Most important part of Improv: saying yes to your partner(s). An RPG is improv, with specific rules to it. That's what makes it fun to watch the Provokers. You all pretty much say yes to the things everyone describes. Which is great fun, like the dwarves outdoing each other last session.
I want you guys to know how inspirational you all make me feel. It makes me want to write my own characters again, it makes me want to play, when I haven't wanted that for about a year now. Every single one of you are my heroes.
You can't understand why the Provokers are so popular? Please, it's very simple, so allow me to explain: you are awesome. The content of your videos is awesome. The game's narrative is rich, the characters compelling, and that alone would be enough to justify your viewership. But add to that the fact that the people watching play (or want to play) D&D, and I think you've found the secret ingredient for your success. Players and DMs alike are, in my opinion, watching because we can lean a lot, just from seeing you play the game, whether that's picking up roleplaying ideas, strategies for certain types of encounters, or tips about how to run better games, that's all really valuable. Individually, each of you is bad-ass; but when you combine your powers you achieve heretofore untold feats of bad-assed'ness. And we watch (in part at least), because watching the way you guys interact inspires us to become a bit more bad-ass too.
Using tips from watching you guys I was able to run my best combat to date yesterday, the party of lvl 3 characters took down a Wolfwere and his pack. I was standing, using facial expressions body language and tons of descriptors. My players totally feed of my energy and stepped up and contributed to a great experience.
Oh Tymora, I love you guys so much. I need my Provokers fix haha. I DM a group and I've put stories of the Provokers in my story as books in a library. You've given me so many ideas and I thank you all so much. You are amazing at everything you do here. I pray I can, one day, be half as good of a DM as you, Matt.
Also, something to say to +BeABetterGameMaster. I am a young actor and so I love it when you just become Dice. It reminds me of what sometimes happens to me when I get really into my character and basically become him. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one.
I just recently found you guys, starting with Nate's character creation tutorial. It amazes me you guys were so stoked by 50 live viewers because to me you guys deserve thousands upon thousands of views. You guys are truly a all star cast of role players. Can't wait to finish this campaign (hopefully) before you start your next one.
I LOVED the intermission on "Decide what YOU would do as your character, and then look at the numbers." What a great pearl of wisdom! The whole failure vs. victories was poignant as well. Fantastic gaming and advice guys!
I've jumped into these episodes a little late, but I am really enjoying the campaign. I recently started my first campaign and I have gotten several ideas from your dungeon/world crafting. Thanks for posting this!
I gotta say that you guys are the reason I got back into D&D and even got to teach some friends by DMing for the first time. Thanks Matt! I hope one day to have the honor of playing in one of your games.
I was going to wait until I was up to date with the sessions before commenting, but I'm now halfway through 5 and it is so refreshing and entertaining to see a group with real chemistry led by a slick, confident and imaginative DM. Not looking forward to the end of my Provoker binge!
Watchiung the game with you guys reminded me so much of our old Mutants&Mastermind games! Taking time to explain your action in a colourful way really improves any game! Would love to see you guys play a modern setting for next year! Really loving your stuff! Love Barkers performance! Greetings from Germany!
I just want to thank you all for giving me huge advice for my players. I like the idea that players should figure out what they wanna do then and then look at character sheets. I think this is something a lot of new players and DM's such as myself should try and do. not only to benefit the player but the characters themselves .
+AFistfulOfDice I know, and i do really respect him (and the others too, they are great roleplayers and i learn a lot from them) for that, but it still is kinda creepy, like he is eating your soul through the screen.
I am just getting into d&d v5 and found this to be so inspiring, you guys have made me so excited to get into game. The role playing you guys do is amazing can't wait to see what happens next with the Provockers session.
Love these vids! Although I can´t watch them live ( due to time differences) I watch them as fast as i can . You guys make such a great team!!!! keep it up!! TFS!
Dwarven traitors are the best. No one expects a chaotic act such as treason from a dwarf. That's why I loved the Ambershards from Penny Arcade's podcasts :)
So, came form finishing up to date season 2 episodes (awesome and just full of emotion) and I remembered these awesome looking dice and I just needed to find out what were they. You know, name, brand, that stuff. So, for anyone who was wondering and biting their nails off, like me, thinking what are those dice that Barker uses here you go...Candlekeep dice set, from Confrontation at Candlekeep. Just like he said they are form the 2013 Gencon event. Man! I am so relived that I found them, sadly can't by them cuz they are so rear that either they are soled out or are just a collection piece. Still, they are nice looking dice, thumbs up. Maybe I'll try and recreate them and 3d print them...hmmmm
This was great, again shame I missed it but I was actually enjoying my own dnd session yesterday playing 3.5 with some friends from uni. I loved the intro, it was clever silly and fun, though I do think that Jake Gyllenhaal would make the best Dice, pull on some of that classic subtly instability from Donnie Darko.
really enjoyed the break Q&A, getting ready to start my first 5e game and most of my players i know they want to RP more but they just need a little push and this really helped me think about how i explain the game to them and that will foster more RPing
watching you guys inspire so much to start getting into it. I been trying to find a group thru the one shot group but havent had any luck yet. Your dwarf ranger Nod had me laughing. Looking forward to the next provokers.
I'm loving how you guys are playing the game, it's a delight to watch you all roleplay and specialy how Matt is DMing (as it was brought up, "yes" comes out so easily). I was wondering if there is a place I could find like-minded people to play with? If anyone is playing their games inspired by The Provokers and has room for one more? Also, I'll be looking to try out DMing as this new year is coming up (new year resolution) and would feel less intimidated to play with friendly players like The Provokers ;D
whatever3554 There are lots of places online to find games, but I would suggest you check out the Tabletop RPG One Shot Group on Facebook. Great bunch of players and GMs over there.
aFistfulofDice Thank you, that will help me greatly! I've been lurking reddit, MeetUp and Google Hangout groups but not much luck yet. I will try this group.
I liked that you "cast" you're PC's, I have been doing that for years with the AD&D group I play with until I started doing some custom figures and just some figures I found of from toy stores and EBAY of our PC's and now NPC's Now I use the figures and do a photo comic recap
You know, that advice on roleplaying in the middle that you guys did, when Tim disappeared? You should really consider chopping that into a short video. And maybe you guys should consider doing some sort of round table. Like in the style of Source Fed's Table Talk.
I found the dialog on DM perspectives and how the Provoker members views on gameplay in terms of role vs mechanics (min/max) was intersting. I also think that if more DM's with the skillset to encourage/influence their players "would actually DM" games with those less-roleplay-oriented players" then that would be an exemplary implementation of the work. Less talk and more action in terms of contribution to the game. I agree with many points of what the Provoker group say. Barker and Matt, in particular, are very good and offer excellent descriptive and instructional dialog that I believe speaks/translates to most gamers well. Since it's unreasonable to expect them to DM enough games with new players (on a consistently changing venue) then the U-tube experience is as close as many players may actually get to a quality game with a quality DM. I hope the community is improving in this respect....but I fear that the min/max and power-gamers are more frequent. My experience suggests that this is the case in "online play" so far. Though I also see exceptional role play at times...it isn't as prolific as I wish it could be in my online gaming experience. Still, as an avid player/DM I continue to check out videos, "lurk" in LIVE online games and partake of online games when my schedule and available options present themselves. This series is a good game to watch for "role play content" and I've been pleased with the level of each members contribution thus far. The Provokers are entertaining, informative and simply fun to watch. Worth the price of admission in terms of my own personal time spent to view and explore someone else's game.
At 33, I'm new to this rpg thing, got turned on to roll20 cause it's hard for me to schedule an IRL session, watched a few podcast like Table Topping to get pointers and confidence to DM my own in the future, came across your channel, watched the "Provokers Session" and I got to say you're sessions are as entertaining as Acquisition Incorporated, I only hope my sessions turn out with players as fun as yours, real role playing like the game suggest not this meta crap I see on other channels, please keep up the good quality work not only you but the other provokers too, I wouldn't be surprised to see you guys do a session at a convention, I would love to watch with a live audience like AI at PAX
One of the things I like about your games (on a long list) is that you guys are not swearing casually all the time. I can't feel comfortable as a Dad letting my kids watch Acquisitions Inc. because they are "adults using adult language"--which they do frequently. I appreciate very much that you guys role-play without the R-rating. :) Thanks so much. I have been wanting to let my kids see how skilled players can play the game without exposing them to the wrong stuff. Thanks so much guys!
ok I am watching this 2 1/2 years after this was posted but I have to say Barker has a great singing voice, he might want to think about playing a singing bard in the future
I think you get so many views on this because it feels more like an improve acting group then a D&D game and so many of use want our games to be half as good
1:54:40 what if they are looking down to check if they know a certain spell or to find its page reference(in case it doesn't work how they think it does)
I want to learn how to play from you guys! Someone tried teaching me before but it didn't go well because of reasons. I'm so invested in what's happening, it's better than most of the crap on tv these days.
I just found your channel and got done watching this series. I am as well hoping to play with a few people. Though i'm on roll20 so it is a little harder to get started but I do have some experience with d&d 3.5 but not any others.
I don't know if this has ever been mentioned, Peter Jackson said early on in pre production for LOTR when Tom Bombadil was still in the film, they were considering Robin Williams, how cool would that have been?, this info came out after his passing
I was watching this last night and I came up with about 3 actors for each of you [ including the might DM Click! ] Durgen [ Tim ]: 1. Mike Addy 2. Kevin James 3. Tom Hardy [ Look up Tom Hardy with a beard. ] Dice [ Barker ]: 1. Alan Tudyk [ There is no other option. If he grows his beard he has in Tucker and Dale vs. Evil...] 2. Tom Hiddleston 3. Doug Jones [ Usually a creature character actor, but he'd give a unique quirk to Dice ] Aerdon [ Nate ]: 1. Troy Baker [ Typically a voice actor for video games, but long hair + gruff attitude = win ] 2. Jared Leto [ Long hair, ages like an elf, yeah I see that as a win. ] 3. Christian Bale Brasswick [ Juce ]: 1. Jeff Bridges 2. John Goodman 3. Zach Galifianakis DM Click [ Matt ]: [ These are in no way intended to earn Inspiration from my live table DM... ] 1. John Hurt 2. Keifer Sutherland 3. Jeremy Irons Enjoyed this week guys! Can't wait to watch the next session!
I think Wizards deliberately held up delivery to Amazon to give Local Gaming Shops a chance...I didn't preorder, but got a copy at my LGS last Sunday. Hang in there! It's definitely worth the wait!
The Provokers, as played by The Expendables (all movies): Duergan (I never spell that right) - Sylvester Stallone Brasswick - Stone Cold Steve Austin Aerdon - Jason Statham Dice - Jet Li MIgrog - Mickey Rourke (well THAT was convenient) Dagrim Bolt-Thrower - Randy Couture Caldor - Dolph Lundgren Rhiann - Charisma Carpenter Rorge - Terry Crews Rogue Convoker - Bruce Willis Matt Click - tossup between Harrison Ford and Wesley Snipes
Loving the series, guys! I've watched them back-to-back (not live) and I'm halfway through this one. So far...I'm a little puzzled by Migrog. He got a fantastic, awe-inspiring build up from the beginning. All descriptions suggested that he was a hulking, towering abomination. Yet...he seemed really, really pathetic for all the build up. I wonder why he doesn't get two attacks with that tree trunk of his (like a normal Hill Giant)? Seems like he did about 10 damage the whole battle before he ran away! I can only assume that Matt gimped him so he didn't redecorate the temple with the Provokers' innards. Not willing to splat these guys, Matt? Other than that, nicely played, lads! I particularly loved the epic battle in part 4 with the lightning bazookas. Surprised no one tried to "cross the streams", though!
TheCyanWisp Migrog didn't get two attacks because I was also planning on the Provokers fighting the Earth Elemental. But Dice and Deurgen had quick thinking with the elemental gem and used that to pretty much take the Earth Elemental out of the fight. Migrog had also been involved in the battle out in the city and wasn't at full HP. From there, it just came down to rolls. I don't pull punches as a DM (Deurgen has been dropped down to 0 HP twice so far in this campaign). Thanks for asking!
TheCyanWisp Thanks man! I like to present a challenge without bowling the players over completely. It would have been a significantly more difficult encounter with the Earth Elemental, but the Provokers were crafty and took that enemy out of the fight.
It is too bad i can never watch these live, otherwise i would definitely watch every time. Btw, why did Barker not choose Emma Wattson as Dice? Anyway, these videos are great and help me out a lot, please keep doing these and see you in the next vid!
I wish I could inspire my group to treat combat the way that you all do, instead of just calling out numbers. Any tips on how, as a DM, I could do that?
What do you guys think; should players bring props to a tabletop session? For, like, my witch (he's a kind of occult-minded gypsy cliniclown) I was thinking of bringing my skull-shaped flask with me and buy two handpuppets which he uses as the implements for his spells to my games. I think that that might intimidate other players, perhaps, for the PFS sessions. I'd be able to picture more what my character's like and tease them into describing things of their own, but perhaps I should rely more on words than props? Or should I build it up with verbal description and just keep these three props in a bag nearby so I can pull them out?
Alderick van Klaveren I've used props in the past. I had an eyepatch for a one-eyed archer I was playing, and a flask for an alcoholic paladin. At some point, I sort of forget about the props, but it's fun and helps you get into character!
You may find this odd but I am have been told my writing style is mythic. Most of my modules and best characters are made taking a little thing a little known deity, an odd magic item, or in the case of a module finding a monster to base an adventure around. I am even trying to find a editor/co-author to help pitch for pathfinder society. I am extremely dyslexic and unable to get the proper grammar and presentation structure perfect like they want. My modules are witty fun and interesting taking rarely used monsters and making the stars of the show. Also much like your saving privet ryan moments in this I take different settings and bring them in. I have one that is a western "Destination Damnation', a murder mystery "To To's Revenge", political intrigue "The Courts a Buzz", a mine rescue with a twist "Spinning Gold", and the unfortunate accident "Benedict's Egg"
Casting "grease?" How about the cast from Grease as...The Provokers!? -Matt Click/Danny Zuko - John Travolta, obviously- No, I'm not serious about this-
First, I thought someone would have had 3 Rangers in the tower shoot the giant from the wall with thundertubes, and then 3 more if those didn't kill him. Then, since the wall chance was missed, I was surprised everyone didn't use thundertubes the first round in the temple.
Most important part of Improv: saying yes to your partner(s). An RPG is improv, with specific rules to it. That's what makes it fun to watch the Provokers. You all pretty much say yes to the things everyone describes. Which is great fun, like the dwarves outdoing each other last session.
That was fun last session trying to outdo Deurgan.
Jonathan Enck Absolutely. Allowing everyone time to shine.
And we watch (in part at least), because watching the way you guys interact inspires us to become a bit more bad-ass too.
alexblueification Thank you. This comment made my day.
Using tips from watching you guys I was able to run my best combat to date yesterday, the party of lvl 3 characters took down a Wolfwere and his pack. I was standing, using facial expressions body language and tons of descriptors. My players totally feed of my energy and stepped up and contributed to a great experience.
That is awesome to hear man!
troy spencer Sounds like a great time!
Always humbling and inspiring to see masters at work!
D20 Plus1 You're too kind, Carl. :)
"He caught that bolt like a pro."
- The best line in the entire thing. Ever.
Hypeman Duergan: "Giants be trippin'!"
It appears that Migrog Oak... Fell. *sunglasses*
Also, "Your 'frozen meat' quota has been met, eh, Dice?"
Provokers as stories in another setting's library?
This is the coolest thing ever.
Wow. That is indeed the coolest thing ever. I hope the stories have happy endings :) Or at least epic endings.
BeABetterGameMaster "For there's a place inside your head, where you can play pretend. Where everybody stays."
Also, something to say to +BeABetterGameMaster. I am a young actor and so I love it when you just become Dice. It reminds me of what sometimes happens to me when I get really into my character and basically become him. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one.

Thanks so much for the thoughtful response, that's so awesome of you guys. I strive to be as good of a gamer as you all are.
Awesome game, guys. I'll watch the rest later. 'Twas nice hanging out.
Thanks for watching Alex!
Alex P. Always good to have you watching, man. I don't think you've missed a session yet!
I gotta say that you guys are the reason I got back into D&D and even got to teach some friends by DMing for the first time. Thanks Matt! I hope one day to have the honor of playing in one of your games.

The first actor that came to my mind for Dice was Edward Norton. XD
Allen Swain Good pick.
+aFistfulofDice XD for somereason my first like,3 tries i read that as "Good prick." XD
Aerdon gutted Migrog like a Tauntaun - "And I thought he smelled bad...on the OUTside...!"
Haha. Great reference. Aerdon got in up to the elbow, man. Yeah, he stinks. :)
I just want to thank you all for giving me huge advice for my players. I like the idea that players should figure out what they wanna do then and then look at character sheets. I think this is something a lot of new players and DM's such as myself should try and do. not only to benefit the player but the characters themselves .
Almost every time Nate talks he does this unnerving deathstare into the camera. Still love it!
McTelmer That's just some awesome physical RP, my friend. Aerdon has an intense gaze, so Nate does likewise when he embodies the character. :)
+AFistfulOfDice I know, and i do really respect him (and the others too, they are great roleplayers and i learn a lot from them) for that, but it still is kinda creepy, like he is eating your soul through the screen.
McTelmer Thanks for the kind words! Aerdon is a pretty intense guy :)
I am just getting into d&d v5 and found this to be so inspiring, you guys have made me so excited to get into game. The role playing you guys do is amazing can't wait to see what happens next with the Provockers session.
Conrado Nathaniel Penales Thanks for the kind words!
Love these vids! Although I can´t watch them live ( due to time differences) I watch them as fast as i can . You guys make such a great team!!!! keep it up!! TFS!
Just joined the stream. Starting from the beginning, love u guys!!
Love you too!
- Dice
Barker, could we get a full version of the Casren song??
LouieGames We love you too!
Provokers, the musical? Make it happen!
I just can't wait for the «Freeze the meat» song!
No worries for Hugh Jackman - a broadway vet (The Boy from Oz), he can still play Aerdon!
Scott Erickson Totally. Hugh Jackman is amazing in musicals!
This series has inspired me to start some loose worldbuilding. Yay and thanks, man. Good videos.
Good job guys. Wanted to find out about the crate, but FINE.. I can wait. :D. Have a good holiday all.
MAN!!! I WISH THAT THE GROUP I PLAY WITH ACTUALLY ROLEPLAYED LIKE THIS!!!
I'd say, Jake is the Water Elemental. Whom starts to cheer you on like the Genie from Alladin.
Dwarven traitors are the best. No one expects a chaotic act such as treason from a dwarf.
That's why I loved the Ambershards from Penny Arcade's podcasts :)
Dwarves are all Lawful aren't they?
-Brasswick
I guess there must be some reverse-Drizzt in the dwarven crowd!
It's like a sports All-Star Game!
That is so kind of you.
Oh man I can't watch these live cuz I live in India but my god I love these! I did pop in when I woke up (at 6:30 AM) and saw 50+ viewers, congrats!
Rahul Bhatnagar Thanks for watching!

Ooooooo. Good choice...
At first I thought Rianne was a dwarf, so even after I realized she was human, I pictured her as a pretty, chunky chick.
These are so awesome, i cant wait to start playing with some of my friends
torazn Gather your friends and roll some dice! Have fun!
I have a friend named Jake who's a fan and right before Jake joined the broadcast I had told him to start watching so idk if it was him or not.
really enjoyed the break Q&A, getting ready to start my first 5e game and most of my players i know they want to RP more but they just need a little push and this really helped me think about how i explain the game to them and that will foster more RPing

Well, I'm super late, but at least I finally get to watch you guys play live!
Nice NPC picks, Matt - how about the rogue Convoker?
you guys are awesome! I found Provokers yesterday and I can't stop watching
Plus the tips are great :D

Ah damn I'm so late. I'll watch the VOD as soon as this is done I suppose.
Would you say that Migrog's actor would be Miggey Rourkefell?
rtyui136 I like it!
I can´t help but seeing John Malkovich as one of the ogres, with a sort of a comb over.
I'm running a Hill Dwarf War Cleric named Dorin Stonehammer! Apparently, Matt and I think alike.
1:54:40 what if they are looking down to check if they know a certain spell or to find its page reference(in case it doesn't work how they think it does)
doombybbr Of course that's fine. It's moreso when people look at their character sheets during non-combat situations.
2:27 - "It's the latest fashion in Stone Rift." LOL
I see you shiver with antici
I want to learn how to play from you guys! Someone tried teaching me before but it didn't go well because of reasons. I'm so invested in what's happening, it's better than most of the crap on tv these days.
I just found your channel and got done watching this series. I am as well hoping to play with a few people. Though i'm on roll20 so it is a little harder to get started but I do have some experience with d&d 3.5 but not any others.
Its bad luck to roll damage before you know it's a hit!
Of The Vast Ocean I always roll attack and damage together. :)
I don't know if this has ever been mentioned, Peter Jackson said early on in pre production for LOTR when Tom Bombadil was still in the film, they were considering Robin Williams, how cool would that have been?, this info came out after his passing
Juce: Who’s Jake?
Jake: It’s Jake, from State Farm.
Juce: What are you wearing “Jake from State Farm?
Jake: uhhh... Khakis??
Wow! This episode is amazing! Those Kings are great role playing! This show is so damn good!
I was watching this last night and I came up with about 3 actors for each of you [ including the might DM Click! ]
Durgen [ Tim ]:
1. Mike Addy
2. Kevin James
3. Tom Hardy [ Look up Tom Hardy with a beard. ]
Dice [ Barker ]:
1. Alan Tudyk [ There is no other option. If he grows his beard he has in Tucker and Dale vs. Evil...]
2. Tom Hiddleston
3. Doug Jones [ Usually a creature character actor, but he'd give a unique quirk to Dice ]
Aerdon [ Nate ]:
1. Troy Baker [ Typically a voice actor for video games, but long hair + gruff attitude = win ]
2. Jared Leto [ Long hair, ages like an elf, yeah I see that as a win. ]
3. Christian Bale
Brasswick [ Juce ]:
1. Jeff Bridges
2. John Goodman
3. Zach Galifianakis
DM Click [ Matt ]: [ These are in no way intended to earn Inspiration from my live table DM... ]
1. John Hurt
2. Keifer Sutherland
3. Jeremy Irons
Enjoyed this week guys! Can't wait to watch the next session!
Chad Knick Great picks!
I can totally dig Matt as John Hurt. :-) 1984 or V for Vendetta, depending on how nice he's being to us. :-P
Wow. Great picks, Chad. Christian Bale definitely crossed my mind in my search. And Troy Baker is amazing! So much great video game acting.
Its not the length that matters, it's how you wear it :)
I kind of imagined a Graveler for the earth elemental from pokemon, you know the evolution of the Geodude? xP
I ordered a dungeon masters guide on Amazon in march and it hasn't arrived yet.
I think Wizards deliberately held up delivery to Amazon to give Local Gaming Shops a chance...I didn't preorder, but got a copy at my LGS last Sunday. Hang in there! It's definitely worth the wait!
stewie17 The DMG is coming out officially on Dec. 9.
aFistfulofDice As Matt says the DMG isn't out until the 9th. Only Wizards Play Stores can get it early. 10 days early to be exact.
Matt Click narrated by Logan Cunningham, who narrated Bastion and Transistor. :D
We lost the epic moment... Damnit!
21:00 Epic speech.
This is so good.
The Provokers, as played by The Expendables (all movies):
Duergan (I never spell that right) - Sylvester Stallone
Brasswick - Stone Cold Steve Austin
Aerdon - Jason Statham
Dice - Jet Li
MIgrog - Mickey Rourke (well THAT was convenient)
Dagrim Bolt-Thrower - Randy Couture
Caldor - Dolph Lundgren
Rhiann - Charisma Carpenter
Rorge - Terry Crews
Rogue Convoker - Bruce Willis
Matt Click - tossup between Harrison Ford and Wesley Snipes
Thanks for asking!
aFistfulofDice Makes sense. You know your players best and I can see why a full strength Migrog might be too much.
Keep 'em coming!
TheCyanWisp Thanks man! I like to present a challenge without bowling the players over completely. It would have been a significantly more difficult encounter with the Earth Elemental, but the Provokers were crafty and took that enemy out of the fight.
I think it was a 3rd edition.the seller is based in Britain.
The box of weapons......... Stonerift........ cough......
You can and a lot of people would probably enjoy that. I would never bring props myself to a game like that.
Alderick van Klaveren I've used props in the past. I had an eyepatch for a one-eyed archer I was playing, and a flask for an alcoholic paladin. At some point, I sort of forget about the props, but it's fun and helps you get into character!
abjure enemy ends when the target takes damage :P but the fight was enjoyable anyways! I have loved watching The Provokers!
Provokers, come forth! (I'm actually on time this week)...
Seeing that there were 2 sessions this month, and being aware of the holidays break, when will you guys do the next session?
Actually, there has only been one session this month. One tonight. The next one will probably be in January...
But we're TOTALLY worth it...
BeABetterGameMaster I am hoping January sometime as well.
Don't forget to take the toenail!
I really should have.
Alderick van Klaveren In the Hangout chat, Juce was saying he didn't want a stinky toe shield. It fits with the character of Brasswick, I think. :)
aFistfulofDice I'd lose my holy symbol that I imagine is on my shield.
Dice: Ethan Hawk as first pick, Keeanu Reeves second.
Aerdon: Andy Whitfield
Brasswick: Zach Galifianakis
Duergen: Ron Pearlman
Matt: James Earl Jones
Durgen forgot: «best this» towards Brasswick
Really good session , you can learn a lot from watching your game for us not veterans of D&D :D
Marko Topalovic Thanks man!
Matt would so be played by Chris O’Donnell ! 100% ! :D
BigDaddyZelos Robin?! "Wax lips are immune to your charms."
but it was not his fault, that Batman&Robin was cr*p (imo)! xD
*cough*Crates!*cough*
Curse your sudden, but inevitable betrayal!
"I think we should call this land YOUR GRAVE!!!"
- Dice.
Bahaha
Casting "grease?" How about the cast from Grease as...The Provokers!?
-Matt Click/Danny Zuko - John Travolta, obviously-
No, I'm not serious about this-
Random gifting to one of the 60 viewers sounds good :)
Mark Dingle I'll have to think on it!
Provokers the movie: Nicolas Cage plays all characters
omigod I would still watch that for the sheer hilariousness.
Dice = Martin Starr
Aerdon = John Francis Daley
Brasswick = Samm Levine
Duergan = James Franco
Matt = Stephen Lea Sheppard
jmrocket03 I love these choices. Freaks forever!
Dice, played by a young christopher walken
Remember to use the magical technique for connecting with rams - repeat after me: Baa-ram-ewe
Barker needs to pay a bard
My favorite class, actually. :-)
LOL I can play about anything but cleric seems to be my calling I am an ordained minister
JCinLapel "Bards are wankers..." LOL --Patrick Roethfuss...
First, I thought someone would have had 3 Rangers in the tower shoot the giant from the wall with thundertubes, and then 3 more if those didn't kill him. Then, since the wall chance was missed, I was surprised everyone didn't use thundertubes the first round in the temple.
Dice = Alan Rickman
Aerdon = Jason Statham
Brasswick = Mel Gibson
Durgan (sp?) = Gerard Butler
Matt = Vin Diesel ;)
Actually, wink is because Vin is a badass DnD player. P.S. I'm FROM New Zealand, so could put in a good word for you guys to Peter Jackson :D
Cool, 2 votes for Jason Statham as Aerdon. :)
Jason Statham was actually one I considered! You guys are good.
Mel Gibson would work well for Brasswick!
-Brasswick
WASD20 Cheers - the secret is I just watch a lot of movies! ;)
