Beautiful work! It's a shame it isn't in the common repertoire of the major symphonies of the world. Unfortunately, they play only the same old, same old. Not that what they play is not worthy, but they leave unplayed such that ought be common names, but are totally obscured.

This has to be the rarest documented symphony if not. Like no real person tried to preserve this music in an audio form until someone from youtube did with a software (but still not real as human performance).
Gerd, I've been a lifelong fan of dismissed Romantic symphonists. High on my wish-to--hear list include Rudorff1,2, Klughardt 2, Abert 1,2, 6,7, Rietz all 3, MacFarren 1,2,3,5,6, Chadwick 1, Hadley 1,3,5, Bristow 1, Niagara, Vierling, Wuerst syms, etc. I will be 80 in Dec. and have composed 24 myself, most on RUclips. Hope you can facilitate. Thanks.
You can tell it's not real people playing, but it's still very good, and not obvious until a few seconds have gone by. Too bad Lachner didn't have this music technology back then.
@@gerdprengel7616 I have posted Kalliwoda's first symphony. I have all seven of his. He was a wonderful composer. I have posted Reichel's second symphony in the pasted, but I am more interested in his other orchestral works.
Starts quite well, with Mendelssohnian similar lines. But then gets a little fit confusing without phrasing a convincing melody to close the 1st. movement. Then, is it incorrect to say the 2nd. movement is somewhat Pastoralian? Interesting piece but "youngful".
Really? I think the Coda (9:45...) of the first mov. is fantastic in its jubilent and most melodic and passionate outburst of joy!! "Pastoralian"? You really mean the 2nd movement which is the Scherzo? Or rather the Andante because of the strong use of the hoboe?
Thank you for your efforts here Gerd. Two things have been overlooked in the excitement - what orchestra is playing this ? Who is the conductor ? You might want to furnish this information if it is available to you. Please take note of this if you plan to upload more classical music. Thank you !
Johann Brandstatter - Oh my God! If you want to have a go at an up-loader for not mentioning who the Orchestra or Conductor is, AT THE VERY LEAST you should look at what he says in the description. Please take note of this if you plan to comment on RUclips again. Thank you.
Doh! When you think of the hours of labour put in by Gerd to make this wonderful music available to us, and you haven't even listened to the music carefully. And, yes, as you appear not to have noticed by reading or listening, it isn't a real orchestra.
@@warmswarm Johann may not have ever heard of note performer to realize how this was produced. I had not known of it until I read this description and I'm a professional musician. I find it a challenge to keep up with all the technology today.
Une sinistre machinerie mécanique et une véritable catastrophe que seul un ordinateur est à même de produire. Said like a true armchair critic! This beautiful music has been gathering dust somewhere and Gerd has taken the time and trouble to make sure that this is available to all. The production is understandably flat by comparison to a real orchestra, but the inspiring music still comes through.
Gerd, many thanks for your efforts. It's an amazing piece of music. Congratulations on being the first to record.

Adolf Reichel (1817-1897) might be a composer you might like to explore.

I think this piece sounds like Beethoven would live longer about 63 years old to compose a symphony.
it's closer to schubert actually
sounds a bit like a Waltz and a bit like videogame music because of the electronic sounds, but overall a great piece!
Scusa è una sinfonia "by computer"?
Altrimenti puio dirmi i nomi di direttore e orchestra?
by computer with the tool Noteperformer

The tempo of the finale is Allegro.
you are right, the tempo in the score is 80 for a half note. But I found it better here to do it a bit faster
I was talking more about providing complete information in the description. Your chosen tempo is quite appropriate.
