- Leiftech vs Freebord Da Blues wheels. I bought the Freebord Da Blues wheels to replace my Leiftech stock wheels. Some call my Leiftech a freebord with a motor or a motorized freebord. Some call it an eSnowboard or electric freebord. Either way, I wanted to do a how to guide on replacing my Leif tech electric skateboard wheels with freebord wheels.
The Leiftech stock wheels are loud and annoying when sliding. Changing to the Freebord Da Blues wheels is so much quieter.

Paolo fromTOKYO hey Paolo, havenʻt seen any vids of eiding lately. Have you been able to ride during this pandemic. Also your vids have kept me skeptical of the Leiftech. I did however pick up the Summerboard and itʻs a blast. I can see it is a bit if maintenance. Iʻve had the board about two weeks and have rotated the wheels 5x and tightened the belts twice already. I ʻve freeborded for over ten years and now there are no hills so ended up getting it. Hope all is well!

I really want these wheels because i just bought a used freebord and the wheels on it are really worn out and want a new set of wheels on it to make it newer and look a lot better. Great video by the way really appreciated it in the search for new wheels.

I'm a big fan, Paolo. First saw your vids a couple of years ago when I was shopping for leiftech. This looks like the last vid you made about it, did you ever end up getting the summerboard? Do you still ride leiftech/summerboard now?
Cool vid, nice to know it is very easy to replace the wheels with alternatives. I'm waiting for my board to ship and arrive, some spares would be cool to win :) Even though Freebord wheels seem better, they are not easy to get around here.

Hey you guys know if your stock wheels chirp and honk like that it means you need to rotate them and turn them all backwards and then it won’t make that sound anymore?
I would love these wheels since I'm learning to cruise and all that board stuff. Right now I'm looking for a new minicruiser board (all pats bought same place), and am making a wooden minicruiser board too, and to complete my board I just need the wheels.. the bearings and bushings are already with me, same for trucks, so this would just fill my build and make me grow in cruising experience...

Close your eyes and listen to the Leiftech. It perfectly simulates the sound of bees. If you were a foley artist and needed to make the sound of bees without actually using bees, the Leiftech is 10 out of 10.

Hi Paolo! I don't own a Leiftech board yet. I'm still not a 100% sure if I should buy one. Your comprehensive review about the Leiftech maintanance really was an honest, eye-opening and well documented video and made me wonder if the maintance trumps the fun of having a Leiftech. What is your honest opinion after these 6 months? Anyway keep up the good work and if your spare wheels make it all the way to Belgium I may aswell buy an electric skateboard. :-D
Hey Roeban89, The maintenance vs fun is truly a love/hate relationship. People more inclined to tinker around would be fine, but I'm not one of those people. In the end, I think I would have preferred to have just purchased a more reliable board. Aside from that, Leiftech customer service has gone from bad to worse for me. After making the video, they said they wanted to make things right and publicly told me that they would send me new parts to get my board up to spec with the current build. 1.5 months of waiting and they tell me a few days ago that now I have to pay for any upgraded parts. It's really hard for me to recommend this company to anyone at this point. Anyway, thank you for watching and hope to talk to you again.

Quieter? Almost no noise from any wheels I've tried.
I would really like the wheels because I'm a twelve year old boy who loves snowboarding but can't do it in the summer so I just sit in my room and play video games I just recently found out these exist and really want one but I come from a divorced family who isn't very rich so if I get these it will get me slightly closer to getting the full board I wish I could prove this but I hope you can believe me
Get a freebord, it's much cheaper, and it's the original bord. It's a lot better if you want to feel like you are snowboarding

Bro don't be a tool. The reason your original wheels make noise is because they don't have a beveled edge. Rounded edges don't make noise... The more you know.
Once the wheel starts to wear the edge becomes sharp. Take it from someone who has gone through many many sets of da blues. The more you know. Do you even downhill? Making comments like you know what you're talking about.

I found some in a ebay shop from the UK. Took about a month an a half to get here and the shipping price is ridiculous but the wheels are worth it. I dont own a leif tho, I freebord.. so take that for what its worth.

This kid was sent free parts internationally from Leif, and complains about stuff that breaks on all boards. Taking advice from him, is like Casey. He does't know because he's never tried everything else. I own a kaly, metro, bb 1&2, Leif 1 &2, zboard, ow etc, he has 0 idea what he's talking about.
