I’ve never watched a single episode of the original Total Drama Island and barely know anything about it. Plus it would be weird to suddenly change it after a few episodes. But I’ll keep the idea in mind for a future season.

Neo never said that was against the rules. All he said was to stay awake. Him and Sun never said anything about playing a little dirty. So what she did was technically fair game. Besides Mario might have stayed awake longer than Marie but Peashooter would never have fallen asleep so Mario’s team was going to lose no matter what.
I think that you should reveal the votes one by one like in survivor. Ya know, since it’s a remastered version and it would be a nice change of pace
