This was back in 2013/2014 as his character, Elliott "Starchild" Gilbert. He was in 5 episodes, and just killed it! He still did this cover in October 2021 in Las Vegas at the Venetian where he had a six-night mini residency and it was still awesome! BTW, that's Demi Lovato on the guitar!
Those Vegas shows were cool. Lots of velvet and lots of different ones he hadn’t done live or not done for a while.

That's what I was thinking. He does remind me of David Bowie, rockstar and actor from Labrynith. He is very theatrical for a reason. Very entertaining and powerful voice. There is definitely something in him that makes him sing with love joy and passion. It comes out when he hits the high notes. His high notes sound awesome it is not screaming.

How you never heard this song? Lol!!! Funny thing, Lady Gaga wrote the song "Fever" on Adam's first album, For Your Entertainment, and she was with Adam in the studio when he recorded it. You can hear Lady Gaga's voice at the beginning of the studio version.
And I love how Adam did the that strutting walk in the scene. It was like watching Adam do a concert to see him on Glee. He should have had a lot more screen team on the show. He originally auditioned for a part on the role when they were initially casting, and they said that he was "too old".

I never really got into Glee on a steady basis until Adam started - and when his last episode finished, so did my viewership of Glee. He said in a promo interview for his appearances that he had auditioned for the male lead before Idol and didn't get it. Imagine if he had, he wouldn't have been on Idol and we wouldn't have had all this deliciousness over the past dozen years. When he got offered the guest spot on Glee, he didn't have to audition. He was worried if he could do it.
I heard tell that "swinging from the chandelier" was Adam's idea. There were many songs he did with other cast members, some featuring him more than others. Here are links to three of the songs he did as duets:

I wrote a pilot for a TV show that is for people (millennials and their parents) who outgrew GLEE! One of the main characters would be Adam (in my dreams) fronting and being the emcee in a wedding band. I've been submitting the script for years and in the process, improving it.
