It's like that everywhere, there is different content in different countries. It's a narrative spinning app, at the same time, the algorithm will push content that is of the culture and politics of the country. Makes sense.
How can countries who criticise China for their censorship do the same and act like it isn't the same. The US banned tiktok because they cannot control it like all the other platforms
@@Azrael442yes US censorship is exactly the same as China 😂 Btw, that’s 5 points off your score for daring to criticise the glorious US of A Now get the difference?
Tik tok is particularly bad at what it acesses on the phone but meta is almost as bad. Though only short form content is far worse than long form videos. So I couldnt care less if it were banned.
@Tiochfaidh People seem to use it as an app to pass time that they get addicted to. So that they feel the need to constantly use it rather than use that time for a better purpose. It's like an addictive drug for them.
Perhaps you guys should have not ripped off Vine and lowered the attention span of an entire generation of people. Then we would have pity for you. Enjoy the ban and go touch grass!
He hasn't addressed whether he sold off ByteDance, which is owned by a Chinese company. He was given until this day to do it, so he hasn't and that's why the ban is coming.
Its crazy that this law is going through. From what I've read of the law on the gov website, the law can be used to get rid of any app not owned by American companies. I for one find tiktok much improved over the last 2 years and prefer it above all other platforms
That’s not the point, it’s a Chinese owned app, that’s 1) poisoning the minds of millions with complete Cack and 2) stealing and selling everyone’s data. China isn’t a friend of the west
Why is tiktok different in China compared to the US? And there lies the problem.
Exactly

Tiktok is banned in china
@NatureSymphonicMusic No, it's not. In China, it's all education based. In the US, it is mostly chewing gum for the eyes.
@@smokemeakipper1076 As a chinese I can confirm the 'DouYin' is the same chewing gum plus far more commercial live sessions.
How can a Chinese company complain about censorship?
It's in partnership through third party data sharing. Technically it's not owned partly or completely.

When China opens up to RUclips, Facebook, Google, NY Times, Microsoft, Applet…. then TikTok can stay in the U.S.
@@DanH-f3bThere is bo credit score. That is a myth. 😂
What BS, THEY CANCELLED ME after I posted I didn’t get the COVID shot
Imagine them talking about privacy
Meanwhile TikTok is banned in China. Explain that Shou Zi Chew?

Rest assured, we will do everything we can to keep the app running in order to better collect US data.
