Matt said that in early September, 2016 he was in a Best Buy Store and they were playing "Everything You Wanted". I remember so distinctly being in a H & M record store at 86th Street and Lexington Avenue (NYC) in 1999 the DJ played that same song. Knocked me off my feet just like all their music
Thanks for uploading this. Been looking for this video (seen elsewhere, I think), and love the sound of the Taylor GS guitar. Thinking of purchasing one. Also dig Matt's Vertical Horizon sound, of course! -bruce
Sorry for the late reply. This was a promotional video which could be downloaded on the Taylor website (in a time before RUclips). I think this was the best quality that was available at the time, but I am not 100% sure. I searched extensively for a better quality version but I haven't fount it (yet).
Does anyone know what series guitar this is? I would like the exact specs for shopping purposes. If anyone knows which Shure mic pair is used on the guitar, that would help as well!!
+Jason O'Brian It is a Taylor GS8 I believe. Cedar top and Rosewood back and sides. I had this guitar. I bought one from a Taylor Road Show. It was by far the best sounding, playing and looking acoustic I have ever owned. It was so beautiful I had a hard time taking her out of the case. I ended up selling it and buying a Taylor DN4. I regret that decision. The GS8 was like a museum piece.

You sound so good with just your guitar... No band needed.

+Tom Philie Thanks Tom!
This is an old post so I think you can find even better mics now but the Shure SM57 is always a great choice
