Been a minute since I've watched this channel for some reason (because I do love it) and was not expecting shirts to come off within the first few seconds lmao
The first painting was way better than the second. Now you need to figure out why. I know you know why. A water brush is a painting tool where the pen is a drawing tool. Right tool, wrong medium or wrong tool, right medium. That was an amazing learning experience for me to watch that. Great job Peter!
Vivian’s photos are beautiful! Amazing artist. The real deal. Thanks for mentioning her; not many people know. I like the earthy tones in your watercolors. ✨🧚✨
I love when you use watercolor medium! They’re by far my favorite videos of yours, even going years back. I know they’re not your favorite but it’s a nice change every once in a while.
Hullo Peter, I have tried to find better descriptions for plastics and so many "Micro" plastics are not they are "Macro" sized! so to truly be micro is to be only viewed under a microscope! yet so many plastics that are NOT good are all sizes! Re: microplastics, as a biologist I find sci comm so painful I can't be arsed looking it up right now. I suspect there is a certain amount of conflation of the potential (yes, cumulative) health risks of some plastics with the environmental problem with microplastics. "Plastic" is a coverall term for a lot of different polymers, which makes it confusing for the layperson. I feel comfortable assuming it's overstated, but it's good practice not to reuse disposable plastic bottles for too long and certainly not microwave thin plastics. By vibe, I'm not terribly concerned about ingesting microplastics but do try to mitigate environmental impacts. One of our chemistry lecturers did express actual concern about some of the potentially dodgy plastics, but I can't be arsed researching it properly so basically try not to use cheap soft plastics and certainly don't heat food in them. Heat is absolutely an issue for testes, but it would require a LOT of sitting hot things on your lap to make you sterile!

I agree with you on people’s ambition and motivation. If we want to do something, we WILL find a way, no excuses. And, I’m familiar with photographer Vivian Maier. Her work is amazing. I’m glad that there is a project to unearth and share her work with the public. But I didn’t realize she hoarded. Poor thing, she must have been struggling with some sort of past trauma and felt loss.

First, I enjoy your videos very much and always look forward to seeing them. I have the Derwent sets of paints and pencils called Graphatint. Love them. Speaking of microplastics in this vid, If you wear polyester clothing, you are being inundated with microplastics as polyester is just that, plastic. I've tried to eliminate it from my clothing and buy mostly cotton or sometimes linen. Keep making your videos your way Peter, they are the best.
I drink out of a glass water bottle. It doesn't leave my house and lives in an insulated case. the water is delicious! I also have plastic ones. Those are for adventures 😊
Peter even if you cook the food in a jar it still has the plastics because they are like shavings/chunkies from the construction and cutting of the plastic ware. So really anything that comes in contact with plastic can get lil micro plastic on it. And im not worried because I gotta eat. and I'm already worried about other stuff like all that tin foil I ate in high school for lunch money.
I used to take a LOT of photos. Not 140,000, but my thought was I could take a 100 photos and two would be good. I wonder how many of hers were AMAZING! After taking that many she probably had a lot, but what percentage?
Not sure about the percentage, I wondered that too. Not very many people (if any) have looked at all her photos, partly because there’s so many and partly because the collection is so fragmented after being auctioned off.
Hey Peter, just getting into graphite and charcoal drawing, was wondering if you could get me some tips on doing different textures like grass, fur, ect. Love the content

Hi Peter about the microplastics- you mentioned we need to redefine this but I think they have because when I was in college my professors told me that scientists specifically wanted to include those nurdles you mentioned so I think that is why the number is 5mm now. Also I did a science trip where I literally pulled microplastics out of the middle of the ocean and most of the bits I found were much smaller than that, closer to 1 or 2mm, or little strands, but of course they can be even smaller that's just the maximum
