This is one of those tanks that just needs that extra 10-20mm of armor to make it so much more fun. The blyskawica can pull it off because its better angled and you need to skill to position just right - it can pull off some surprising bounces if you're using a bit of gun depression. All it takes is enough armor people start to bounce a bit more often and they stop shooting it unless they have really high pen.
They both have their own strengths and weaknesses. It's basically going to be a premium Kilana. I'd say overall they're super similar and basically the same in terms of how good they are.
polish td 5 degree gun arc...with worse armor than the kilana....yikes. HUGE damage dropoff from 800 to 200 at 500 meters YIKES. Polish TDS are probably the most situational tanks IN THE GAME, incredibly uncomfortable to play anywhere. Why have clunky gunhandling, with 5 degrees of gunarc...with low HP pool...with bad armor. Polish TDS would had been way better if they had strong lowerplates but just bigger cupolas. The current combination is just terrible. The whole line is about "be close and shoot big damage" but you can't deliver the big damage bcs insanely bad gunarc and bad armor,
The PL TD's work when the opponent is right in front of you and stays that way. They struggle in fast aggressive games to have an effective impact because they lack the armour and HP pool to brawl effectively despite having the amazing DPM. Thats what i have found playing them so far. The Grom will be basically very similar to the tech tree T8 PL TD the Kilana slightly worse in some aspects and situations and slightly better in others.
The whole line is bad, but not because of the reasons you mentioned. - You can't brawl because limited gun arc (very) and long reload (like 10-12 secs). Plus bad track traverse. Armor works some times, but at higher tiers people will use gold without hesitation. - You can't snipe despite having one of the best shell velocity (1500-1700m/s++ in game) because you have whack shell dispersion. For me, weak damage can be offset if you can hit your target at range. This line can't hit things reliably past 350m. - Also because limited gun arc, when sniping you have to constantly reset your dispersion because the hull keeps moving around. So, what this tank really is? A mid range sniper that can't hide, lul. That being said, I have some success with Kilana and Gonk with this tactic.
If you're sniping with the PL tds sorry to say but you're just bad. The tanks can play close and brawl but you have to be a good player to make it work well. Knowledge of positions making every shot count (pen rate) and just general game intelligence are required to be good in this tank. But never should you snipe in it...
@@tanks_with_wings Never say never, unable to think outside the box is what most WoT players are. People dont expect you to snipe in this tank. It can work mind you, but not at extreme ranges. Mid range sub 350m, where you don't get penalized too hard on the damage, and accuracy is workable (at below 350m) especially now with Concentration perk. I tried brawling, people just spam gold. Turn rate is horrible.
Bro the entire point of the PL td's is to be up close and personal. Sniping is the worst thing you can do because your dpm becomes absolutely none existent and your accuracy means you'll miss at least 50% of your shots. Keep playing them that way but don't be confused when you're doing less than 2k dpg...

Yeahhh for a T8 it just needs that tiny bit more and it'd be a much better tank
Sounds like either Hardening, Turbo, Rammer or Hardening, Vert Stab, Rammer. I'm looking forward to trying it out but have low expectations.
Yeahh most likely. Will be interesting for sure
vertstabs? its a td you cant :/
True forgot about that lol
@@tanks_with_wings well at least exp turbo can help with gun handling a bit
@@Pajonk33 True true
Is Kilana better?

@@tanks_with_wings Okay thank you👍🏻
No worries :)

The whole line is terrible. You want to be close but you cant cause paper armor. You want to snipe, you cant cause damage over 200m is too small.
The blyska (T10) is good in situations and is very very strong in onslaught. The others are kind of meh
