  • In this video I work on my Poinsettia forest. I would like to repot this grouping in the late spring sometime to mainly better place the trees as a forest. Don't mind my finger in way ! It is a longer video but I was on bonsai time!

    This is beautiful! I got a few at Home Depot and one off white one has a thick older base.

      I also got a few for gifts but pruned a few small branches for propagating. I hope to have a huge collection and make more people happy with beautiful flowers and leaves 😍 these make me so happy, especially on cold days. Outside is freezing but inside I’m getting tropical vibes ❤️

    Nice video! I enjoy when you explain more about why you make your cuts. It allows me to understand the bonsai process better.
    Thanks for the videos. :-)

    Hey that looks great! They grow like mad weeds here, but they're leafy members of the euphorbia family and most of those turn into trees here.

      Thanks Todd, That's interesting, I've seen them as trees in Mexico too. I cant wait to see what they look like in a few years.

      Thanks, I hope it comes back well again and that I'm able to keep a lot of the trunks and branches I cut back. I'll try and keep my finger out of the way next time!

    May I ask what soil you use was it bonsai or regular potting mix

    • @BonsaiJCan
      @BonsaiJCan  2 года назад

      Hi David I use roughly 50% turface and 50% purlite. Nigel Saunders " The Bonsai Zone" has a great video about this soil mix. I use the same soil he does.
