x G: 3-2-0-x-x-x D/F#: 2-0-0-x-x-x Em: 0-2-0-x-x-x Amaj: 5-4-5-x-x-x Then repeat, but replace Amaj with Amin Amin: 6-5-5-x-x-x The chorus uses the same chords but rearranges them slightly.
Gustav Lundberg It's like standard tuning, but tuned three tones lower to C# F# B E G# C# (probably, because he doesn't use the last three strings) with capo on 4th fret. You can also play it in standard tuning with capo on 1st fret.
@@gavion6 sorry for a reply so long after you wrote this, but any idea why he would do this instead of putting it in standard tuning with capo 1? Is there any benefit/change in sound?
@@danielgajdusek3477 I'm not really sure, but maybe it's in order to get the right sound, or it's just because he plays other songs lower, without capo, and this way he doesn't need to retune his guitar
@@danielgajdusek3477 It does change the sound...the strings sound "jankey". I keep 1 acoustic guitar tuned down to C#. Elliott Smith used to do it and Father John Misty will some times do it too.
I am going to fall in love if I keep watching this
Amazing! Brilliant! Andy is my favorite artist ever!🎶❤️
Audio is in fact good. Most importantly this just such a great song, just listen again and again!
One of my favorite songs
the end of the last verse fucks me up everytime
the audio is terrible on this video, but man one of my favorite songs by Andy for sure
I don't know, I kind of like the muffled, spacey sound. Very evocative, really complements this stripped-back version of the song.
Andy you are MY HOMETOWN HERO...Got tics for Foxwarren in June P-town...LOVE IT !
Love this track
How on earth can someone dislike this? I don't get it
the one dislike is the convenience store robber
Probably because the audio is atrocious, but still doesn’t deserve a dislike, someone needs to learn to manage the gain
Today I realized that Andy used the exact same chord progression as “mr Bojangles” whether coincidentally or homage
Anyone know what guitar Andy's playing here? I can't read it from the headstock (came close at 3:39, but its too blurry!!)
+dmp108 It looks like a Martin 1930 2-17, but I am not certain haha.
I believe it's just a Martin 000-15M without the pickguard. It's not a 1930 2-17, I believe this was a much smaller body than the one Andy is playing.
Yeah you are definitely correct, good observation!
Actually, I think it's a Sigma knock off - Sigma 000-15S
Little late to this party, but I'm almost positive that's a Martin 000-15SM, not a Sigma.
Hows are they getting that vocal sound?
little verb...
I wish I could find some accurate chords for this song.
hey someone posted a pretty spot on tab there^^
Naturally Healthy Looking where?

capo on 1 i believe
thanks!
His voice makes me think of an old husky
Does anyone know how his guitar is tuned?

someone knows which pick up is that?
Edoardo Partipilo he is playing an old harmony with an old pickup
It's not an old pickup - it's an L.R. Baggs. I used to have one.
greenroomdude its also a martin
