I love this! My family on my grandfather's side is from Fiuggi. These videos are so great for people to visit parts of the world they may not ever get to visit, especially our ancestors home towns. I try to imagine them in older times walking the streets and living their lives
Been there, such a beautiful uphill town, known for its famous fiuggi water, to wonder it is just a small town but with five stars grand hotel, it's true many rich people staying there to have their thermal water teraphy, proven and highly recommended by the physicians. Thank you for featuring it.
For those asking why I didn't film the river, I wasn't allowed to go film inside because of privacy, as many people were naked in the spa receiving thermal water therapy. Also I'm sorry for the heavy breathing. The medieval village is on top of the mountain and I was climbing all the stairs for 30 minutes to experience life like the locals. I should've included background music to silence the breathing
Do you know what the bottles are setting by the doorway? This is truly fascinating seeing this beautiful town! It's just breathtaking! It was so quiet in through the areas you walked. The Fiuggi...incredibly interesting! Absolutely enjoyed this tour so very much! Thank you sincerely for this share! ☺
The bottles by the doorways contain common water from the home faucet. The reason to place them outside is the popular belief that it is useful to keep cats away and avoid that they piss by the door.
Fiuggi is a lovely town not far from my villa in the same region. Unfortunately, I don’t get to enjoy it much as I do not live in Italy. However, as I see how many steps there are, it is not for the elderly. I saw that woman with a cane going up the stairs and felt so bad for her. Maybe I will come back to visit someday.
The distance is about 70km. About an hour drive. Sorry I couldn't go inside where the river is located. It's well protected and you have to pay to go inside for a spa and drink from the source
I'm sorry about the heavy breathing. The medieval village is on top of a high mountain and I was climbing all the steps for 30 minutes to experience life like the locals
Hahaha you're absolutely right. Climbing those stairs everyday can really keep you fit. And most villages in Italy are built on top of the mountains. That is how they were able to defend against invading enemies in medieval times.
Lovely old town with no noisy tourist. We will be in Italy in 3 weeks. The Italian lady even walk up to this stairs with her cane. Good exercise for her.
Does the old have drinking water, sanitation(toilets),electricity, and gas??Trim people must have inhabitated the old lots of steps .what industry did they have? New.city is open, lots of trees sutiable for retirement living..as usual no baby carriages..
John I am italian, those places do have electricity, heat systems, sewers, there is italian and european laws imposing these thing. People still.live there because italians but i can say europeans do have a strong feel of belonging to their homeland. The villages without basic services were abandoned in the 50's and there are some italian website of ghosthunters and hikers showing those villages.they usually were built really on the top or the mountainside, with one access road large just for a cart. In the appennines villages are high in the hills and modern factories are in the valley,in the alps both residential and productivity zones are in the valley usually 1000m above sea level. Travelling I was surprised about these elderly still living in a place where you have to do steps everyday but they are trained since childhood so they have muscles. Of course if they get sick or too old they arrange for hospice or living with sons in a modern place.

The bottles on the steps contain water from the miracle river that can cure all diseases
@@AmazingWalkingTour I thought that was what it was. That is truly wonderful! Really really enjoyed this one! Thanks again!

Hello, my good friend. Have you ever traveled to Isfahan? Isfahan is known as half of the world. You must see Isfahan...
Is it possible to visit iran solo plus soms local guides?
Looks lovely but where is everyone?
They spend their time in the new town
Looks like an old mountain town where no secrets are hidden & everyone know & hate each other.
Is it worth a visit in January?
January is very cold and wet. It rains almost every day
이곳이 물로 유명한 곳인가요
Who is living in old town?
Every morning the people from the old town go to the new town to work and relax. If you watch till the end you will see them in the new town.
It looks like a labyrinth
I know it very well because I live there. I can give you some information
Oh you live there. That's great
It'd be like living in the death zone on Everest !
Hahaha nooo! It's actually a nice and interesting place to live.
Thanks you. Viel schoner als "Skunkville"....dies not have a taco bell and walmart.....how is that possible?
They have local stores
Ever nazist s in Holland, because, inferiorità senso. No?
Only I could hear heavy breathing of this guy waking around the town?
I'm sorry about the heavy breathing. The medieval village is on top of a high mountain and I was climbing all the steps for 30 minutes to experience life like the locals
@@AmazingWalkingTour I feel bad for you. And I understand why Italians stay fit. And Americans gaining weight. 😉
Hahaha you're absolutely right. Climbing those stairs everyday can really keep you fit. And most villages in Italy are built on top of the mountains. That is how they were able to defend against invading enemies in medieval times.
No view of the river itself?!
Filming is not allowed inside as there are rich people in spas naked
@@AmazingWalkingTour True ! personal privacy is highly protected in Italy, and it could be jailed for violating it.
Yeah
Lovely old town with no noisy tourist. We will be in Italy in 3 weeks. The Italian lady even walk up to this stairs with her cane. Good exercise for her.
Yeah. I believe climbing the stairs everyday keeps them fit.
Io vivo a fiuggi
Italy is very similar to the Albania love it🇮🇹♥️
No thanks... Italy>albania
Beautiful place but not people with knee and respiratory problems.
Hahaha but I think those stairs are a great exercise.
Where is the people? No one. Nothing. Any life? For what?
Watch till the end
L’Italia e motto bella pero quando ci manchi da tanti anni, e motto difficile ritornare per vivere li. Sorry but my Italian is very rusty.
You're doing great.
How does 911 gets up there if needed. Risky place to live!
I thought as much
In Italy it's 112, nobody will reply on 911
Does the old have drinking water, sanitation(toilets),electricity, and gas??Trim people must have inhabitated the old lots of steps .what industry did they have? New.city is open, lots of trees sutiable for retirement living..as usual no baby carriages..
Farming and hospitality is their source of income
