Just passed my checkride on my 17th birthday this past Monday. If you come out to KSPG again look for a blue Piper Arrow and say hi! I really appreciate you and LewDix and your genius. 😂

I will tell you when you go for your IFR with Rob you will already know what to expect so it will be a breeze and you won't be nervous at all. I'm working on my commercial now and hope to have it done by September and get a checkride with Rob again. The second go around was so much less stress and easier, just went in confident on every question and we were done in like 30 mins or so and went flying. These are quality videos to really help student and future pilots!
Just passed my checkride, thanks of course to Zero Three Delta and LewDix ; ). Only different question was one around why, aerodynamically speaking, if the CG is too far aft can't the elevator maintain level flight

Well clouds may confuse you but I see you were on cloud 9 when you made that 100 mark, must be a great feeling. Congratulations and a job well done Gareth, looking forward to see what is next!!! ;-)
Apps if they exist for check rides are a great tool. I used a theory one for my HGV (CDL) to drum the correct answers into my pea brain 😄

Typically I’m not a fan of football/soccer. I’m more of a rugby guy 🤷🏻♂️

Looks like you bounced a little on that landing? Was it a warm day? Was that why you had the vents open to cool the engine?

Did you have to do clearing turns before every maneuver or did he allow a previous maneuvers (Steep turns for example) to count as clearing turns?
If I’m honest, I don’t actually remember. I definitely did them before our first set of maneuvers, which was steep turns. Steep turns we’re like clearing turns anyway. We then went into slow flights which transitioned into a power off stall.
What is maneuvering speed? How do I calculate it for my aircraft?
It’s max speed that you can stall the aircraft without causing structural damage. Workout using this formula: square root of Weight/max gross weight, multiplied by Va at max gross. It's the manufacturers job to work this out, though and should be in your POH.
