Hey. The more we have bus route filmers, the better we might be able to see an increase in ridership!

Uh oh! I forgot to tell you, that if you come to St. Louis, Metro has some buses that you need to film and this is a grand location to stand and film. MetroBus route number 49, MetroBus route number 57 at least in the Kirkwood, Des Peres, and Manchester, MO area, MetroBus route number 56 and MetroBus route number 9 in Missouri need to be filmed.

Why do these vehicles retire so early vs trucks, streetcars, trains, etc ??? Even airplanes! That bus looks and sounds immaculate.

Eh 14-15 years isn't early, but I see what you're saying, it really depends on how good the buses are (tho some transit agency's retireds their buses at 12 years 💀)

Also this is New York so road salt might also effect the bus

Buses are often retired early due to the following
      High mileage
      Cracked/ Dented frames
      Parts
      batteries and engine parts
      Engine wear and tear
Our transit agency NFTA ran 2001 & 2000 Gillig & Nova Bus LFS till 2022. A lot of times with the bad weather, potholes and salt wears down on the frames therefore leading to early retirement.
