Salam Sheikh, just out of curiosity I am wondering what is the purpose of life according to Islam for those people who live and die without knowing or understanding Islam properly? I understand they go to Jannah according to Islam because they never received/understood the full message but then what is the purpose of their creation in the first place?
Thank you Sheikh for this explanation. I always found it unfair that the majority of the Muslim community calls all non-Muslims "kuffar" in a sense that they will go to hell without knowing whether or not they received the correct message and decided to deny it. Imagine someone telling you that you don't believe their story (example) without them even telling you their story, it's absurd. The prophet Muhammad (PBUH) received the first revelation at age 40, this doesn't mean that from the age of puberty until 40 he was a non believer, of course not, similarly, people who didn't receive the message yet cannot be judged until they hear about it. Question: will we as Muslims living in non-Muslim communities and interacting with non-Muslims in the workplace, school, neighbourhood etc. be held accountable for why we did not convey the message to them? is delivering the message to them an obligation? how can we go about it in the best way given all the challenges?
This is a tricky question. We are required to deliver the message to non-Muslims; the question, to me, is how? For me, the best way to do that is to be good ambassadors of our faith through our behaviour; mercy, decency and justice. Just by being a good functioning Muslim.
@@abozeidalhelali thank you for your reply. that's definitely the foundation of conveying the message but really as a way of life, whether being in a muslim or non-muslim community, good character is essential. However I noticed that (talking about myself first) having good character isn't enough to convey the message, it's passive and in most cases I avoid bringing up the topic out of fear of being incompetent, sounding strange, ruining relationships at work, etc. which is the excuse I have on not conveying the message, and it worries me if I will be asked on the day of judgment about being silent. I hope @MakingSenseofIslam can make a video about this. I myself if I was ignorant about a topic (be it religion or else) would be mad at someone not telling me about it. Perhaps we are selfish or coward, Allah forgive us and guide us.
How can you convey the message to an amazon tribe or people from North Korea? Isn't it highly impossible? Also why would god judge us based on some historical events rather than Universal principles. It makes no sense to believe in this Religion filled with lies and distortions.
