I like the idea that Promixus Caesar respects how humans were able to be dominant for so long and strives to achieve that dominance on the planet, could be a great villain for sure.

I really like the romance of what wes ball said about to start over again that some post apocalyptic genre have then just doom and gloom which is what kingdom of the planet of the apes will have in theaters

Kevin Durand is an amazing actor, saw him in Vikings and in Legion. Listening to him talk about his character and his experience working on this movie was so interesting, and it's funny because he's so chill and friendly but he looks a little creepy even as a human in this interview so imagine how creepy he'll look as a tyrant ape king 😂. Love him, and I can't wait any longer to see this movie!!

The interviews from the cast and crew are amazing to hear. As a Apes fan and a study of film, I am for this next installment after the Caesar trilogy.

Since Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes' Director Wes Ball has taken inspiration from Hayao Miyazaki’s style for directing the Legend of Zelda movie, my hope it has a well established relationship of Link x Princess Zelda’s relationship (where started out at best of friends in the beginning until their journey evolves them into be lovers) and a new iteration of them traveling hyrule together.
Plus, make an original story similar to what the Super Mario Bros Movie has done build by complement and passionate writers, Princess Zelda becomes a great companion to Link, established the Zelda Lore and mythology, other abilities the Master Sword has, provided Ganondorf enough character background ( one where we can all understand the iconic gaming villain’s intentions, how we should hate him and feared of him as the Gerudo King slowly becomes the Demon King), etc

I pretty sure now that Wes will deliver a good a beautiful Zelda adaptation! :) Hyrule will be cool to explore on the big screen!

Lydia must have not seen the original (and better) Apes films compared to the trilogy. Dr. Zira is the strongest female character in this series by far, and the most developed. The reboot Ceasar trilogy features female humans and Apes being nothing more than the mates of their male leads. Keri Russell and reboot Nova did what they could, but they were still under the shadows of male characters because, like Christopher Nolan, Matt Reeves is flat out unable to write for female characters. They're horrible at it.
Meanwhile, the original series handled Zira, Nova, Dr. Branton, Lisa and even Judy of the animated series, all flawlessly. They were very different female characters, but with their own strengths and standout roles that elevated them alongside their male counterparts. Funny how in a time when women weren't given the opportunity to shine like today's cinema, the Planet of the Apes franchise were the ones thinking progressively, whereas the new trilogy treated it's women like 1950s housewives who don't have much to do.
I'm positive that Kingdom will bring us back to how the original Apes films, the TV show and the animated show handled their women. Dr. Zira is the gold standard seeing how she is a top scientist, is equal in her marriage to Roddy's Cornelius, defies the violent, military Gorillas AND the conservative/religious orangutans, she saved Taylor and Brent's asses, including her own son Ceasar. She even defied the modern day humans. I agree with Lydia, this should be the norm. But let's not pretend that the new trilogy did a service to female characters, when it couldn't even get the sci fi, social commentary and creepiness of the original series down. You know...what made POTA such a great franchise? Even the 2001 film understood that, despite coming up a bit short in areas. Kingdom will no doubt be the best Apes film probably since Battle or Conquest. If it goes above and beyond, I'll be glad to say it's the best since the 1968 masterpiece.

I agree that the new trilogy didn't really have any great female characters but it's kind of a reach to call the originals better besides maybe planet of the apes itself.
