If nothing else, that certainly demonstrates the appalling state of repair of some of our roads

I would hate to have a spinal injury in the back of that ambulance, with the current state of our roads.

@@johntyrrell6591 Confirmed spinal and they will be driving very differently. Any patient on board and ride quality becomes a higher consideration than crew responding.

Drivers in videos 1 and 3 - by and large - pretty good at realising what was going on and getting out of the way in good time. Video 2 - the centre of Reading - hopeless bunch!

Exactly. People can hear round corners but they can't see round them.

Wont dont our emergency vehicles have a varying loudness. Max speed gives max sound, when in slower od standing it traffic it gives off a lower sound.

What Brit had thought it would be a good idea to put concrete islands and poles in the center of the roads when that country already has ridiculously narrow roads to begin with , people seriously don't use their brains when designing stuff the vehicles there especially large vehicles have an incredibly hard time navigating because of the obstacles.

Probably someone who understands that drivers are not the only people that need to use our roads. Central refuges help people cross the road, prevent drivers from cutting across junctions at high speed or overtaking traffic near junctions, and any decent LGV driver shouldn't have a problem with them if they are any good at their job.

I'm guessing you didn't use your brain when making this comment? It allows placement of important signage and gives crossing points for pedestrians.
Each lane will be a minimum of 3.65m regardless of what is in the middle. Is is more than enough for any vehicle.
