Yes, I agree it is just work. But I also think that he is a pretty special worker. He always seems ready to do whatever his family needs, and that is not like a lot of kids these days.@@MrHurricaneFloyd
Zach isn’t it the greatest feeling when you can put your son in a tractor and know he is going to do a awesome job?! I know when it happened for me 2 years ago I was so proud I don’t think my smile could have gotten any bigger!
Onyx, please trust your confidence. Tell us what you're doing even if it's doing itself. We really enjoy seeing you doing work like a man. A farmer's son. Let's go!
Your family are the est love watching all your videos I miss farming you bring g alot of good memories back for me best rewarding profession ❤️ love it
Watching three generations working harmoniously on a family farm is nothing short of inspiring. The synergy between experience, wisdom, and youthful energy creates a mesmerizing sight. Onyx, we are eagerly waiting to hear your thoughts on this beautiful testament to the legacy of agriculture. Share with us your insights!
Working with your grandpa and your dad is very good for a young man. Maybe you won't have as many problems with the rest of the field. keep up the good work.
All you need is a 15/16 socket and Wrench. Loosing all the tension all the way off put the chain on then put the wrench on the jam nut and run it back up.If your having trouble getting the chain on the front sprocket take the sprocket off put it in the chain and then back through the slide bolt.Have rebuilt a bunch of those rows
Yes sir Zach I’m on board with having an Onyx cam need to see how well he runs the grain cart job and possibly when he runs combine keep up the great work you guy are great farmers wish I lived on a farm.
as someone that has watched onyx grow from a tiny kind to a young man that's running family farm equipment. keep giving him more responsibility that pushes his limits. but keep doing whatever u do off cam as a good dad that keeps them kids in line. love the content man.
Thanks for another great video. It was interesting. I vote yes on the Onyx camera. Onyx, I think after you can of got use to functioning with the camera you would get enjoyment out of it. Would give you more verbal interaction with everyone in the harvest process. Give it a try at least. Would be a good learning tool for you. Wonderful that grandson and grandfather work together in harvest. Keepsake moments and memories you will always have. Great seeing family doing the harvest. Wonderful. Doing good until you hit the laid over corn. I round drive one way and combine one way if it was me. No sense giving away corn. Get all you can is the way I look at it. Sorry about the gathering chain getting stuck. You and dad had it fixed in good time. Got it going again ready for tomorrow. Yea. About it I guess. Please pass on my best to Jim. We miss him. Trust your recovery is doing good. Take care Jim. Thanks for everything Zach and Dad and Onyx and Alan. Becky too for editing. The Iowa Farm Boy.
Onyx need a cam. Extra fuel also when harvesting only one way. Hope the good weather is heading your way Nice to see3 generations working together.👍❤️🇨🇦
Hey Onyx! Some words from Sweden here. Get a cam and do your thing/own channel. You can get more subs than your dad. Your mom will help you edit for sure. You are a good boy and I want to see more. Have the best! 🤗
I really enjoy your videos. It's been this way a long time, my little female pug hears that rattlesnake intro and goes berserk. She watches your videos with intensity from beginning to end as I do. She has the exact same bizarre reaction when Beth from Dog The Bounty Hunter is on the screen. You got skills!
Hey Zach! So far I’ve watched 1:35 of this episode and as an Agricultural Millwright who works on a crew that assembles, installs and maintains grain legs and other grain moving equipment…. I’d recommend some automatic greasers or grease cups for the top of your leg, also to check the oil level and clarity in your gearbox!
@@leemarchant7191 they are automatic grease dispensers you can install on a large bearing such as the ones on the top of his leg. They slowly feed the bearing grease over time. They basically make it so the top is always getting grease and you never have to go grease it during season, just change them out once a year
I'm envious of your Thunder trailer. Had been thinking about what I'd want on one not too long ago and wondering if it would all fit. Then your new one rolls in and I have my answer! Given the state of education in this country, I think it would be great for Onyx to jump in and tell people his age what his prospective is on farming.
Ontx is a great kid, and your dad is pretty awesome too. An "Onyx-cam" or even just a go-pro up in the corner of each cab, would be an excellent idea to capture those cool or unintentionally hilarious moments and a good source of additional content.
Wouldn't be a normal day without a break down. At least there was no further damage. Hope all goes well tomorrow. Harvesting down corn is definitely frustrating!!!
Just keep giving Onyx the camera and eventually he will get use to it. He’s a great kid and a hard worker. Everyone should be as lucky to have a son like him. Not to short change the young lady’s and your wife, who works hard behind the scenes and in the fields as well. Zack you are a blessed man.
Absolutely need an Onyx Cam. Also, would be a total hoot if one morning when you greet your dad that you give him a hug. Would love to see his expression.
Onyx, confidence is the key! If girls see you working, talking about what your doing, how much you picked up from your grandpa, them girls will fall for you!
Kiaora from New Zealand. What size areas do you have in each crop? Very impressive operation…great seeing generations working together so comfortably. Keep up the good content 👍👍
Zack, I, for one, would love to see and hear more from Onyx. I think he's a great little man, and it would be great hearing from the next generation about how things are done on the farm. Your dad must be so proud. Stay safe and God bless!!
How does the moisture meter work? Does it suck the corn down inside from the top and grind it or what? Thanks for your time and hard work. Much appreciated you guys.
Hi Zach, that full moon, it’s called the Harvest Moon. In the later days farmers used the light of that moon (the nearest full moon to the autumn equinox) to work late into the night, helping them to bring the crops from the fields. P.S.: The first shy “thunder” because of the presence of your dad, just cracked me off. 😂
Try magnesium glycinate for those cramps. My Dr. recommended it for me and I take 480mg (2-240mg capsules) with my last meal of the day. I haven't have a leg cramp since I started taking it.
Love the videos. makes me home sick to be back out in the field working with my Granddad of years ago. But I am surprise when you grease the bearing that you are not wiping the grease zerk off before adding grease. I was always taught and I still do it today to get the dirt and junk off the fitting so you do not drive dirt into the bearing with over time can cause early failure. Just like my Granddad taught to flip the open end wrench around as you are taking off or on a nut so you get max movement . :-) This of coarse is way before battery tools where around. :-) Keep up the good work and filming.
Your boy Onyx is such a fine boy. Well, you already know that. There are such moving parts to a combine. Wow, how do you know so much and what to check. It is mind blowing. lol
Great job ! I always liked farming I find this farming content very entertaining the challenge of keeping all the equipment running THUNDERRR Keep it up
A boy out working the fields with his Grandpa, those are the memories he will never forget!
Yes, I agree it is just work. But I also think that he is a pretty special worker. He always seems ready to do whatever his family needs, and that is not like a lot of kids these days.@@MrHurricaneFloyd
Hopefully gramps is still around.@@MrHurricaneFloyd
Just the beauty of a family farm
An Onyx Cam must happen! He is extremely entertaining plus the conversations with Nate 1.0 must be hilarious!!! How is Jim, we miss him! Praying
Jim is doing well! He claims he wants to try running the grain cart this week!
@@MillennialFarmer Glad to hear Jim’s doing well. Hopefully he’s back soon.
@@MillennialFarmerglad he is feeling better
Lovely
I am so glad to hear that Jim is doing well.
Where close to home when it means going home and quitting early. We’re far from home when it means working because there’s rain coming.
It’s amazing watching three generations working a family farm together. Onyx, we need to hear your thoughts on this.
He's not much for talking I guess. 🤣🤣
Hi to Millennial Farmer 🌹🌹 keep warm 🎂🍰🍰☕☕✌️☮️♥️♥️💌
Zack please tell Jim we miss him and hope he has a speedy recovery

Your saying hello to the kitties and cats is always appreciated
Always a good start of the day for him and me, kittens put a smile on my face ;)
THUNDERRRRRR!!! All together now!!!
Absolutely love seeing your boy running the big machines it’s awesome bud
Love the Chore gloves Grandpa/dad is wearing. Reminds me of my grandpa wearing them all the time on the farm.
The middle finger was mint! Best way to grow up is to be a farmer who is outstanding in his field
Ah gotta love some DP Action! Thunderrrrrr
Grandfather, Dad, and son ......Perfect 😊
The "shenanigans"....love it!
And Also we be keeping Jim in prayer hope he’s doing better.
Onyx, you are great on camera, go for it and don't worry about it. Just be you.
Your family are the est love watching all your videos I miss farming you bring g alot of good memories back for me best rewarding profession ❤️ love it
I like your dads voice, he is calming. I am sure he can use some working words but he seems like a good father and grandfather to work with.

Yes on the Ox cam.
Nice Haircut...rare during harvest in past years...gettin fancy.
Motors need Special Grease!! 2:00 leave the grease gun in a box at top of leg with special grease. 3:01
Too funny Zach! When you were up on the grain leg and said you could see Canada, I could see you too up there! 😂
Yes give him. A camera and start hi a RUclips channel the name should be Onyx Minnesota
in mid seventys after hurricane here near nc coast our corn was down so bad we had harvest with bean header.
I think I could see you Zach from San Diego - once you got to the top MAN, your legs must have been pumping once you got to the top !! Whew !!
I was waving from up in Canada. I hope you were able to see me!
I do understand that you are busy but wish you did more videos. Love your videos. Great job. Have a safe harvest.
I love it! Three generations of American Farmers working to feed this nation and the world. And yes, America Farmer should be capitalized.
Working with your grandpa and your dad is very good for a young man. Maybe you won't have as many problems with the rest of the field. keep up the good work.
Onyx I was the same way, just start with short statements clips of 5-10 seconds then build up from there you got this man

Can you elaborate on the grease cups?
Grease cups yes. Auto lubes no. Auto lubes fail way too much. Then when the failure is discovered the damage is already done.
@@leemarchant7191 they are automatic grease dispensers you can install on a large bearing such as the ones on the top of his leg. They slowly feed the bearing grease over time. They basically make it so the top is always getting grease and you never have to go grease it during season, just change them out once a year
Could you just run some grease line all the way down to the bottom of the leg? Or can a grease pump not push grease that far down a line?
@@dangerrangerlstc even if they could it's worth the inspection of the bearings / belts / etc.
Thank you and be safe
New Holland has a handy tool on the head to release the tension on the gathering chains
Watched you fixing that gathering chain. All I can say is Gearwrench 36" Flex head prybar. Your welcome😂
They have exhaust vent systems for 🚒 stations, Diesel truck inside. 19:14
