Love seeing your videos and you have inspired me to get out this spring and explore mountain ranges near me. I have my bike ready and camping equipment ready for off.
Another awesome video Agnieszka! The views are indeed breathtaking & now I learned something new: the Hoodoos!I will include them when/if I ever get there. Wow, you improvisation chops are now stratosphere level! I am blown away by the tent in a stairwell hack! Bikepacking/ Tourers everywhere will steal that one! Thanks for doing this so I can live it vicariously till I can do it in real time! Patiently waiting for the next post. Roll On! VéloKröte
Yes, the hoodoos were spectacular in person. And I saw more magnificent ones further into my trip. Drying out the tent that day was a challenge as it wasn't warm enough outside and we were a bit stuck. But the stairwell presented an opportunity and one thing I learned on this tour was to leverage opportunities that presented themselves. 😉
Such a beautiful area to ride !! I always like stopping at bike shops out of town, for injoyment not for problems right !! But it's next to look around !! Thanks for the video 📹
Yes! It's a great idea to visit bike shops just to have a chat or for some preventative maintenance. This bike shop was amazing. They gave me a bottle of degreaser for free! I was really thankful for that and completely did not expect that kind of kindness.
Yes! That would be ideal, wouldn't it?! The hoodoos were such a joy to discover. Completely unexpected and so stunning. The video of course didn't capture it.
Chaplin Lake salt flat tour in SK was pretty interesting. Got to see rare birds (Piping Plover) and some strange looking long-legged birds (avocets and stilts). The baby plovers we’re running around our feet. Cute little balls of fluff.
@@WheelsonaBike Even along the highway, it looks like a field of snow. In places a small stream cuts through the salt making salt "canyons" 3 to 5 feet deep. Kinda weird as you expect it to be chilly like a snow canyon yet it's blazing hot.
Which highway are you referencing? Hwy 1? I just checked the map and the lake is not too far off from hwy 1 - maybe the only time I wish I had ridden on hwy 1.
@@WheelsonaBike Yes, highway 1. There's a few small streams that cross under the highway. When I went through with my dad we saw a sign for touring the salt flats. The salt and mineral mining operation have some of their people drive a small touring bus/van with wide open windows into the heart of the salt flats. It's an important birding area (IBA), which is an internationally recognized designation. I forget how much it was for each of us to tour, but I remember it being a good deal. My dad isn't that interested in birds, but he thoroughly enjoyed the tour; and even he was interested in the "funny" looking birds and took quite a few pictures of them. The mining and mineral company regulated the water levels so birds would have the proper amount of water for nesting/feeding regardless of whether it was a dry season or wet season. If I'm back that way again I hope they're still running tours. I have a better camera now and would get some great pictures.
Wow that looks like some fine riding. The cycling infrastructure and the beautiful scenery together looks like heaven. Even the electric fences to give you security while sleeping. Fantastic!
Thank you for watching. I'm not clear on what you're asking. What so you mean by where do I keep my bike when traveling? I was riding my bike, so the bike was with me. When staying over? The bike was with me as well. If you could clarify, I'll be able to provide a better answer. In Banff, I had the bike serviced when I took time off, so the bike was at the mechanic's. If that wasn't the case, I would've taken the bike with me.
Hi, I was in Banff for the summer visiting our daughter and rode on that road the same day and must have passed you! ,at 2 min 19 sec on this video the bloke on the bike with a trailer was Rob he was going to BC to bug out he asked if Europe had been nuked (I live in France) he had a cat in a basket on the front ,a canvas tent with a steel log burner and a weeks worth of food it takes all sorts he was out there so to speak.
Every time I see a new episode I am filled with inspiration.
Thanks for watching and I'm glad you're feeling inspired.
You were in my bicycle route finally! I love Legacy trail so much and went couple of times every year😊
You're lucky to be close by. It's a great trail to ride on.

Awesome video, I love this part in Canada! We traveled part of this stretch in 2020!
It's a lovely stretch for sure and relatively safe.
Merci beaucoup 👍😉❤️
Likewise! Thanks for watching.
If only you could have ridden on a separate bike track everywhere! We ran into the Hoodoos by accident as well :)
Yes! That would be ideal, wouldn't it?! The hoodoos were such a joy to discover. Completely unexpected and so stunning. The video of course didn't capture it.
I wish they had the separated trails on all the highways.
Yes! That would be wonderful.
How about that Bow Valley Parkway eh?!! I love it and can't wait to ride it again this summer!
You're lucky to live close-ish by. I really enjoyed that route. It was a great segue to the Icefields Parkway.

Never heard of it! Another unique place to visit from how you describe it.

The fences made me feel a bit odd. I didn't see any wildlife in Lake Louise. Maybe it was just the weather that kept all the animals away.
awesome adventure !
Thank you.
@@WheelsonaBike you are the female van duzer
Oh... He seems to have WAY more energy than I do. But thank you for the compliment.
another good one. thanks! beautiful country and looks like attractive towns. was that an elk on that person's front yard?
Yes! That was an elk, we have racoons in Toronto, in Banff they have elk. 😉
@@WheelsonaBike I am in central coastal NJ USA. We are overrun with deer in suburbia, but elk on the lawn is a whole 'nother level lol!
Deer are lovely as well. My parents see deer very occasionally and it's always a special sighting.

What a small world! I do remember passing the man with the cat. Someone else had pointed him out before I rode by him. 😉
What are you using to hold your 360 camera to the front of your bike
A Ram mount clamp.
Again why?
Can you elaborate? Why what?
@@WheelsonaBike video is too short.
Ok...
You make them longer and people complain it’s too long… can’t win 🤷
Nope. Can't win. 😉
