I only recently discovered Widespread Panic, living as I do in Australia. I found them through Jimmy Herring, whom I also only recently discovered. He plays similarly to Dicky Betts, in my observation, and that's a good thing.
Seen you guys at Mempho in 2021 for the first time. As a farmer in Arkansas I wasn’t sure if I was going to make it because of harvest but it rained that weekend and it shut us down so I got to catch the show. That weekend meant so much to me. Keep on rockin guys.
First time seeing WSMFP was Bonnaroo 02. We walked in to these boys and Dottie Peoples playin Tall Boy. It was that moment Chance and I knew hitchhiking from upstate NY was indeed the right thing to do. What can I say, It's a PANIC!
Every time that I get blessed to witness this song every person around me can tell that this song is just plain mfing panic. They really enjoy playing with each other.
Everyday I ask myself why bangers like this don’t get more traction with the general pop. Sirius at least should play panic on channels besides jam on.
